Another contractor we had worked with in the past, who was very thorough, referred us to David Jones after having read a few of his inspection reports. David takes his time, points out details, and explains everything. He's honest, early to appointments, very easy to work with and his reports come back within 24 hours. He'll also point out whenever an engineer or other professional is better suited to determine a potential issue. One example of David's thoroughness was that he found an issue with the electrical when he turned on two of the broil features in the oven. I hadn't seen an inspector to do that before. He strikes a fine balance of doing his job, while still respecting the builder. David takes many pictures and maintains that once you work with him, he's available to answer any questions. I chose David based on the great Yelp reviews, and was very pleased with the experience. When buying a home, you don't need more things to be concerned about, and David was able to fit me in within a week easily, and was very prompt in getting the inspection report and radon findings to me afterwards. David arrived in the morning and spent several hours going through my house in pain-staking detail. I followed him around as he worked, and he made sure to explain most everything he found with me as he uncovered it. He told me up front that he would take a lot of pictures, and might not talk to me about everything during the inspection itself. However, he took the time to talk to me about anything substantial during the inspection itself, making sure that I understood it - and didn't leave it to the report itself. Any of his substantial concerns he made clear to talk me through again at the end of the inspection, the issue, potential solutions, and how he recommended moving forward. He emailed me the inspection report with pictures and issues within 12 hours of the inspection, which was fantastic service all around. The radon kits were hung and recovered two days later, and then got results back for that within a few days as well. He made clear on leaving that I could reach out with questions, concerns, for remodeling advice, etc. at any time - via text, cell, or email. David made this an exceptionally painless experience, and I feel much better about my house purchase as a result. Would highly recommend! As a disclaimer, he also has a Yelp deal on his page for $50 off his services - you pay $100 for a $150 credit, essentially. Given this is open to anyone, this certainly didn't impact my review, but does encourage me to recommend them a bit more highly as a result. read more

This home inspection service provided a detailed description of areas that were found to have issues/problems along with color photos of them.
