In my search for an experienced rheumatologist without word of mouth recommendations, I blindly…read morescheduled appointments with almost a half dozen fellowship-trained rheumatologists before I would discover Dr Lambert. I specifically was seeking out one with experience with athletes and sports injuries, and was fortunate to have found Dr Lambert, as she had previously spent many years with the Stanford Sports Medicine clinic before moving over to SOAR. As Dr Lambert has a closed practice, I had to go through some hoops to obtain a referral for a consultation. I also endured almost a month's wait as this was during the holiday season. Despite these minor annoyances, Dr Lambert was nothing short of outstanding. After a comprehensive and inspiring one hour consultation, I cannot praise more highly the care provided by Dr Lambert. Her diagnostic skills are unrivaled, and this was matched by her professionalism, patient listening skills (asking appropriate questions afterwards, without interrupting the patient's train of thought), copious note-taking abilities (she filled my medical record page both front and back with the smallest of details), and empathy. I especially appreciated her hand-written notes updating me on new lab results, as well as personally calling me three times (we ran into an unfortunate game of phone tag) before reaching me, then spending ten minutes going over follow-up questions I neglected to ask during my last office visit. I look forward to my continued care under her infinite experience and wisdom!

She let me know Dr Lambert was not accepting new patients (after she made me go into detail about my call) and I could talk to someone else about it. When she transferred me, I got another voicemail. I did not leave a message. No reason to be rude. After that experience, I'm glad to be looking elsewhere. There are plenty of great doctors in the Bay Area with respectful staff

Personally, I agree with Natalie in her 1-star review for the same reasons and then some…read more Initially, when I first saw Dr. Yang, I was impressed. She seemed nice enough and prescribed a liquid med that worked incredibly fast before a scheduled endoscopy. Then, years later, I was struck by how narrow and judgmental she really is. Once that woman forms a mindset - and she assumes an awful lot with very little information - there's no turning back. Dr. Yang is quick to assume, quick to judge, quick to label and brand patients instead of asking relevant questions, thinks she knows exactly what people are thinking and feeling - often when she's way off and entirely out of line. Frankly, I think she's arrogant and rude. Also, as Natalie seemed to say, she runs her test and then . . . . good luck. You're on your own. She may also have the unmitigated audacity - with virtually no conversation - to tell someone straight out they have some sort of emotional issue that caused the problem, EVEN if there's a long history of "gastro" problems on both sides of a patient's family, regardless of personality and lifestyle. You may sit there calmly, in shock, wondering "Where did that come from?" No, she doesn't explain herself. I regret that I didn't ask her to give examples - to explain herself! In short - I think this physician is arrogant, narrow-minded, judgmental, and rude . . . . not to mention a know-it-all who can do no wrong. I guess she's fine if all you need is a routine endoscopy and you aren't experiencing any problems. Thank you for nothing, Dr. Yang, and "no thank you" for your unfounded assumptions/insults. She's one of the last physicians I'd ever want to see - especially NOT for something sensitive or embarrassing.

Dr Vicky Yang sent me a letter to ask me to get some routine exam. I thought it's the time for…read moreColonoscopy. So I called her office. The front desk told me Dr Yang's assistant Julie would call me to make an appointment with me. Julie called and told me the exam was not for colonoscopy. It's for gastroscope(EGD). She explained to me what's EGD. I was surprised since I got no issues with my stomach. She convinced me that I did need a EGD. So I scheduled an appointment with her. That's it. Later Dr Yang billed me for making an appointment with her assistant as an office visit to herself face to face for $312.89. I was shocked! If because of COVID, this phone call with Julie = an office visit to Dr Yang, how come Dr Yang's office didn't tell me in advance?

Dr Yan is exceptional. She is everything one could want from a Primary Care Doctor. Both my…read morehusband and I go to her. Every time we visit her she listens carefully, asks great questions, deals with our issue by thinking broadly about what might be the source, and explains her thinking about how to proceed and what steps we might need to take depending on the outcomes of the first approach. You leave with a clear game plan and timeline. We also appreciate that she takes the time to understand what our specialist doctors have found and prescribed, so we are not left to do the integration of our care on our own. She is caring and professional and patient, which is wonderful since my husband has dementia. Her support team is also great. We've been PAMF patients for decades. We find PAMF doctors and care are almost uniformly great and Dr Yan is a premier example of that.

Dr. Yan is an amazing doctor - genuinely caring, patient, and attentive. I usually take my parents to their appointments with Dr. Yan, and so I personally see her excellence in action. She is very thorough in checking on their symptoms, and always patiently explains the different treatment options including pros and cons of each choice. Many times she has caught symptoms that my parents and I have overlooked or dismissed. I can't say enough how appreciative I and my parents are to have Dr. Yan as their primary care doctor. Like many elderly people, my parents feel very vulnerable when it comes to their healthcare. It is such a relief to know that their care is in her excellent hands. Thank you, thank you, and thank you to Dr. Yan and the team!

I have never been more disgusted with a doctor in my entire LIFE!!!!!…read more My mother in law has been a patient there for nearly 10 years. She has early onset dementia, she has zero short term memory and she is confused constantly- (she put funions in the cat food bowl) she refuse to diagnose her. That isn't what this review is about. She has been on thyroid medication for her entire life and the office called in a prescription and cancelled it (maybe she needs an appt?) but we have called multiple times with ZERO response, no call to schedule after they canceled- for TWO weeks !!!!!!!! What kind of Dr cancels a medication for THYROID and doesn't care to remedy it!!?????? Her daughter has been on the same medication her life as well thank GOD so she has not had to go without- but I am literally shaking as I write this because this lady (MIL) is an angel on earth. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! We have subsequently schedule an appointment with a new doctor because this office obviously does not care for their patients or the outcome of their well-being to any degree whatsoever... Not even to return a phone call!!!! I have truly and sincerely never been more disgusted with a medical practice in my entire life and we will absolutely be filing a complaint with the board!!!!!!!! I have absolutely no idea how she has any positive reviews whatsoever, but please make sure to check all of the other ones star reviews because they're pretty consistent that they do not care about their patients whatsoever. Avoid this place like the plague!!!!!

Literally the worst doctor I've ever encountered in my life. She was rude, cold, not compassionate…read moreand condescending. 2 years ago we went here. My poor 80 year old mother who's suffering from dementia onset was ridiculed when I took her to this doctor. And the reason we came here is because she was dizzy from not taking her thyroid medication because she ran out and the doctor was asking her a million questions about what date it is who is the president etc. etc. very rudely when my mother obviously was not feeling well. Not to mention, now a month ago she literally cut off her thyroid medication without warning - did not call me or my mom to let us know that we needed to go to the lab in order to get a new prescription and she was left without thyroid medication. They did not answer my calls. I called three times in one week trying to contact them to figure out why they denied a refill without any warning and not even a grace period of a pills until we could get to the lab. I do not recommend this doctor or this office at all. Not to mention they don't have email they use fax machines still. And if they don't answer their phone. how else are you supposed to contact them? Terrible.
