When we got to Zion National Park, we first checked out the village of shops outside the entrance. Tribal Arts Zion is full of all kinds of colorful art, jewelry, blankets, pottery, and most are tagged with the artist who created the object. Unfortunately, the one female staffer did not have a very friendly customer service attitude. She was very curt answering any questions and not forthcoming with any further information. She did not seem to want to assist us although she did ask us to let her know if we needed anything. I personally did not feel welcome in the store and we left without buying anything. Prices did seem reasonable and there are some very fine pieces available.

A serpentine inlaid cuff bracelet, a pair of Kewa earrings, an inlaid ring, and a pair of black (jet?) earrings inlaid with an abstractly geometric silver pattern. I thought the prices were a little high, but by the end of our trip I realized that they were reasonable and among the best we found anywhere on our trip. Garry Gentry is an accomplished musician and has an impressive knowledge of pianos. From him I learned about the hand crafted Mason & Hamlin pianos that are made in the USA. I had the pleasure of playing a Mason & Hamlin grand piano at Gentry Music and Arts. The action is effortless, the bass and treble are well balanced and the sound resonates so beautifully. So, I placed an order for a 5' 8.5" Mason & Hamlin grand piano. Throughout the production of my piano, Garry kept me informed on its progress. He would send me pictures of the piano at various stages and ultimately when it was packaged and shipped. My mouth dropped when I played it for the first time. The absolutely gorgeous sound that comes out of this 5' 8.5" piano is impressive. I have owned a 7' 4" Bosendorfer, which is a beautiful piano, but I prefer my Mason & Hamlin. My Mason & Hamlin is effortless to play...the touch is like butter. The sound is incredibly beautiful and rich, each note is clear, and the bass and treble are beautifully balanced. The sound resonates as long as you want it to. I am so thankful to Garry Gentry for introducing me to Mason & Hamlin and my ultimate purchase.
