We contacted Economy to help us tame them and have found Economy's employees to be professional, courteous and reliable. Stephen was at our home recently to access an insect party. He did a thorough inspection and made recommendations for treatment. He made us feel that we were in competent hands. The estimate that he gave us was very reasonable. Greg came shortly afterwards to treat our home and yard for pests. He was prompt, professional and experienced. He was nice too and listened to all of our concerns. I paid my bills faithfully and had their technicians inside my home and crawlspace regularly. I had an ongoing problem with Mice and was led to believe this was related to a neighbor with tall grass and that there was nothing I could do. I had my quarterly treatments and had frequent callbacks because of persistent mice. I even found a decomposed mouse in the corner of my garage. In June, I brought in an independent company for a second opinion. They walked in and immediately found a massive, advanced mouse infestation in my attic with severe structural destruction, shredded insulation, and hazardous waste. The remediation quotes are $25,000-$35,000. It is so dangerous that workers have to wear full hazmat suits and N95 masks to even go up there. Worst of all, I am a 71-year-old recently diagnosed with a severe genetic immune deficiency disorder and rheumatoid arthritis. Bulwark's complete failure to perform the job I paid them for over nine years has left me trapped living beneath an active biohazard of airborne waste that directly threatens my health and puts me at extreme risk for respiratory illness. It has been nearly two months since I notified them. I called the "quality control" Department and spoke to eight different people who promised callbacks but never once did they call. When I initially reported the problem , no one offered to come out and see what was going on and see what could be done. They asked me to send the videos that the new company had taken. When I did not hear back, I called and asked the person who answered to open up the video. She became very quiet (because they are really bad) & told me that she would be sending them over to their legal team who would call me the next day. I never heard back. I have had to email the CEO twice just to get a response. Instead of fixing their mistake, Bulwark completely deflected and passed me off to two competing insurance companies (AmTrust and Skyward Specialty) who are now pointing fingers at each other over who is responsible forwhat year. Bulwark markets itself as a family company that cares, but the moment they cause a major crisis, they run behind insurance adjusters and leave an immunocompromised customer in a hazardous home. Disgraceful service. Not only poor Pest Control service but terrible customer service. This is a family owned business started by a dad and three sons. On their website, they talk about family values and communication. Sadly, I believe it began that way, but it certainly is not that way now. If I had started a company with my children that ended up like this I would be ashamed. Beware before you sign up for service with them. If you have service with them now, be sure to get a second opinion if you've had problems with mice.

I am rather disappointed in the inconsistent service I have received from this Orkin branch, and…read moretheir inability to make me feel confident in the services I am paying for. To preface, I requested service from Orkin because my previous pest control provider didn't handle carpenter bees. After searching around, this branch seemed to be the only company willing to take care of them, and this was supposed to include the second story of my house. While inquiring for this service, I checked the Orkin website and even called customer support. For one, I was assured the second story would be no problem. They also verified that the service would include a dust insecticide followed by sealing the bore holes, which I read was the best method on their site here: https://www.orkin.com/pests/stinging-pests/bees/carpenter-bees. After the initial inspection, I was told that carpenter bee treatment requires a 7 month treatment plan, and for "my benefit", this would include all their other basic pest control as well. I'm not sure how dusting and sealing holes takes 7 months, but I didn't have many options considering no other company would handle the second story. When the first technician arrived, he did not do the dusting, but rather sprayed a liquid insecticide. I asked if they were planning to seal the holes, as that was the reason I agreed to use them for the service, and he told me they do not do this after he called his manager. Frustrated, I told myself, "whatever, so long as they get rid of the bees, I'll deal with it." A week later, the bees were back. I called to schedule a follow up service. I reminded them I needed the second story serviced, and they assured me again this was no problem. The technician arrived but immediately cancelled because he didn't have a ladder. I was told they would reschedule with someone who had a ladder, but this never occurred. Fast forward a month to my next regular scheduled service, and after checking my camera, they again failed to service the second story, and the bees persisted. They also failed to check or ask about the mouse traps that the first technician set when he was here for the initial service, and when I called to ask about this, they told me to do it myself if I didn't want to wait until my next service. Needles to say, I have no faith that my home is being properly treated, and it is especially frustrating because I'm paying extra for the bee service. I have left messages with their office and have not heard anything in months from them. I hope they can do something to make this right, and correct the information they are giving people.

Within minutes, it was like the opening scene of a nature documentary--mosquitoes dropping like drama queens at a soap opera finale. I went outside the next evening expecting the usual swarm, but it was eerily quiet. Too quiet. Like the mosquitoes held a tiny funeral and decided to haunt someone else's backyard.

They offered a free attic inspection -- and I later learned they also do free crawl space inspections. The technician, Chris, came out, went up into the attic, and came back down with several photos. When I asked him to email the pictures to me, he said he would. I've made that same request twice to the office since then, and I still don't have the photos. During the visit, he pointed to marks in the pictures and said they were "signs of pests." He also pointed out a tiny hole in the insulation, claiming it was pest-related -- though honestly, it was so small that only a bug could fit through. His recommendation was to remove all of the attic insulation, treat for pests, reinstall new insulation, and cover the outside vents -- for a total of just over $4,000. I haven't seen or heard any evidence of pests in my attic -- no scratching, no droppings, nothing. Yet I can't reach Chris, and the office still hasn't sent me his report or photos. So I'm left wondering: was Orkin being honest about an infestation, or did the technician just make a big claim and move on?
