Dr. McKnight takes such good care of our horses! He is reasonably priced and always punctual. I highly recommend him.

Stumbled on to Fillmore Animal Hospital when one of my dogs needed an actual vet. Couldn't have been happier with how I was treated, how my dog was treated and the action plan that was decided on. So happy in fact that I made a well dog visit for my other dog to bring him on board. Small town vet, with big town knowledge. Doc suggested a one/two punch of meds for my one dog to get him thru the crazy Fillmore firework month (IYKYK). Reminded me of the vet practice we used in my youth 50 years ago, which is not common nowadays. So happy with it weve told our neighbors, turns out its not a secret and both of them take their animals there and feel the same way. Reasonable prices without the corporate board feel.

Degen, DVM immediately suggested euthanizing my dog without even knowing what was wrong with her, I brought Canela to Fillmore Animal Hospital -- and everything changed. Dr. Snyder, Mayra, Tina, Terry, and the entire team treated Canela with so much love, patience, and genuine care. They didn't rush to conclusions. They took the time to examine her, gave her the care she needed, and treated both of us with compassion and respect. Even though Canela is still not fully recovered -- she continues to have difficulty breathing -- she's now eating, going to the bathroom, and standing up on her own. It's not a full recovery yet, but there's progress, and most importantly, there's hope. They even cleaned her eyes and her little body, and when I picked her up, she was being gently carried in a pet sling -- calm, comfortable, and clearly loved. That small act meant so much to me and showed how much they truly care. I'm beyond grateful to Dr. Snyder, Mayra, Tina, Terry, and everyone at Fillmore Animal Hospital. Thank you for giving Canela the chance she deserved, and for standing by us during such a difficult time. If you love your pet and want them to be treated with kindness, dignity, and real care -- this is the place to go.

He was a rescue as a puppy and had some sort of issue his entire 14 year life but I was lucky to have the means (and pet insurance) to treat any and all issues. That being said, paws and claws has been through with Renly: intestinal blockage surgeries, cancerous lump removal, epilepsy treatment, liver treatment,Osteoarthritis treatments. And because of them my husky lived 14 happy, pain free, years with amazing quality of life until literally his last day. We've been through several vets in the many years of patronage but Dr.D has been our vet for the last couple years and without a doubt her treatments are why my dog lived to 14 pain free and happy. Yes they are expensive, Woodland Hills, but pets are expensive. I highly recommend pet insurance for all pets as that is the reason I was always able to treat my dog. Last: the staff. Everyone at the front desk and the techs are amazing but I have to specifically point out Xavier, who has gone above and beyond for us more than once, and was the one to help renly pass, as they had their own special bond. and Bailey who has been there for us for many years as well. Now I have brought home a 10 month old east valley rescue who had kennel cough and several other shelter related issues and Dr. D has treated him appropriately and he is recovering quickly. I'll never go anywhere else. Love you guys!

This is not my first review of our beloved Dr G, and I just recommended her to 6 more people again just these past 2 weeks. I always say to people I give her card to: "you will discover she is an Earth Angel - if she moved to a different town, I'd take my pup there... When you find a great vet, they are Gold! She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years here at Paws & Claws; she has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I still drive from Sherman Oaks. Gratefully so :) I am thankful that my cherished pups are her patients. Her ethics, her care, her kindness, her knowledge, her integrity - she's our number 1!!!

I prepared as best I could so that my cat Samuel would have the best care (reading the reviews of other companies, making sure none of the medication's were oral). The only variable I couldn't control was who came to my house and I was concerned due to the heartbreak I was experiencing. I prepared myself and Samuel to the best of my ability and was worried that I could get someone who was potentially having a bad day or someone who doesn't understand the deep love we have for our fur babies. Dr Wendy was calm, compassionate and in tune (most important). It was obvious in many ways that she cared, and that she was empathizing with my situation. This really did give me peace of mind, and make me feel better with one of the hardest things I've had to do.

It's not located right on Main Street, but right before you hit Main Street, depending on what direction you're coming from. The parking lot is small, but I could find parking easily. Appointments are scheduled weeks out; therefore, arrive on time to avoid losing your spot! A family came late with their two dogs, and Smiling Canines tried to squeeze them between other dogs' appointment times, but it was a hassle for both the family and business. After I filled out and signed some paperwork, the staff immediately took my little dog in to have his teeth cleaned. The whole appointment lasted maybe 30 minutes. They also have a small store pet you can look in while you wait for your dog; otherwise, you can stay in your car or sit in a chair outside. The lady who greeted me was kind, professional, and efficient. The prices are around $185 - $250, depending on what type of cleaning your dog needs. Unfortunately, I paid $250 because I had not kept on my dog's teeth, and he had a lot of tartar buildup. So he will need to come back in another six months for another cleaning, and my good boy deserves the best. Thank you, Smiling Canines, for vastly improving my dog's teeth - and breath!

She interrupted me rudely and said, "I'm not the one you spoke to," when all I was trying to do was get copies of my dog's records. I spent almost $1,700 here for my dog's pneumonia treatment, and unfortunately it did not help at all. They kept my dog for 5 hours, and after everything, I still had to bring her to a different hospital so she could get proper care. There was also a problem with my dog's prescription. They prescribed a medication that wasn't even available until Monday. I was honestly willing to let that pass because I understand things happen, but the rude attitude from the receptionist was too much. I understand vet hospitals can get busy, but clients who are worried about their pets deserve compassion, professionalism, and proper communication -- especially after spending that much money. Very disappointed with both the service and the overall experience.
