The nails design I liked. However, it was VERY poorly executed. The right hand didn't match the left, the shape was uneven, in the middle finger the acrylic was too bumpy and did not blend smoothly with my nail, two of the nails on the right hand were crooked, one of the nails in the left hand the glitter started falling off (unlike the right hand). When I went it took a while which I wouldn't mind if it was because of my nails but she constantly kept standing up and doing other things having all kinds of interruptions. Leaving me waiting and making me feel as if my business wasn't as important as the people getting a pedicures. I didn't even want anyone to see my nails. I was so excited by the great reviews and pictures being posted. I honestly wanted to like this place but sadly, I was very unsatisfy. I changed my review from 2 stars to 3 stars because I definitely think she could had done a great job if she would had focus more on the nails. This can be taken as constructive criticism or not. Im sooo happy to be able to give my first and foremost 5 stars rating! ! This was the best experience ive had at a nail salon. Although it was inside of a walmart, it was cheap and i had Kathys mom. She is a total sweetheart and she does such a great job! I had the mani pedi and i invited a friend to go and she treated us both very well. I will definitely go here often for all of my mani pedis and then i can go grocery shopping after. Kathys mom offered us drinks and made us feel very welcoming. They have a selection of colors and recommended us the newest colors of the season. Im really content with the results! Mani pedis are only $28! Without waiting for lines, their schedule are open and flexible. My friends has a lip wax and it was $5. read more

I must say I'm a believer in this place! I recently set up my appointment with Kathy (who was actually able to see me sooner than originally planned) for a full set. I've had a horrible experience the last time I tried this so I was skeptical, even more so because it was inside a walmart. But given the incredible reviews and the photos to prove it, I put on my big girl pants and gave it a shot. Kathy was incredible! She's such a sweet, adorable woman who really listened to what you wanted and kept her work very detail oriented. I honestly can't imagine going to anyone else. And the price! I got a full set in an almond shape for $23 with my student discount. I can't wait to go back and try some crazy designs :) very happy! read more

Most unsanitary pedicure ever!!! I honestly don't know why I didn't leave when I saw her pull out her nail nippers from a bucket without any sanitizer in sight. None of the files look like they're been cleaned since past customers. They used the nippers to cut my eponychium all around the nail when you're ever ever supposed to cut live tissue. Also they cut filed and clipped my nails when I asked them not to. They did a so so job painting my nails and a straight up horrible job on my friends toes, the polish was thick and goopy and no part of the pedicure was smooth at all. The only positive part on the experience was the massage and the cute baby of one of the owners. Would NEVER come here again. read more

Admittedly, I had always been skeptical about having my nails done inside Walmart because the reviews are usually bad. When I called to make an appointment I was told the location is inside Walmart. I was so impressed with the level of professionalism over the phone, and the reviews here on Yelp that I simply had to try it out. From the moment I walked in I was met with a smile, and fluent English. Most people are happy to find someone who speaks English because it makes them feel comfortable, American I dare say. I simply was happy to be able to ask that the tails of my eyebrows not be cut off. Kathy and her mother do exceptional work. They take pride in what they do and it shows. The salon is clean, quaint, comfortable, unpretentious, and soothing in a way that one does not often find in a nail salon. In this salon one feels at home as though with family and friends. Clients are separated by a wall from the noise and traffic of shoppers. There is a huge selection of nail colors to choose from; gel and regular. WiFi, and water are also available upon request. The quality of my manicure and gel is not consistent with the pictures I've seen on Yelp which led me to try Davi salon. A lot of overlapping of gel on my cuticle which will lead to peeling. Update: changing to 2;stars. Gel mani only lastest 1week and peeled right off. My pedi still looked only decent at two weeks though. Not the best I've had. read more

Dissppointed, I'm sure the lady that does the eyelashes is exceptional. Especially from the pictures i've seen but to reach someone seems near impossible. I went through messaging no response. I called the number just rings and if I get a voicemail and left a message no response either. I was trying to get my eyelashes done for the first time professionally before a cruise which was in May this year 2018. You know whats disgusting up until now still have yet to receive a phone call, lol. Please work on your communication it's one of the major keys to a successful business and building new clientele. Don't be turned turned off by the location-even though the salon is located inside Walmart, this place is a gem! First, I had a pedicure with Sylvia. She really took her time and was very detail-oriented. She did not rush and do sloppy work. For once, I could actually relax and not worry that I'd have to go home and fix her work. Next, I had a full set of gels put on with Joann. I was thrilled again. I came in with a horrible set of acrylics on my nails. Joann gently removed them and gave me the most natural looking gel full set. Joann's work is meticulous. Everything is sterilized and clean. So I called yesterday and requested an appointment not realizing that it was spring break. Of course they were full!! BUT, literally 5 mins later Kathy texted me and said that she had a cancellation. Who does that right? I mean that was the first 5 stars of customer service and I appreciated it so much. As a law student myself, I don't have an immense amount of "free time", so the fact that she contacted me to let me know she had an availability meant a lot. I knew I was in for something great (I concur with the other yelps on here as well) I came in this morning and told her the shape and color I would like. She noticed that my nails had been trashed out from the previous full set I had received and she took the time (where she gave me a mini manicure by cutting my horrible cuticles back ) to make sure my nails looked stunning! Let's be real, there's not a lot to offer the sketchballs on Colonial. Add a Walmart and it's already crazier. BUT Da Vi is a hidden gem, mainly because Kathy is so dang amazing. Also, her mom knows how to shape the heck out of a nail. But Kathy's where it's at. She's always available for an emergency or to fix my nail up after I messed it up 12 hours earlier. Kathy's passionate about nails and it's rare to find someone who genuinely cares about the profession and is so attentive to any blemishes in her work. I have never seen anyone do nails the way this guy did. Not a compliment. Sure he was nice and tried his best but it was as if he has never done gel nails before. To be honest, I'm pretty horrified after this experience, they literally clipped my toe nails and cuticles and then picked up the tools and started working on someone else. No sanitation in between. My gel finger nails are all warped, and I plan on going to another salon to get it fixed immediately. Very nice employees and great prices.... but my nails have never looked worse. 1/10 do not recommend. read more
