I have to give it a 1 star because of how unprofessional the counter lady was. We were so excited to be there and get a bunch of interesting chocolates... Until we are ready to pay & the fat blonde lady behind the register asked my brother if he liked football and he said yes. After that, she insulted my brother and the team he's a fan of. What the heck?!? We are there to buy chocolate, not to get uncomfortable and insulted by this employee... So disappointed... We ended up spending over $100 in chocolate... Never again! This place makes some seriously delicious chocolate! The retail shop is hidden amongst warehouses but just follow the child-like signs declaring "homemade chocolate." They have the standard chocolate shop selection but I opted for some different items including chocolate covered blueberries and purple grapes (healthy and sinful at the same time) and dark chocolate covered potato chips! While driving we saw some catchy signs describing differnt types of chocolate covered treats "up ahead" Naturally the signs needed to be heeded, so we did. When we arrived at David Bradley we saw others headed the same way and they were raving about how good the chocolate was. Once we stepped in we were greeted by friendly staff and there were samples everywhere and some were even brought to us as we looked around. There was no sale pressure and the variety is vast. Ok so on to the goods. Chocolate covered pineapples are sooo good (and im not into chocolate covered fruits) Chocolate covered Ore-ohs(oreos) were ridiculous! I bought for my fam but ended up not sharing much) Chocolate covered potato chips(yup) Very good! bought these cause i was curious. Very glad I did! They sell bags of "imperfects" at a discounted price...this is a good way to buy a snack or try something out. They also have some cool packaging for gift giving. Today was my first visit to the David Bradley Chocolatier. I've always seen signs for it when in the area and was curious about it, so we decided to finally make the stop today. Getting in there was a bit confusing. It's in a very desolate area and you have to literally follow the signs through a bunch of industry and factories to get back to the shop, but inside the shop is very cute and has a lot of chocolate to choose from. I thought the chocolate was a little bit pricey. I understand that the chocolate is homemade, but $12.50 for the bag we got was a little much. Nonetheless, we purchased a horse shaped milk chocolate lollipop as well as a bag of the maple clusters and they were wonderful. Then someone gave me a package of their milk chocolate covered graham crackers as a gift...OMG they are amazing! I went to their website and saw they offer many traditional and many unique products (chocolate covered potato chips). I called two or three days ago because I wasn't sure if Windsor and Robbinsville were the same place. Over the phone, the woman told me we could watch the chocolate being made until 4 every day. We arrived at two PM and asked if we could purchase water because my 5-year-old was very thirsty after our 45-minute drive. The woman, who had a callous demeanor, was courteous enough to get him tap water. However, with each interaction with age demonstrated a lack of interest in our visit. When I asked about the viewing window, she quite flatly and unsympathetically said they were on summer hours. I told her I expected them to be open until four. "Oh." She walked in the back. I intended to drop a lot of money on this outing where my son was going to see chocolate made. We are on a family visit and I have many cousins to thank for my stay. Too bad for the owner. I see why they have so many signs for "help wanted," but next year we'll just drive to the shore and watch Fudge being made by people who seem to like people. read more

After seeing the "Homemade chocolate!" and "Chocolate covered bacon!" signs on Route 130 for several years, my husband and I finally decided to stop in today to see what all the fuss was about. Man, am I glad that we set a spending limit before stepping inside, because we probably could've tried one of everything. The staff is very friendly and helpful in a non-pressuring way. They offered a variety of samples, including: chocolate covered bacon, chocolate covered fruits (pineapple, orange, apple, and grapes), chocolate and caramel popcorn, truffles, and various types of fudge. Since it's a week before Mothers Day (Mother's Day? Mothers' Day? -- I'm never sure how to punctuate that), they had a huge selection of beautifully packaged chocolates at tons of different price points (from $10 & up, I believe). They also have plenty of gifts for other occasions (birthdays, christenings, graduations, etc.) and everything looked gorgeous. In the back, near the registers, they have what they call their 'seconds' chocolates. These are the ones that are not so pretty or out of season, so they're marked down. We ended up buying mostly from this section, since we were just looking to try stuff. In the end, we bought watermelon fudge (which my husband went nuts over), malt balls (average), chocolate potato chip bark (um, YUM!), and dark chocolate peanut butter smoothies (delicious!). Overall, we were very pleased with our purchases and we intend to return later this week for Mothers' Day (I picked a different punctuation this time) gifts. P.S. -- A note about getting there: Follow the signs. They really do lead you right to the shop, even though at some points, you'll feel like there's no way you're in the right place. This place is great. I really don't know how you can say anything bad about it. The end. (just kidding) I have gotten chocolates here for multiple occasions and events and everyone loves them. They are a local business that has been around for ages with honest, kind management. The selection is awesome and they are willing to bend over backwards to help. Yes, the chocolate is not the same price as something you will find at Target or CVS, but this is an authentic, boutique-style chocolatier. The lady will point you the right direction. We were served chocolate covered fruits, like pineapple, grape, Apple, and strawberry. Those were yummy, and juicy. They gave us sampling of "zany" pretzel and raspberry filled chocolate, too sweet. I was impressed with the salted chocolate. In a corner were"seconds". Absolutely horrible experience! My daughter and I got some chocolate only to find out that "everything may be contaminated with bacon"! So I called and was told to come in and return the items. This little gem is hidden in the rear left of an industrial park. However, that shouldn't prevent you from visiting. You may feel upon your arrival at the park that you've been misled and the signs are wrong. They're not. There are many different chocolates offered at David Bradley, and lots of samples as well. Among the not-so-standard offerings are chocolate covered fruit (grapes, pineapple, blueberries, among others), chocolate covered potato chips and chocolate covered bacon. The seconds rack in the back left of the shop near the registers has great deals on imperfect chocolates; about half price for broken chocolate covered pretzels or chocolate covered graham crackers, for example. The employees are friendly and helpful and almost always are offering samples of the latest batch of candies. No, they don't offer tours of the factory (due to health code), but there is a window you can peek through to watch them make the candy. I live in Texas and can't wait to get back there! read more

It's a small shop...in a somewhat strange location...but well worth the trip! I was sort of in the area and heard their commercial on the radio, so decided to make a slight detour and visit the Windsor location. Lots and lots of Easter treats and very pleasant staff offering multiple tastings. I wasn't there long, but managed to try chocolate covered grapes (who knew?) and chocolate covered pineapple. My boyfriend and I were just driving, one of those adventures you have when you don't really mean to. We saw the signs along the highway and thought we'd stop in. At first it was a little weird going into a commercial space that eerily reminded us of a zombie film and yet, we continued to follow the signs. I really wanted to like the candy here. I really prefer to support local businesses. Sampled some of the chocolates during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. Purchased milk chocolate almond bark and dark chocolate covered vanilla creams. Also sampled their chocolate covered bacon, dark chocolate covered pretzels and mild chocolate covered Oreos. Some were better then others. Overall it was a little waxy and somewhat inexpensive tasting. For the $25/lb price range, I was not impressed. Would recommend Birnn or Thomas Sweet. read more

Found this place accidentally. I went out the other day on a " Easter Bunny" hunt. I decided I wanted something other than the bland easter bunnies I can get at a supermarket. I entered " candy stores" into my navigation, which led me here. At first I doubted the accuracy of my GPS, as I was led deeper into an industrial park, but there was a light at the end of the tunnel. The last building on the left had a sign" Chocolate Factory". As I got out of my car, I was still wondering if this was a public store, but as I opened the door, I was delightfully greeted by the sweet smells of chocolate. The store front was cute and lined with shelves and shelves of goodies. There was a friendly man that approached me with a tray of samples. Of course I had to try some....and they were wonderful. I used all my will power not to grab the tray right from him and eat it all right there. The most entertaining was the window from the store to the factory where I stood mesmerized by the conveyor belt of pretezels being drenched in chocolaty goodness. Further back I watched a worker fill a 3 foot tall Easter bunny mold. I expected to see some Oompa Loompa's dancing around at any moment. So I had started my journey to hunt down 2 chocolate bunnies.....needless to say, I think I might have bought the whole store. I was also pleasantly surprise that the amount of chocolate I bought was also reasonably priced. Now I am sitting here just waiting for Easter so I can dive into those chocolates. read more

For a while I had been seeing the commercials for David Bradley Chocolates and generally ignored them. Then, one day, while in the supermarket, I saw a display of the dark chocolate covered grahams and, like Pavlov's dogs, my mouth started watering. I bought the box and when I got home (no I did not open them in the car) tried one....and then another and another and another. OMG!! They were delish!! I was hooked! I had always liked chocolate covered grahams when I was a kid, but these were even better than I remembered. Now my biggest problem is that David Bradley chocolatier is only 4 miles from where I live.....and going into their "factory store" is an assault on the senses....the smells are wonderful, the displays are a joy and the staff is friendly.
