Wow. Beautiful photography. Loved this stop so much. Worth a stop whether you purchase or not. I went in looking for a metal print for around $100-120 thinking I wouldn't find it in a gallery. Found it and ended up with two because I couldn't decide and loved them both. Can't wait to hang them up!! David was at the counter and super welcoming and kind. He was happy to talk about any of the art and assist where he could. Choices of smaller items with his art as well...magnets, puzzles, calendars, book, etc. You can also have items shipped. read more

Best landscape photo gallery in So Utah. His capture of light is amazing! Stunning photos of Zion.

July 12th we visited David's gallery and purchased the most beautiful photograph taken in Denali National Park. When looking at this photograph, you feel as though you could step right into it. It's stunning on our living room wall. So pleased with our purchase. He shipped it to us and it is one of the best packing jobs we've seen to protect the Art piece from damage. David was very helpful, professional and friendly. We highly recommend visiting his gallery if you're in the area. David West takes beautiful photos. read more

David J West Gallery - Zion NP David West picture we got last week. Love it. - Art Galleries Near Me - Springdale, Utah

What an absolute delight to visit David's gallery. His photographs are tru works of art. He has an eye for composition and detail that is amongst the best I have ever seen. He also carries pottery by a local artist. The pottery is top notch and extremely reasonable and the selection is varied enough to delight many tastes. Plus this is pottery meant to be used as well as looking beautiful. I highly recommend stopping by. Finally, David is the friendliest, most personable person you'll meet. It was a great pleasure meeting him and I'll stop there again on my next trip to Zion National Park read more

I enjoyed David's gallery. The photos are wonderful - large (as wide as your couch!), well-lit, well-colored, and well-composed. If you love nature, you'll certainly see a few images that strike you. They predominantly feature the southwest and all its bold colors. I had never seen flambeaux pottery before, either, and I bought a ridiculous amount of it. If you need a unique gift, stop in. It's so gorgeous - pottery with pearlescent crystalline patterns baked into it. It has a very organic look to it. David shipped 4 pieces of it across the country for me with no problem. I also took a photography workshop with him in Zion National Park. We worked together for several hours, starting at dawn, and I got some great shots. It's definitely a time saver to have a guide who knows the best locations and the best light! I learned some great long-exposure techniques for silky river shots and overall found him to be a patient and capable teacher. read more

David J West Gallery - Flambeaux pottery for sale in the gallery. - Art Galleries Near Me - Springdale, Utah

Went here last weekend while visiting Zion National Park. Loved the gallery and meeting David. He was so incredibly nice and welcoming. My boyfriend and I enjoyed talking to him. I picked up a poster and just had it framed. It turned out great! Can't wait to return and get some more art. There's a beautiful night shot that I saw at the gallery that's not available in his online store that I keep thinking about. My only regret is that David had offered to sign the poster I bought but we distracted him talking and he forgot. We unfortunately didn't notice until we got it home and took it out of the tube. read more

Wow- his photographs are stunning. I fell in love with several pieces and would have bought them if I could afford them. My friend was smart and got a great print for only $35. His photos are not only of Zion but of other amazing places. I loved that he was actually in the gallery so he talked to us about his work and what we liked. He was really friendly. He also has courage to follow his dreams- he moved out to Springdale after falling in love with the park. I think he is going to be really successful. I would highly recommend checking out his gallery. You'll be impressed. read more

It was a blustery day when I walked into this gallery. I was greeted by a friendly, down-to-earth person, who offered me a cup of tea. I said, yes, afterall, hot tea would soothe my throat. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered he was the photographer. This gallery displays David West's beautiful landscape photography and unusual, memerizing ceramic pieces from an artist in Pennsylvania. David West's prints have vivid colors and gorgeous natural scenery taken during different seasons. Reminds me of Peter Lik's style. David has captured many of Utah's natural wonders, several from Zion National Park. I bought two prints, one features a scene from Zion, and the other is in Alaska. For those with deeper pockets, the framed photographs are beautiful. The framing is top-notched, variety of sizes and both horizontal and vertical images are available. I highly recommend dropping by. read more

Wow! Just amazing! A must-see gallery! David has an amazing eye for composition, color, detail and lighting. Truly a gifted photographer (and very sweet and personable too)! His prices are very reasonable for the quality of work and he has quite a wide range of prices to fit all budgets. We bought beautiful print for $45 but he had the same print on various larger scales with various frames at different prices. Stunning work! A great way to bring home a unique memory of your visit to Zion! He is local and owns the gallery. Support local art! Visit David! read more

David is an amazing photographer, and his work is absolutely stunning! My husband and I collect art, and when we go on trips we always stop in galleries, in hopes of finding a beautiful piece of work to remember our trips together. We wish we could've bought everything in David's gallery, it was so hard to choose because everything was so beautiful! We decided on, Autumn in the Narrows, which is such a beautiful piece, and it just spoke to my soul. The David J. West gallery is an absolute gem! If you love art, and are looking to find amazing work, this is a definite place you need to stop! read more

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't feel right about belittling someone's art work. I just feel I seen these pictures before, in better format at Peter Lik & Fatalli galleries. There were ceramic potteries around the gallery as well that were interesting. Was worth stopping in I guess. read more

Beautiful photographs and other artwork. David was super personable and signed a couple cards we bought. Definitely worth a visit. 8 cards for $20. My favorite souvenir, local work from local artist. Some will be framed, others given as gifts to spread the beauty and support local artists and small business owners. Don't buy souvenirs made in China. read more

Stopped into this gallery on a walk back to our hotel from dinner. David's work is stunning. On our second visit in we got to meet the photographer himself. Nicest and most humble young man. We bought 3 of his poster prints that he kindly signed for us. We will enjoy these for many years to come. If we had the fund for the larger real prints I would purchase them for certain as his work is beyond my words. The pottery he also displays by another artist is beautiful as well. My mother bought a vase that she was so excited about. I plan to visit again our next time through and see what new prints he has in store. I also intend to check out his website as there were a couple of posters from newer photos that I wanted to get. My house has added beauty because of the eye of David West. read more

I was entranced seeing David's work during my first trip thru Zion. During this summer's second stop I left with BOTH one of his pieces and a Bill Campbell vase. I really enjoyed talking with David. He was very gracious and shared a bit about his process. I really enjoyed the story behind the photos. I highly recommend stopping in to check out the gallery when you're in town. read more

Beautiful photography and very nice ceramics. David greeted us at the door, offering water and use of the restroom (unusual for a gallery, but very welcome). His photography is superb. Mostly Utah pictures on display, especially Zion, as you might expect, but other great scenery as well. His high-end reproductions are gorgeous (he told us about his favorite lab in St George). Some reviewers have compared his work a little unfavorably to a very famous photographer with showrooms in Las Vegas and Miami Beach. Indeed, we saw that photographer's work in Vegas the next day. In my view, David's work is more pleasing to the eye. His photographs are less saturated (the colors are more natural, at least to me), and his ability to capture just the right light from just the right vantage point is masterful. We bought a print and a ceramic bowl. He shipped them later that day. read more
