This dealership is a joke. I was totally screwed over on sales when I bought my brand new truck. Sold to me for way more than what it was worth with a faulty after market tire. I let it go and dealt with it on my own. Service department has been awful! I have left both my Fords in service to have oil changed for them not to be changed and paid for. I then had almost 8% oil life left after a month of my visit and had to take it to another mechanic to find out it had never been changed at all and black. Went in this morning for a service appointment I scheduled in advance. The rubber gaskets on the top of my less than a year old Mach E are deteriorating and falling apart. This is readily apparent and can easily be seen by just standing next to the car and looking. My service advisor was Bryce Gardner who told me that this was a known issue and they'd replace them under warranty. Cool right? No, you see in order for that to happen I have to leave my car with them until someone can verify that they are actually falling apart. I was told that would take five days. That's not five days for it to be repaired that's five days for someone to spend 10 seconds to determine they need repaired which Gardner has already done. Then and only then they'll see how long it'll take to repair it. I asked if they had a loaner vehicle and they do not. They do however have an Enterprise rental service conveniently right there. So to be clear they expect me to pay out of my own pocket to rent a vehicle for five days before someone will spend 10 seconds to decide this known issue that their service advisor has already personally seen needs repaired. There's a lot of Ford dealers in the metroplex and most aren't running rental car scams. Trust me take your business somewhere better. read more

Has to be the absolute worst Ford dealer in the Country. Took my $100k 2024 F-350 in for a grinding noise in rear diff. This is my 12th Super Duty but first new truck ever. Dropped it off and after 3 weeks on the lot was told the front hub couldn't be changed out because I had air bags on the front. After convincing them to look at rear diff like originally agreed. Was denied because apparently I sabotaged my new truck and opened the rear diff messed it up and used orange rtv to seal the cover. Was told Fords don't have orange rtv to seal rear diff and NEVER have. After much pleading I was told I had one day to prove I didn't tamper with it because they needed the lift for other vehicles. After calling Dana Spicer I went to McDavid Ford. I crawled under their new trucks and took a video of 2025s with orange rtv sealing the rear diffs, for sale on the lot. After proving I didn't intentionally sabotage my daily work truck with 18k miles (with a 100k Ford bumper to bumper warranty) they agreed to work on it. I was told the carrier was locked up and needed replacement, the diff was full of metal shavings. After 1 month I got my truck back. My rear King Ranch hubcaps had been scratched up, laid chrome side down on the shop floor. My wheels were gouged by the pry bar used to pull them off. My diff had orange rtv smeared all over it along with rear shocks sway bar and wiring, but diff was sealed up with grey??? I drove it off, but after how the tech had left my truck I started looking closely. I noticed my driveshaft nor my hubs had been removed. So I asked how the bearings that were grinding all the metal were changed. I was told the computer told them to only replace the carrier. They didn't replace the bearings, they didn't even flush the fluid that was full of metal shavings. So after 1k miles I removed the plug, it was covered in metal. I put an inspection camera in. My ring and pinion gears are grooved I had metal pieces all over in there and the bearings looked like 150k with only 20k. I went back several times wanting my wheels and hubcaps replaced and my rear differential fixed correctly. I was told the computer didn't tell them to change the metallic laden fluid, or flush the diff and axles, didn't tell them to change the severely scored ring and pinion, or shim them, nor the severely scored bearings. So after taking pictures of more and more metal in the diff over a couple thousand miles I demanded to talk to the manager. The sales manager, after seeing the photos, assured me that they'd take care of it. Dropped off my truck and had to practically beg for a loaner vehicle even though I was without my new truck for work again because they failed to fix it right the first time. Well not one phone call, email, or text and 28 days later they pulled it in to do the diagnosis. I was told the amount of metal in the diff was normal and even though there are actual shavings present and worn gears on a 21k miles truck, that was normal. So they changed my hubcaps, left me with wheels they gouged, and returned my truck to me with all the metal in the rear diff to continue to accrue while the non shimmed ring and pinion continues to eat itself and the bearings continue to mill the metal into a cool shiny paste. Oh and the loaner truck that was loaned to me to work out of while my brand new truck spent another MONTH in the shop. I was charged $500 without my knowledge for scratching the inside of the truck bed. I was told I wasn't supposed to use the truck as a truck and putting anything in the bed was considered damage if it scratched the bare paint in the truck bed. This is a horrible dealer. The worst service experience I've ever experienced. They had my truck 2 months yes 2 months and all they did was make me lose money from not having my truck, charged me money for using the loaner truck as a truck, scratched my truck on the taillight, it got hit in the bumper in their holding are, my driver side dually fender is scratched, and they never even fixed my truck. I would have been way better off never going to McDavid Ford. My fear is that my rear differential locks up with my children in the truck and possibly on a busy freeway with other drivers all around me at 70mph. Imagine the safety risk this poses. read more

I replied yes they asked me for my VIN number and some other information regarding my trade-in and sent me to the Kelley Blue Book site where it stated that my truck was worth between 18k and 21k. Keep in mind that this was after I put my VIN number in through the David Mcdavid website which automatically forward me to the Kellie blue Book website. I downloaded the information from the Kelley Blue Book site and saved it to my phone. I decided I would just go casually to look at some trucks at Their lot. so I made an appointment with their salesman David, who had been going back-and-forth with via text and I arrived at the car lot. He showed me a couple of trucks. I've given him my keys for an appraisal from their lot there this all took about four hours five hours. They came back to me with an offer. He said you're not gonna like this offer very much. I said why he says because they only wanna give you $6000 for the trade-in you owe 7000. I was really setback. I explained to him that I would've never come over knowing that that their website had sent me to the Kelley blue book site which stated that my truck is worth Between 18k and 22k. I promptly let the cells know that I was ready to leave. I was very very unhappy that was an insult to me. The truck only had 60,000 miles in on it and he said the reason that the trade-in value came in so low was because it had a little Thing on the windshield from a rock that it hit the windshield and it's had a small crack in the front left headlight which is about $500 worth of stuff he said so I said I need my keys. I'm ready to go. They wouldn't give me my keys finally the Manager came out that did the appraisal on my truck and said listen. Let's let's try to work something out how about I'm gonna go back and see what I can do and he came back about 10 minutes later and said that he would be willing to give me $12,000 For my truck. I've been there now close to seven hours. I think I was very tired. I am diabetic. I hadn't eaten all day and I was just very tired so my truck value went from $6000 trade-in to $12,000 trade-in within a few minutes and my Equity in the truck and in other words they ran the thing and they said that I only owed $3000 on my truck and that I had an $8000 equity. The truck that I wanted was down to 38,000 somehow it ended up coming at all said and done after my trade-in and everything I ended up buying this truck for 42,000 something they tried to sell me all kinds of stuff like Gap coverage and everything. I didn't have my reading glasses with me and I could not read the contract that they were asking me to sign I pleaded with them that I could not read and that I was very tired anyway 10 hours at the car lot I was just really just worn out. I ended up with a truck that was not happy with it all. I don't even think it was the truck that I even test drive so the next day when I got home, I went out and looked at the truck and I was very very disappointed and had major buyers remorse. I looked online and there were so many things that I didn't Get to take advantage of like 0% interest my bike score is 780. Brought my SUV in for yet another recall. I told them I have brand new blades on my car DO NOT TAKE my $85 blades. They stole them put some cheap Ford product on there they stole my stuff. They also did a update on the computer now none of the gears show up and now they will have to fix the internal problem they caused by doing that. I took my car to David McDavid Ford on the west side of Fort Worth. I needed shocks and/or struts on the front of my car. By the time they finished with their "recommendations", my repair bill was up to $5000+ for a job that I thought would cost me in the range between $1000 - $1300. I said that because I don't have a major credit card that I would have to wait. I requested that they take care of my recall since my car was already there. My service advisor said no problem. This was one of the last times I talked to him. By this time they'd already had my car a week. I called and left multiple messages and didn't get a response for another week. This was on a Friday saying my car would be ready on Monday. Monday came and went with no call back. I just wanted SOMEONE, ANYONE, to tell me what was going on. We found his most recent truck had a rear leak and took it in for diagnosis on a Saturday. It took them nearly all day to find a pinion coil that needed fixing. We were told to come back early in the week for a one-day fix. We dropped it back off on a Tuesday. It's Wednesday night as I'm writing this and my husband is on his way home in a courtesy car because after two whole days, service still hasn't fixed the problem. I'm not sure what's wrong with their technicians, nor do I claim to be a mechanic myself but I at least know how to keep my word or stay in communication with people about something. Had a terrible experience today. I set an appointment in advance with Moe yesterday to view a specific truck. Ariel from the sales team called me this morning to verify if I was going to show up, and I confirmed. When I showed up the truck was outside and I saw the sunroof (attached photo) with damage. Moe said it was not safe to drive and was being looked into being auctioned. I asked him why he did not call me to let me know about the damage because this was a waist of my time, he said he just saw this. Not quite sure where to start...on 7/31 we dropped off our Ford Edge, very clean, to get fixed as Fly Wheel and Flex Plate had to be replaced. It was a Recall, by the way which we NEVER received a letter from Ford Corp about. On 8/4, they were able to look at it and determined that those parts had to be replaced and advised that Ford had to approve it. Then the parts needed had to be ordered....understandable. On 8/7 they got approval from Ford to go ahead and fix it. On 8/8 they ordered the part and they advised that they should be starting in on 8/12. Now mind you this was a two day job...between 8/12 to 8/21, we had to call them every couple of days to find out the status of our vehicle. Communication is horrible as no one bothered to call us on their own and at times didn't even return our calls....finally on the morning of 8/22 we get a call stating that our car would be ready to p/u about 1:30 pm. We arrive promptly at 1:30, and the front and side of my white car had greasy fingerprints on it. My husband hadn't even gotten in the car yet and had to ask them to run it to their car wash due to the grease...they acted completely clueless, but washed it. Here is the final straw...my husband gets in the car and was furious when he saw the front seat of the car....please see pictures below....that is how it was returned to us. They could have least put everything they took out, in a bag rather than on the front seat and floor. Also, why did they have to dump my glove box??? Bought a 2022 Tesla Model 3 long range from them for $36,500. I told Sam the price is too high but the sales manager refused to budge. They also only gave me $16,000 for my trade in when KBB value is $18,600. They later posted my trade in on their site for sale around $23,400 and it sold within 2 weeks so clearly my trade in was a highly sought out vehicle. One month later, they are selling 2022 Tesla Model 3's on their lot for around $32,000. They ripped me off immensely. I do not recommend them at all. read more

Update Regardless of their response on yelp, they did not make an attempt to resolve this issue. So i took the vehicle to BMW and had to replace the break pads and rotors. So if you do find a vehicle here do not assume that because they have several locations that they are trust worthy. Do not rely on invoice's from their own auto shop that they might show you, stating that they made repairs or additional investments into the vehicle. Be sure to check things out for yourself so that you don't find yourself making repairs like that right after a purchase like i did. Good luck! read more

Wow. They tell you to use their website for a trade value, and send an email stating their are giving $3000 over that for a trade in by 9/1. My trade value stated by their website showed about $45-47k on my very nice Ford truck. They also show a discounted price on a new truck by about $8k. Right under that, it states you can get 0% financing for up to 48 months with approved credit (my score is about 840). I go in just to get figures. After some nice chat, the salesman gets my info and prints out a sheet he wants me to sign for credit application. I state I want to see figures BEFORE I apply for credit (he knows I have an excellent score). Finally, he gives me a sheet showing the truck at FULL retail value, less my trade at a much lesser figure than what their website showed, and did not include the additional $3k that they offered to me in an email. Salesman stated...the $8k discount is not given if they give 0% financing. If their ad states that, it is in some obscured fine print somewhere...but right under the discounted truck ad, they are offering the 0%. The drive out figure he gave me is about $75k...using their information on their website and email, it should be about $62k. So, I am ready to leave...want my keys back. I had to ask for them three times. They also...THEN...said they would honor the $8k discount. WHAT...they give me their BEST figure...I balk...then they lower it $8k. I still balk, as the trade is not where they had advertised it to be...they offer up ANOTHER $2k. Guys...why play this game. I am a repeat customer...you should have given me your best shot the first time. Now, who can you trust?? More info...next day (today), received two phone calls wanting to know about my experience. We searched for a Ford Expedition for about 2 months. We looked from McKinney to Dallas for a good vehicle. About a month ago, we gave up our search due to the cost of available vehicles. We found this vehicle on cars.com. The reviews weren't great about the dealership. However, we took a chance. Heman (salesman) and Gerald (sales manager) treated my children like nephews. Even better I expected to negotiate dealer fees. Heman reassured us that there were no dealer fees and sold us the vehicle at the advertised price! Turns out this dealership is extremely transparent and helpful. While I expect everyone to have a different experience, I do believe this dealership was rated low unfairly. After my car being totaled and searching for three plus weeks for a vehicle, I was frustrated and exhausted! We found a vehicle that we were very interested in at David McDavid Ford. We called ahead and spoke to Benji. Then we made the trip from Garland to Fort Worth. It was a long trip! We found the car to be just as described on the internet. We met Benji, test drove the car, and made the purchase. Because I financed the vehicle through my credit union, the purchase took a few days. During this time, I communicated with Benji mostly by text message. He was always very quick to respond and to answer my questions. He went out of his way to cover any/all issues due to outside financing prior to me making the trip back to finalize the sale, which I greatly appreciated. At no time did I feel pressured, hassled, or deceived. When the paperwork was presented to me there were no "additional charges" presented as other dealerships had done. However throughout the process we requested a copy of the work order on the vehicle and was assured it was forthcoming. As recent as last week I wrote an email still requesting the work order which has gone unanswered. Prior to purchasing the vehicle McDavid relentlessly solicited our business from the General Manager on down. Now there is only silence. Let me start this review by saying I wish I had checked Yelp first before going. Now after seeing that as of 11/7/2021 they have 188 reviews averaging 2 stars, I don't feel like I'm being a Karen/Kevin. These guys are the slimiest, lying, lowdown, stereotypical car salesmen you've ever heard of. I wouldn't send my enemies mama there. They wasted our time, lied about a vehicle being there, let us come back with an appointment to see the car, only to then tell us after sitting us down and getting our kids settled that it was sold! To add insult to injury while sitting there and extremely frustrated I told the sales guy I wanted to speak with the manager. He proceeds to go and talk to him in a glass office we can see for ten minutes, to then come back without the manager! Tried to slide us over to a different car and never brought the manager out. I was fuming. I will never ever do business with David McDavid. Frankly, I'd be McAshamed to have my name attached to this place with these type of clowns. Don't go here. Spare yourself. I just bought a used car there and I went to a dealership because I was hoping was gonna be a better experience before and after but to be honest it don't make a difference if you purchase at this dealership or at any car lot down in the hood, when I bought it it was late night Saturday and I didn't really look at the car because they were about to close and I was confident that Even though it was used vehicle I was getting it from a trusted place. So many wrong issues with it ! safty issues! So I called my my sales person Tek and pretty much he told me I was on my own! Because the car was already had been inspected and that was it! I wonder what type of inspiration they do? Alignment was really bad I have to fight it just to get it going straight. Signal lights not working, I wonder how they pass inspection?. All tires are different not only the brand but the size too , one of them was to small just had an incident with it! No spare tire in the vehicle. Windows do not work. And some other little details. I guess just because is a dealership doesn't mean anything, I wish should of had check reviews first! read more

Had appointment to get my car repaired and dropped it off early morning. Assumed they'd look at it same day since I had appointment and the advisor didn't mention they were backed up. After asking about status this afternoon, received a call saying they won't look at car today. And might not be able to look at it tomorrow either. After posting a review I was asked to notify the customer service manager. He was able to get the work done on 2nd day so I could pick it up that evening. I appreciate him getting things worked out to my satisfaction. read more

To Whom may take my concerns seriously, I would give zero stars if I could, as my experience with David McDavid Fort Worth was nothing short of a nightmare. The customer service and the overall service I received were abysmal. I brought in my 2016 Ford Focus for some extensive repairs, including one that had to be done at the dealership. Initially, I planned for only the dealership to handle that particular repair. However, Nikki, the supervisor, assured me they could take care of everything. Due to a family emergency, I couldn't pick up my car right away, but I was assured it would be safe, which I appreciated. When I arrived on 09/09/2023, I immediately noticed that the back bumper on the right side was off, the right back door wouldn't shut, and the tire pressure warning was on. I pointed this out to the person who brought the car out, but he said nothing was documented about the bumper or the door. He suggested checking with the tow company to see if something happened. I was told that only Nikki could address my concerns. When I explained the issues to her, she dismissively stated that the bumper was not their concern and the door couldn't be fixed until Monday. I emphasized that I needed the car to be safe for a cross-country trip, but she argued with me, insisting that the shop only deals with mechanical issues and doesn't check doors. I reiterated that I couldn't drive off with a door that wouldn't close, to which she retorted that I could go to another dealership for the repairs. Her attitude was rude and defensive, making me feel as though it was my fault. Nikki then left without informing me or taking the car for the final repairs. We waited for over an hour for her to return. When she did, she didn't come back to discuss the final repairs with me, but instead sent someone else to hand me my keys. As I hit the road, I hadn't even left Texas when I experienced a blowout. My mother and I were stranded on a highway due to the timing of the blowout. To make matters worse, the bumper came off again, and I was informed that none of my tires were in good condition. This was, without a doubt, the worst service I have ever received. Nikki's treatment of me was completely unacceptable. Her actions put both my mother's and my life in jeopardy due to her failure to ensure my car was properly taken care of. I would never recommend David McDavid to anyone. In hindsight, I should have stuck with the auto shop I was already working with. Thank you for not taking my concerns seriously.
