He suggested that if we didn't put her down that night, then we should take the horse back to the unsanitary barn where she got the infection and let the other Veterinarian come out to the barn to check on the Horse whenever we felt necessary... WTF? He was so concerned about not stepping on the toes of another local Veterinarian that he was willing to give up doing the right thing for my daughter's Horse. Completely unethical, unprofessional, and inhumane When we realized Dr Giacapuzzi wasn't willing to do anything to help our horse, we immediately trailered her to Alimo, a specialized medicine hospital in Los Olivo ca. I've been taking my dogs to Skyline Animal Hospital for the past two years. This morning, I had to bring my 18-year-old dog, Sunny, to be put to sleep. I was very emotional and I was placed in a room shortly after our arrival so we could have privacy. Sunny had late stage kidney disease but for the past year, Skyline provided us with excellent care. They were always available for questions and allowed me to come in on short notice for multiple appointments. They didn't immediately push me to see a special internal medicine doctor, which would have prolonged Sunny's suffering as well as my own stress. The Skyline staff was with me every step of the way. I can't thank Dr. Messri enough for his kindness today. He explained everything clearly and was so gentle to Sunny as she passed. I can tell Dr. Messri, Dr. Cyrus, and the staff work really hard and truly care about their patients. I look forward to receiving care for my other dog, Mona, for many years to come.
