Last fall, I contracted with Greenlawn to build a…read morepatio, plant new grass, and install ground cover around a tree in a new enclosure they also built. They were able to do almost all of the work in the Fall, and we couldn't have been happier with the results. They noted they'd need to come out in the spring to install the ground cover, as it wouldn't survive being planted in the cold. As spring sprung, Greenlawn did not contact me. I reached out on April 2 and began a ridiculous game of back and forth until they "completed" the work on May 25. At one point, I was told they were "extremely busy" right now. Considering I paid for this work last Fall, this isn't exactly my problem. The completed work was terrible and it was suggested that "[my] expectation of filling in the entire bed was not realistic." It was not my expectation! The whole project was designed by Greenlawn! I've had to finish the work myself so that the beautiful yard isn't ruined by a terrible finish to this project. Doug seems like a great design consultant and clearly knows his stuff. We couldn't be happier with the brick work and our new lawn, but the absurdly bad service and work to complete the project has left an incredibly bad impression. I wish I could recommend working with this company, but I definitely cannot.

He said "I have to drive on the lawn." I said "you know best." He doesn't know best. He didn't warn there would be damage. Another company stated they would NEVER drive on someone's lawn to deliver. Also the dirt was big chunks of clay that was sitting in his truck for weeks and he just wanted to get rid of it. Also did not offer a resolution. That is not a lie. The story is not changing. Sir, we resolved our problem you made. Definitely taking our money elsewhere. They removed the weeds, dug up some dirt to place the bricks, and installed the flowers. All we had to do was purchase and pick up the flowers because we wanted to pick them out. We were able to use their discount tho! My husband and I are very happy with the results!! Every time we come home, the flowers bring a smile to our face. They didn't arrive nor finish on the timeline they provided, and the biggest issue is a mismatch of the materials needed to complete our job, which was never done because we asked them not to finish it since they were not invested in matching the materials. We were going to start a maintenance plan with them as well since this is for a rental property, but will not be doing any additional business with him. I'm in the process of pursuing them for the materials on site and I match at this point as I'm going to have to have it removed and fixed to get it to what we originally requested I attempted to resolve this directly with the owner Jose, but he was not willing. I assume we won't be done with them for a while since we now have to take this to court. In the photos attached we had purchased river rock from Menards and wanted the same - he convinced us that he could get a better deal on a bulk order of the same rock. These are not the same rocks. We pointed that out before he started using them and then he told us it was bec they needed to be wet. Water made no difference.

Unfortunately, communication became extremely difficult after I paid the deposit. I repeatedly called and emailed to confirm when the work would begin, often receiving no response. On two occasions, Javier and the team said they would come on a specific day but did not arrive or provide an update. This was especially frustrating because I was rearranging my work schedule while also dealing with family emergencies. More than a month after the deposit was paid, I was told the work was complete, although only the sod installation and turf cleaning had been performed. During the original consultation, I had also specifically discussed trimming trees and shrubs, adding mulch, removing weeds along the side of the house, and several other services. When I asked about the missing work, I received this response: "Regarding your recent questions, our original quote only included turf maintenance and new sod installation. We added the mulch at no cost as we had extra material available. The trimming and weeding you mentioned were not part of the initial scope of work." That response did not at all line up with the conversation Javier and I had during the consultation. Regardless of what ultimately appeared in their invoicing system, the scope of work was not communicated clearly. The lack of responsiveness and two missed appointments made the experience extremely frustrating and it was in no way worth the high price. Based on the poor communication, delays, missed appointments, and disagreement over the promised work, I would not hire Medina again and cannot recommend the company.
