I've been going to Dr. Paul Lee for over 10 years. I love his work, honesty, and how he and his team improved my teeth. I had several issues with old caps and he has the latest tech to replace them right there in the office. All the fillings I received are perfect. He stays up on the latest dental techniques and tools. The dental cleanings are pristine and they coax you in a nice way to floss and brush your teeth more. I've had my insurance company change many times of the years and I stuck with Dr. Paul Lee regardless if my dental plan has his practice "in network" or "out of network". So I am sticking with his practice for good. I just went in yesterday for an emergency visit as a very old crown broke off, Dr. Lee was able to get this 1/2 crown off and informed and showed me the crown in front needed to be replaced as you could see decay under the crown. He took care of both in the office in 2 hours (it took about an hour for crowns to be made - as he makes them himself in the office with his high-tech setup). Now my teeth are good as new again. read more

I came to De Lee to get an old crown replaced. He removed the old crown and placed a crown build up. He then took an impression of my tooth to aid him making a new crown. No material had to be put in my mouth to make the impression it was all done digitally. Absolutely Amazing!! He then has all the equipment to make his crowns in the office and can deliver them the same day. Why am I so amazed about this?? Because I worked in the dental field for 30 years in my career days, I have been out of the field for 18 years. Just so amazed how efficient and painless he makes it feel. Both he and his talented staff of dental hygienists exude a perfect blend of friendliness and professionalism and have a way of putting patients at ease - even when telling them they need to floss more! The office is always clean and welcoming, and the receptionists are pleasant and accomodating. They're also great about staying on schedule; it's rare that I've ever had to wait more than a few minutes past my scheduled appointment time. I've lived in the Nova area for about five years now and my orthodontist at the time recommended Dr. lee as that is who she uses. I couldn't be happier! Not only is he and his team top notch, but the techniques he uses are cutting edge and wonderful. I went to Dr. Lee a few years ago for some major work. I had a buildup, crown lengthening and then a crown applied. The machinery they have there for crowns (CEREC) is quite high tech, and it build your crown while you wait. Instead of waiting a couple of days, or weeks, your crown is ready 30 minutes after the mold is done. Convenience factor is high. But I was not too impressed with the quality of the tooth itself. It's color and form looks cheaper than any other crown I have had done. Crowns that I had done at Reston Dental Arts looked considerably better. The CEREC machine is fast, but unless it's improved since my visit, I don't think its worth the speed , for what it lacks in the appearance of the tooth. Its far back in my mouth, so not very visible, but it's a fact , so I mention it. My main problem though was I was called in for a cleaning at a later date. I forget the technical name for it, but it was a "deep" cleaning. Not your standard prophylaxis. As I researched the day before I went it, I found out that my insurance did not cover that procedure. It only covered 2 "cleanings" per year. When i got to sit down with they hygienist , I explained that my insurance does not cover the extended cleaning, and could I just get the standard cleaning covered by my insurance. Basically, the hygienist refused. She said it had to be the extensive one. This extensive cleaning is generally done for someone who hasn't had their teeth cleaned in forever. Maybe someone who hasn't been to Dentist in 5 yrs or something. This was not my case. I basically told her I could not afford to pay any more out of pocket this year, since I had maxed out my dental insurance with the crown procedure. She basically said sorry, and she could not do regular cleaning, so on my way I went, leaving the office with no cleaning done, and half a day from work wasted. The next day , i get a somewhat testy email from the office , saying in so many words, that I should cancel in time for future visits and not waste their time. So , here I had already dropped about $2300 in their office for the year, had to take half a day off from work, and then get there to be told they wont do a cleaning on my teeth when I explain that is all my insurance will cover, and I'm the bad guy for wasting their time?! Horrible attitude and customer service. If a customer who just spent $2300 at your office and explains that only a regular cleaning is covered by his insurance, and asks not to have the super duper cleaing at $100 plus out of his pocket...you should probably do right by your customer and do the regular cleaning , instead of sending your patient home. Dr. Lee was very friendly and approachable, but the rest of his staff did not impress, and I'm not convinced in the CEREC technology used for crowns. read more

My wife has an EXTREME fear of dentists based on some childhood trauma with her dentist. It had been a number of years since her last dentist visit and he has since retired. We went to Dr. Lee based on his on-line reviews. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. At his first introduction Dr. Lee took and held my wire's hand as he talked to her, and sought to put her fears at rest. We elected to have use the option of in office anesthesia so that all of the required work could be done in one visit. The a anesthesiologist, who Dr. Lee works with, also did an excellent job at making my wife feel at ease, and in fact called and talked to her the day before to go over her health issues and allay her fears. Dr. Lee and his staff were extremely friendly and comforting, and did a wonderful job dealing with a very anxious patient. My wife was so pleased with the care that she received, that she has agreed to go back for regular checkups with Dr. Lee, which she would never have dreamed of doing before. I would highly recommend Dr. Lee and his staff, particularly if you have anxiety issues about going to the dentist. read more

My family of five have been going to Dr. Lee for many years and he is so talented and expert that I can enthusiastically recommend him. The entire staff is so friendly and warm and accommodating that I actually really love going to the dentist! I have had several crowns and I am astonished at how quickly they are made on site and how they fit perfectly. With my prior dental experiences I was always losing fillings and crowns and now I never have to worry about what I am eating. The day before my daughter left for college I called the emergency line on a weekend and Dr. Lee came immediately into his office to check her tooth and was extremely kind and patient when it turned out to be nothing. The other important skill set of Dr. Lee is that his cosmetic work is amazingly artistic and natural looking. It is such a relief to have found my "forever" dentist.
