The office is beautiful. They have a place for kids to play etc. the staff Is beyond the usual staffs you'd see at any dentist. They're all nice & smiling always. I'd recommend this dentist office. My son is 4 yrs old & went here, he's still scared frm the previous dentist he went to (they were horrible)! So he refused to let the dr clean his teeth but he did let them brush his teeth & show him how to brush & floss etc. my son still loved it. read more

Dr. Lum is a very nice dentist thats what i liked about going to him and his staff are friendly. The only con was the long waits for my appointments, i would wait for half an hour or longer sometimes. I would be surprised if they took me as soon as i came in or 10 minutes after i arrived. I no longer go to him so maybe the wait times changed. read more

I always have the best experience when I come here. We moved to another area but keep Dr. Lum as our dentist because hands down the best dentist on the island. I love the hygienists, and the reception assistants as well because they are so friendly and get you out in no time, but the quality of service does not falter. I love how every time i come in there is hardly a wait. I also enjoy the painless x rays they take, no more scratched gums. Doctor William Lum, has been my dentist over 15-years. His staff are professional and exceptionally warm & welcoming, the Aloha spirit resides under this roof folks. I recommend all my friends looking for a dentist here. Another exceptional quality here is the facilities. Dr. Lum and his staff work in a very functional, spacious, and comfortable suite, you can't help but feel at home and relaxed here. There have been a number of occasions where I felt like I could just hang-out here and talk story with everyone all day long...Very ohana oriented atmosphere. I had 3 strikes with these dentists. First was when they did cleaning and didn't notice a chipped tooth stuck on my son's gum line- irritating it, Second I was so unhappy with front tooth mismatch filling color, extremely obvious contrast and finally- they cancelled my appointments, without telling me, so I take off work to bring kids to dentist and there is no appointment!!! And that happened more than once I asked for manager to call me to sort it out.... 3 months later... still waiting for that call.... read more

Just know if you happen to fall sick the day of your appointment you will be charged $50. I can't imagine keeping my mouth open with my throat as sore as it is, but it doesn't matter they will still charge you. I considered still going to my appointment even though I was sick to avoid the fee. I will not be returning. read more

Stay away! "Dr" Lum has no ethics. I scheduled an appointment last October for a cleaning, and his receptionist claimed Hawaii state law requires you to have a check-up before you can have a cleaning -- whatever, okay. I scheduled an appointment for the day following but unfortunately when the time came I was unable to make the appointment. Several weeks later I received a $76 no-show fee, and Dr. Lum and his office has hired a collection agency called "Guardian Management" to continuously harass me for the last five months. The thing is guys, I have NEVER stepped foot in to his office, NEVER signed any documents acknowledging I am subject to such a fee, or was NEVER disclosed to on the phone when I made the appointment I would be subject to this fee had I failed to show. I have relied on Military dentists for my entire life, and this is the first civilian dentist I have tried to do business with. Bottom line, this individual is running very poor business practices. If he ever paid attention in medical school he would have paid attention to: American Physician Association Opinion 8.01 A physician may charge a patient for a missed appointment or for one cancelled 24 hours in advance if the patient is fully advised that the physician will make such a charge. Dr. Lumps office is great. I had kristy as my dental hygienist today for a teeth cleaning and she was awesome. She was very gentle. All the dental assistants I have had have been extrememly nice and friendly. Dr . Lum pays great attention to detail, he's very gentle and always let's me know what's going to happen next. They accept tri care which is awesome. There's on thing though, they always have music on that makes me want to dance but I can't, so I just have to have a dance party in my head. read more

This is my new dentist office!! I was referred by Holliday Orthodontics and I am so glad I was referred here! The whole staff is amazing! Very nice and courteous. My dental assistant, Lori, was so thorough and she knew what she was doing! She was such a joy! Dr. Lum came in and was very quick! It was a painless process and I look forward to my next visit! I was extremely impressed by Dr. Lum and his staff! They are top-notch professionals, and the evaluation and subsequent cleaning were performed very thoroughly. My appointment was for a consultation for an implant. As many know an implant ain't cheap. You could not accommodate me to cancel/reschedule my appointment due to my infant being sick. Went in to put in a crown today, I have dual dental insurances yet had to pay over $580 including taxes. After the treatment when I asked for detail of coverage, the front staff informed me that they only do porcelain crowns, not gold or other materials. They failed to inform me that a porcelain crown is considered cosmetic and is not covered by either of my dual insurances. Hello? Thanks for not telling me before the treatment....l felt like I got ripped off..left the dental office with bad taste in my mouth...You guys just lost me, my wife, and my two kids as patients. We will not be returning here. Had I gotten a gold crown, I would only have had to pay around $150, I checked with my former dentist, soon to be our dentist again! read more

Customer serivce was great over the phone while needed to schedule a apointment being that I was a New patient they were also willing to see me that day, needed to check on a bad tooth.opon arriving a couple days later which was not a problem for them the staff was really nice in lobby area also the dental assistant and actual dentist who gave me a refferal to get my tooth worked on they madr me feel totally comfortable, although there was one other new girl I did not meet wen first coming in, upon leaving that was kinna pushy n jus wanted me out the door while giving her my payment but the rest of the staff was awsome I would definitely recommend them to family amd friends read more

I just had my first visit and have never been more pleased with the entire process from making my appointment, having the procedure done to making my next appointment. I called to make an appointment on Tuesday and was told that there was an opening the following day. When I checked into the office it was amazingly clean and organized. The receptionist was very pleasant and friendly. The hygienists were very friendly and thoroughly explained everything prior to doing anything. During each procedure they repeatedly ask me if I was having any discomfort. Prior to Dr. Lum beginning he went over everything they had found during the initial exam. He then created a short and long term dental treatment plan. The procedure went very smoothly and was as pleasant as any dental procedure could be. After completing the visit the receptionist explained the bill and was very helpful scheduling my next appointment. My entire experience up to this time has been amazingly good. I am now having my son and wife change to Dr. Lum as our families primary care dentist. read more

I had my crown done at this office a couple days ago. While I had to wait 3 weeks to see another dentist, they got me in in just a couple of days. I was totally surprised that they was able to get my crown done within just a couple of hours! It saved me so much time waiting and running between the appointments.
