Dr. McKnight takes such good care of our horses! He is reasonably priced and always punctual. I highly recommend him.

However- when we got home- we had a bill from the county animal services that we needed to register our dog or be fined. This vet office essentially "turned us in". But it was actually inaccurate. Our dog was already registered. It was a total headache, in the end, getting cleared on this, though. A lot of administrative red tape, emails & phone calls. Total confusion. Not worth it. Maybe we should have cleared this up at the office instead of behind our backs? Weird. I won't go back there now.

    - Compassionate care when we needed it most…read more After a terrible experience at Horizon Veterinary Services in Ventura, where Dr. Franziska A. Degen, DVM immediately suggested euthanizing my dog without even knowing what was wrong with her, I brought Canela to Fillmore Animal Hospital -- and everything changed. Dr. Snyder, Mayra, Tina, Terry, and the entire team treated Canela with so much love, patience, and genuine care. They didn't rush to conclusions. They took the time to examine her, gave her the care she needed, and treated both of us with compassion and respect. Even though Canela is still not fully recovered -- she continues to have difficulty breathing -- she's now eating, going to the bathroom, and standing up on her own. It's not a full recovery yet, but there's progress, and most importantly, there's hope. They even cleaned her eyes and her little body, and when I picked her up, she was being gently carried in a pet sling -- calm, comfortable, and clearly loved. That small act meant so much to me and showed how much they truly care. I'm beyond grateful to Dr. Snyder, Mayra, Tina, Terry, and everyone at Fillmore Animal Hospital. Thank you for giving Canela the chance she deserved, and for standing by us during such a difficult time. If you love your pet and want them to be treated with kindness, dignity, and real care -- this is the place to go.

Run! RUN AWAY from this place! They just want your money!!…read more I came in with my dog for flea medication. That's it. At the end of the exam, Dr Dumitrescu was recommending $750 worth of other unnecessary treatments. I couldn't believe it, I was in shock. Dr Dumitrescu recommended allergy shots, vaccines, said my dog was infected all over his body from scratching so recommended antibiotic wipes, antibiotic cream, oral antibiotics, and wanted to do an eye swab and then said his ears were all infected and oozing discharge and needed cleaning and medication... I must have had this look on my face that said, "What the ????" because then she said, "I'll show you." And she flipped over his ear and we took a look. There was no discharge, no oozing, no swelling, no redness, nothing!!! So then she took a qtip and swabbed the inside of the ear. Nothing!!! It was completely normal! So then she says, "It must be the other ear" and swabs the other ear. There was nothing on the qtip. His ears were perfectly fine. So that's when I knew this place was full of shit! Her tone the entire time was filled with doom and was condescending. Total fear mongering. Her tone communicated that if I didn't do all these unnecessary things, I was a terrible person and my dog would be suffering. It was really uncomfortable. Feeling extremely pressured, I decided to get the allergy shot (I know my dog has allergies), the antibiotic wipes and cream, and the flea medication which was the whole reason I came in! All of which cost about $350! I was on the fence about the oral antibiotics but if he didn't really need them, I didn't want him to take them. He's been on many antibiotics in the past from surgery, injury, etc and they are overprescribed so I decided not to get them. But I changed my mind 2 days later and called them back to order them. It was near closing so they told me it would be ready the next day. Well they weren't ready the next day, or the next or the next! I even called them the next day to inquire about them and they said, "Sorry not ready we'll call you when it's ready." It took them FIVE DAYS to fill the prescription for the antibiotic! They were so ready to give it to me the day I was in there, but after I left there was absolutely no urgency. Imagine if my dog was really suffering and needed the meds immediately?!! By day 5, he clearly didn't need them. The one positive thing I can say about this place is the gals at the front desk who answer the phones are really nice. But that's it!! It was truly a terrible experience. I do not want to be treated this way. The doom and gloom and fear mongering just to make a buck is not necessary and makes a very unpleasant experience. The laundry list of completely unnecessary treatments they recommend and try to convince you to do is truly disgusting. Stay away!

My vet recommended my dog get his teeth professionally cleaned, so I brought my good boy here…read more First of all, the location is pretty easy to miss. It's not located right on Main Street, but right before you hit Main Street, depending on what direction you're coming from. The parking lot is small, but I could find parking easily. Appointments are scheduled weeks out; therefore, arrive on time to avoid losing your spot! A family came late with their two dogs, and Smiling Canines tried to squeeze them between other dogs' appointment times, but it was a hassle for both the family and business. After I filled out and signed some paperwork, the staff immediately took my little dog in to have his teeth cleaned. The whole appointment lasted maybe 30 minutes. They also have a small store pet you can look in while you wait for your dog; otherwise, you can stay in your car or sit in a chair outside. The lady who greeted me was kind, professional, and efficient. The prices are around $185 - $250, depending on what type of cleaning your dog needs. Unfortunately, I paid $250 because I had not kept on my dog's teeth, and he had a lot of tartar buildup. So he will need to come back in another six months for another cleaning, and my good boy deserves the best. Thank you, Smiling Canines, for vastly improving my dog's teeth - and breath!

And he was his usual happy self afterwards. Cost was $250 - major inflation! The last time we had his teeth cleaned by them a couple years ago, (went to a couple others in between) it was only $150 I think?. Our pup has terrible plaque issues so we did have him get the anesthesia cleaning, at his vet in 2024 and he needed 9 teeth pulled. :o\ They too (our vet) recommend Smiling Canines! I highly recommend!!

Dr. Goodman was extremely thorough and took the time to clearly explain my dog's diagnosis and treatment plan, while also providing additional care options. After my dog injured his leg, we are only two days into medication and rest, and he is already showing noticeable improvement. The office itself is clean, welcoming, and well maintained. Although I didn't catch her name, the staff member who assisted with estimates and payment plans was wonderful and very helpful throughout the CareCredit application process. I am especially grateful to Dr. Goodman for following up the next day to check on how Coco was doing and to review his X-rays. Thank you to Dr. Goodman and the entire team for such compassionate and excellent care.

I wanna say thank you so much Dr Linney and staff. I highly highly recommend him. My mother is a doctor in Canada so I know a little bit about doctors in this one he is it. My cat was injured by the groomer, Aidan, and when we let the management know about this they accused us of lying and refused to make it right with a refund. They offered to come back and groom him again which we declined, we'd never opt for them to interact with our pet again after they inflicted an injury on him. The lack of professionalism and respect from this business is appalling to say the least and we're so upset that our cat had to suffer, and that they were unwilling to make it right. As a business owner myself I can't imagine ever interacting with customers this way and having no sympathy or sense of responsibility for the pets they work on. During the treatment I went to check on them in the van and saw the groomer sitting on his phone while my cat roamed around in the van trying to escape. Once he saw me he got up and started to work on my cat. When he brought him back, his back was cut up and inflamed, a sign of obvious rough brushing and deshedding which only got worse the second day. My cat is still flinching to the touch on his back. I would not recommend this business and hope they reevaluate the industry they're in and their values when it comes to animal safety.

Ok, so he arrived parked outside Ready to give red the best grooming experience And that he did. It took about 40-45 min Red came out clean and trimmed singing that old school song "I got a new attitude," all the way to the door" Well, technically he just walked up smiling ( I imagined the singing, but you get the point) The groomer ( go ahead and fine me, the name skips me) He did some sort of assessment... Gave a complimentary teeth cleaning in substitute for red not being happy about having his nails removed. Red got a cool scarf Years taken off And a new reason to walk down state street I learned about red skin.. Things to help out.. With some educational tips I recommend people take advantage of good service As far as pricing goes.., Not sure what to think Don't know what other people charge.. So, that's all I have to say.. Will use this service again in the future
