I wanted it done anyway and after further examination he decided it would help. For the surgery I had local anesthesia in the palm of my hand. The injections hurt a bit but after that I felt nothing. Dr Thull was wonderful, keeping a light hearted atmosphere in the OR during what was for me a scary time. He constantly asked if I felt any pain (I didn't) and when he asked me to move my finger, I was thrilled to see I had good movement even during surgery. Ten days after surgery the stitches were removed, the swelling has gone down and I'm delighted with the results. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr Thull as a careful, caring and highly skilled hand surgeon.
