I recently moved to the Bay Area from Georgia and was nervous about finding a new Rheumy…read more Most Rheumatologists are so impersonal - One office visit, 15 min of medical history and then they just hand you an Rx's for some very strong biologics - "running another cog" through the big pharma factory. Dr. Lambert gave me brochures, DVDs, and literature from the medical trials. She then instructed me to go home, review the information, relative risks - write down any questions I had about my treatment, and then scheduled me to come back in two weeks to discuss. Honestly, in my 25 years of seeing a Rheumy...no doctor has EVER done that! She even stayed well beyond normal office hours to ensure I was comfortable administering my own injections. Hands down, Dr. Lambert is by far the best doctor I've seen. She is incredibly smart...but beyond that, she truly takes the time to listen to her patients. First and foremost, she is a patient advocate.

In my search for an experienced rheumatologist without word of mouth recommendations, I blindly…read morescheduled appointments with almost a half dozen fellowship-trained rheumatologists before I would discover Dr Lambert. I specifically was seeking out one with experience with athletes and sports injuries, and was fortunate to have found Dr Lambert, as she had previously spent many years with the Stanford Sports Medicine clinic before moving over to SOAR. As Dr Lambert has a closed practice, I had to go through some hoops to obtain a referral for a consultation. I also endured almost a month's wait as this was during the holiday season. Despite these minor annoyances, Dr Lambert was nothing short of outstanding. After a comprehensive and inspiring one hour consultation, I cannot praise more highly the care provided by Dr Lambert. Her diagnostic skills are unrivaled, and this was matched by her professionalism, patient listening skills (asking appropriate questions afterwards, without interrupting the patient's train of thought), copious note-taking abilities (she filled my medical record page both front and back with the smallest of details), and empathy. I especially appreciated her hand-written notes updating me on new lab results, as well as personally calling me three times (we ran into an unfortunate game of phone tag) before reaching me, then spending ten minutes going over follow-up questions I neglected to ask during my last office visit. I look forward to my continued care under her infinite experience and wisdom!

I'm a new patient with Dr. Gonzales and I'm so very happy meet a beautiful doctor and so friendly…read more The office/front desk peoples also very friendly and one think I like this doctor office because they always give us a call as a reminder for the upcoming appointment and also everytime I got any results and they always mentioned Not Urgent so we won't get shocks. So for me Dr.Gonzales is my Favorite Doctor

My family member was previously a patient of Dr. Gonzales and received specialized oncology care…read morefollowing her referral. When the oncologist recommended returning to primary care, we contacted this practice to resume care. The office initially could not locate her records and subsequently told us she was no longer considered a patient. We were told Dr. Gonzales was not accepting new patients, although her webpage stated "accepting new patients" at the time. Someone we had recently referred to the practice had also been accepted. We did not receive a clear explanation for why a former patient could not return. This left our family searching for primary care for an older person with a new illness. We understand that practices have capacity limits. What disappointed us was the difficulty returning after a specialist referral, the conflicting information about patient acceptance, and the lack of a clear explanation. For anyone considering this practice, I recommend asking how continuity of care is handled if you need extended treatment with a specialist. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this practice.

I recently had a checkup with my new doctor. Although I was very happy with my old--oh, so very…read moreold--doctor, I am equally happy with my new one. When I was younger, I needed far less medical attention. As I've aged, however, I've needed more, and I've now seen Dr. Spira in action. I have been delighted by his thoroughness and the attention he gives to all my slings and arrows. Dr. Spira reaches deep into his bag of tricks, suggesting analyses and treatments in areas that are new to me, all with the goal of helping me stay on my feet. I was quite content before, but as the systems inevitably begin to fray with age, they require ever more attention. I feel fortunate to have such an excellent practitioner guiding me.

The Peninsula's concierge network is impressively interconnected, but the most critical factor for me was finding the right doctor-clinic fit. Though I initially sought an older male physician, Dr. Mosse has been nothing short of phenomenal. Her enthusiasm, depth of knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond stand out--especially in crafting personalized solutions for even lifestyle obstacles related to exercise, diet, and sleep for me. She excels at explaining clear, actionable steps toward a healthier life, cutting through the noise of modern wellness trends. In just four months, her guidance has led to: My best blood sugar and lipid levels in over a decade. Losing 20+ pounds (and counting). Successfully adopting intermittent fasting as a sustainable habit. I also prioritized a multi-doctor practice with strong administrative support to handle non-medical tasks swiftly--all at a fair price and payment structure. Village Doctor delivers very well on this end: their staff is exceptionally friendly, making every visit a positive experience. Even though I'll likely be moving a 45 minutes drive away soon, I plan to keep Village Doctor as my concierge practice.

Just like I'm petrified of going to the Dentist, going to the Doctor is equally as scary for me…read more I've been avoiding my "annual" medical checkup for 10 years. My wife has been on my ASS for five plus years about getting my butt in to see a Doc. Recently I have run out of excuses and my wife made an appointment for me. I didn't have a regular doctor so my wife did her research and thought Dr. Chen would be the one for me. He is Board Certified which I don't know what exactly that means, but supposedly it's a good thing. He is accepting new patients which at the time of the appointment was a bad thing. His office is close by our house which again is a good thing. Wait time in the lobby is kept to a minimum....if you stop and think about it, this can be a bad thing. He completed his undergrad at Brown which is the same school as my sister in-law, good thing? So how was my first visit? It was painless and strangely enjoyable. It turns out we had many common interests and has a broad knowledge beyond just the medical world. Excellent Doctor and would not hesitate recommending him to anyone who has been procrastinating a check up.

Dr. Kevin Chen embodies all the qualities that I want in a physician -- knowledgeable,…read morecompassionate, focused. He is well plugged into the PAMF system and thus can recommend other doctors. He is quite responsive to emails and extremely attentive during office visits. No medical system is perfect but quality is measured by people not systems, and Doctor Chen is a great example of what personal care should be.
