Meanwhile, I missed like a day and a half of work. Not only that, but when you're in the chair, they're constantly trying to up charge you on things tell you you should do this and you should do that. I actually went to another dentist just to get another opinion. I would not recommend this dentist at all or their entire fleet of New England dental group people. They were trying to send me down to Boston to some specialist. I didn't need it. AVOID

More money than average, but latest equipment. They are pretty pushy when it comes to looking for money. I actually had to hold back laughing at this particular dentist (gold miner), it was so obvious. Pros: Office is very clean. Staff is very friendly & helpful, hygienists are very good, but the Dentists... VERY pushy. If you bear that in mind (and don't take their pushy methods too seriously), they're okay. I'm considering switching to another dentist because of their constant hunger for $$$.

About as comfortable as a dentist visit can be!…read more A little background here...up until my appointment with Dr. Nickou I had not been to the dentist in 8 years after a few bad experiences with 2 different dentists. GROSS I know but once you've had a bad experience (let alone two) you NEVER want to go back to another dentist. After some pushing by my wife I made my appointment at Dr. Nickou's office and I'm glad I did. The staff at Charles Nickou's office is great. Making the appointment was easy and there wasn't a long waiting period. I originally made an appointment for one month down the road but got a call one week after making the appointment for an appointment that opened in two days. So I went to the dentist early. When I got in the door everyone was very nice to me. They asked why I hadn't been to the dentist in so long to get some background and then they took me back to the dreaded chair... ...The chair was way more comfortable than I had remembered it because the hygienist made me feel very comfortable. She was very good and very quick. I had my x-rays and my cleaning done in 30 minutes. After the cleaning Dr. Nickou came in to go over my x-rays and it turned out I had one cavity (my first cavity ever). He explained what he wanted to do and was ridiculously nice. He had me make another appointment to come back and get a filling. A few weeks later I was back at the office to get my filling and I'll admit I was pretty nervous to get the filling. The whole procedure was done in 15 min though and was not really uncomfortable at all. They have pictures on the ceiling of beaches and snow capped mountains etc. I thought it was a nice touch. Dr. Nickou also continually checked with me to make sure everything was OK. If you've had a bad experience in the past like me and you're delaying going to a different dentist because you think "you can't trust someone that puts their hands in your mouth" believe me, if you go see Dr. Nickou he'll take good care of you. The office is clean and the staff is great...it really is as comfortable as a dentist appointment can get.

His calm demeanor is wonderful, absolutely, then couple that with his skill, knowledge, and inventive nature makes him a "miracle worker". I had an emergency on a Friday night (as my front tooth decided to leave), and of course, during after hours. I left a message on the Doctor Vitali's emergency number, but told him not to hurry in, as the emergency was mine, without pain or blood, and wanted him home with his family. Sure enough his Office Manager, Leanne, phoned me first thing Monday morning and scheduled me in that afternoon for a consult. After the consult it was decided that a bridge was needed as both front teeth were in turmoil. This was shocking to hear, but I have faith in this man, from past experiences; yes, was a bit frightened, Both teeth were removed on Holy Thursday and the Monday after Easter, I had a bridge with beautiful teeth. PAINLESS and secure. It had been a long time to eat something with such comfort and normalcy. I forgot what that was like and so very thrilled beyond understanding how he made this happen, but it is truthful. I am so happy., Dr. Bondar's staff has to be commended also, just has to be. Leanne works her magic with running the office and accommodating their patients with regular appointments and those with emergence. I feel really comfortable with her at the helm, always wanting to help and please in a sincere kind and caring way. Federica and Shannon are the doctor's Assistants and where does he get these personal, capable staff members is beyond me. Their gracious persona, and for real caring attitude is very comforting. They made me forget what I was there for. I am scheduled for a cleaning with their Hygienist and have not yet met her, but I've seen her usher her patients out with warmth, and genuine feelings of care, so I am sure, she will be added to my happiness with Smile Design. If you read all about Dr. Vitali's accomplishments on his website, not only is he impressive, but he is kind and a really great human being. It is an honor to be a patient of his. Thankful and grateful, Junelizabeth Paine

I don't even know where to begin, but let me tell you--I hadn't pursued dental care since my late teens (I'm now in my mid-50s) due to a crippling dental fear that made me endure pain rather than visit a provider. At my wit's end, I searched for a dental office that could accommodate my phobia. I happened upon Artisan Dentistry and booked my consultation. I was visibly shaking and dizzy (literally!) with fear as I made my way to his practice and chair. (The office is beautifully and calmly decorated, and his staff is wonderfully trained to deal with us "chickens.") Dr. Mathew immediately greeted me warmly and asked me to talk about myself and my history. He has wonderful bedside manner and is quite gregarious--he genuinely enjoys a good chat. We just talked for about half an hour to an hour, and together we decided to take some careful steps forward. I asked about full sedation, and he was completely open to it and any options I wanted to pursue. I could call the shots at any time and switch sedation plans. He gently suggested that I start with a few teeth cleaning sessions using topical anesthetics and Novocain as needed, guaranteeing that I wouldn't feel anything. I went in for my cleanings, and it was exactly as he described--I didn't feel a thing! Here was the turning point: I asked him point-blank, "So I had some Novocain during my cleanings--is that what you would use if we didn't do sedation dentistry?" "Yes," he said, "the same type of pain management for each part of your mouth that I work on." I said, "You know what? Let's try it." That decision changed everything! For all the massive work that was done, I wasn't sedated in any way! Let me tell you, I've had major work done, and his priority was always pain management. Dr. Mathew literally changed my life by showing me "here is what a medical professional can be." Since being under his care, I no longer fear having minor medical procedures done in other doctors' offices. It turns out my epic teeth issues were only symptoms of the real problem: my fear of dentists (and medical professionals), the perceived loss of control, and procedures that were unknown to me. Yes, Dr. Mathew is at the top of his technical dental game--this is obvious (he loves to talk about the many seminars and practicals he still attends and the new things he's learned)--but for me? His ability to help people like me overcome life-long fear-based obstacles. He removed (extracted, lol?) my fundamental fear. I can't say it any clearer than that. He has done nothing short of changing my life. Oh, and as for my new dental work? The best compliment I get is how nice my teeth look and that I must be hawkish about brushing. They look completely natural, which has changed my face and definitely my smile. And as for being hawkish about brushing? Ha--well, I am now! Thank you, Dr. Mathew and Jaime. You have a friend for life. With all my love and gratitude--CK

She went through a year of hell because she picked the wrong dentist to fix her smile. She picked one in the area that promoted and promised a gorgeous smile. She assured Mary Ellen wonderful results. She butchered Mary Ellen, left her with a partial while healing that didn't fit. She wanted to rush through the process, and Mary Ellen could see that something was wrong. She was without a face for a year. Having to wear a mask, have trouble eating, and have to live with the mistakes a general dentist made until she healed as she searched for someone she could trust. By the grace of God, she came across Dr. Sirakian. His website was very informative. Explained everything thoroughly. We were met by his assistant Robin, who was so kind and professional. Mary Ellen sat with Dr. Sirakian, and could feel that she was in the right hands. He could see the significant damage the other dentist did. He said no one leaves my office without a smile. He actually fixed the partial so that she could walk out feeling herself until Dr Sirakian could fix her smile permanently. Dr Sirakian is an artist, he has several years of education above and beyond a general dentist. I accompanied Mary Ellen to her appointments and to her actual surgery. Each time we were both impressed by the whole office. Dr. Sirakian is simply the best with his technique and approach. The whole office is professional and really caring. If you need implants I encourage you to see Dr. Sirakian, you won't be disappointed. Teeth are important and the dentist you go to should know how to treat your smile.
