Went here after a LONG travel day. Located on Main St, Dave's offers pizza and Chester's Fried Chicken. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, an Astro pizza, a bacon double cheese pizza, cheesy bread and a house salad. Everyone loved their selections. Good crust and yummy ingredients. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. The game machines kept the kids busy while waiting. The dining room was divided in half. The front section had 6-7 booths and 3 high top tables. The back had the game machines and was beside the open kitchen. It was pretty warm in the restaurant. They had a single (VERY dusty yucky) fan running. There was a small salad bar but several items were empty and hadn't been replaced. If in the area again, I would probably opt for trying another place but the pizza was good. read more

Everybody we came into contact with was incredibly friendly, and the customer service was excellent. The pizza tasted good and was served hot. The ambience is not very inviting and is very plain. Although we adore the food, the setting prevented us from really enjoying it. read more

pizza tasted OK... nothing really great about it. I would not return for it, a microwave pizza at home would of been just as good. The salad bar was clean and fresh and pretty good. The employees did not even acknowledge our presence, when we walked in. They continued their obviously very important conversation with each other. Terrible customer service. The lady at the cash register refused to give me change for a $20 so I could leave a tip. When I told her it was for a tip, she relunctantly gave me change. I always leave a tip regardless but obviously a small one, only $5. Will never return to this business, they obvioisly are more involved with themselves than giving good customer service. Junkyard Bistro would be a better choice! read more

Although there was a bit of a wait for the pizzas, they were excellent. Their one-trip salad bar was full of fresh toppings also. I got the mini Cosmo and my husband got the small vegetarian. We shared an order of cheese bread. The mini was 4 slices, and the small had 6. We brought plenty back to our hotel room. So yummy! read more

Let's start with ordering. A young kid was counting his till while an older guy went to make pizza's. Know one said a word to the customers in line. We waited there awkwardly for someone to say something. 5 minutes later the kid looked up. After we ordered, we sat down. The staff came out yelling what they had in their hands. Confused a lot of the patrons. I went and asked for a fork and another kid looked at me like I was an Alien. Not one person that helped me looked at me in the face. It was weird. Really weird. You can tell that there was a lot of young kids running the place but it just gave a really unorganized vibe. Pizza was great but almost not worth the awkward wait and vibe. read more

First of all, I have been to Dave's several times and the food was fine. This time it wasn't. The large pizza was the size of a medium even though the waitress assured me it was a large. The waitress gave me the wrong bill, it didn't include my drinks. Being an honest guy I told her and she corrected the mistake. When I checked my credit card statement it had 2 charges, neither of them the correct one. Called the store and left a message for the manager. Late in the day I hadn't heard back so I called and told the manager of the situation. Today, when I looked at my statement it showed the correct bill but one of the others was still showing so I called the store. I didn't speak to the manager but the person who answered was looking into it. When I mentioned my dissatisfaction with the pizza he started cursing at me, calling me names and was extremely rude. I have never had a situation like this before and will never return to Dave's and advise me friends of what happened. read more

I have been disappointed multiple times at Daves. The food is good but the behavior of the owner/manager, Jerry, is unacceptable; saying he has tantrums is being nice. In an area where businesses struggle you would expect more professionalism and better customer service. So, we will never return so farewell! read more

Surprisingly good pizza and wings for being the only place in town (that I could tell) with no competition. We went with a half cheese, half pep pie plus BBQ wings. Service friendly and efficient despite being understaffed. Would def eat here again when in town. read more

I ate there two nights ago and the food was good. It did take a while to come out but it was busy. I got the chicken Caesar salad small which was a hefty portion for under 4 bucks and the mini pizza. Cheese. Very delicious. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the lack of air conditioning. It was hotter inside than out and the high that day was 98 according to the sign. I was miserable but hey at least the food was great. They do shut their light off two hours before they close to deter business. I got a toy from their old coin crank machine and I got ... get this.... a voodoo doll!!! Hahahahhahaa then my friend put his coin in and for a voodoo doll!! That's the weirdest thing ever. We are from out of town- Boise- and are too spoiled with Idaho Pizza. The employees working in their were doing their best! Working hard with great customer service but the Pizza kind of reminded me of little Caesars. They have a good salad bar however. Nice addition to average pizza. read more

Ridiculously rude. 8:00pm tonight we going Dave's which on Yelp and on their door says Closed at 9:00pm. Waiting in line for 10 mins only to be told they were closed. Not only were we in line but 3 other groups on patrons. I've bought pizza from them many times over the last year. This will be the last time for a long time. I would have given one star but the pizza was actually pretty good. It had a lot of toppings and was tasty. The thing that made this dinner experience suck was the service and the attitude of the people working here. We came in on a Tuesday night with the family, my father lived in town and we were visiting. So we thought we would try it out. The young kids taking orders were not friendly and when they brought out your food it was like they were being inconvenienced. In town visiting some family and my boyfriends younger brothers wanted to take part in the "pizza challenge!" While they were able to finish that 24 inch pizza in 40 minutes, they enjoyed trying and we enjoyed watching! Their pizza is delicious, I had the gluten free crust and it was even fantastic!! Yesterday I got out of a long day at work, looking to crash at home in front of some football. However, I was hungry. The prospect of standing in line at the grocery store for mediocre frozen pizza didn't appeal to me. A co-worker had recommended the white sauce pizza at Dave's so I figure, that will hit the spot. Oh my goodness. I ordered a small Southwestern Chicken pizza. It had white sauce, breakfast bacon (regular bacon), spicy chicken, green chilies, mushrooms and onions on it. Yum yum yum. It was the best pizza I have had in a LONG time. I've lived in a lot of places and this is up there with the best pizza I've ever had. They state that they make all their pizzas to order and use all fresh ingredients (it took about 15- 20 minutes for them to prepare my pizza after I ordered at the counter- I don't mind waiting for good food). It's a little pricey (but pizza in small towns usually is for some reason). However, it is worth it. Delicious! I am looking forward to trying other types of pizza here, but at the same time I am completely sold on the Southwestern Chicken. Wow. Yummy! read more

I was in town for work, and stayed in Salmon, ID for about two weeks. Being from Seattle, I missed having the luxury to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. Dave's Pizza was about as good as it gets for food in this town. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of other food options for a small town, but the pizza here is truly authentic. The crust was nice and crispy (they make it on a wood fire), and I had them make a custom vegetarian pizza that turned out amazing. Pizza places aren't always a great place--often quick, cheap (or pricey too), a bit greasy. Dave's was large, open, airy, not crowded or noisy. The seating was spacious, bathrooms were clean. The salad bar--the salad bar alone is worth going in for. Excellent price, amazing selections packed into a short salad bar. Pricing for one or two trips, and very large plates. And the pizza--the wait-staff was excellent and patient as we built a pizza for four with two varied halves. Very accommodating, and the pizza tasted great. Very pleasant staff, wait time was good, and atmosphere was pleasant. We'd return again. read more

Dave's pizza is just okay. I would say that it tastes comparable to pizza joints like Dominoes and Pizza Hut. Very average. Lots of sauce and crust, not very much in the area of toppings. If you are in Salmon and are wanting to try a great pizza place, try Last Chance Pizza. They make specialty pizzas that blow Daves out of the water. We lived in the area for years and have eaten at both places many times, not just passing through once, so I feel that I am able to give an educated review. To sum it up, we would only eat at Daves on Sundays, when Last Chance was closed. read more

Decided on Dave's after going to two other places in town that were swamped with people. The fact that we chose to stay and eat here when there were only two other tables with people in them was our first mistake. Ordered the fried chicken which they couldn't cook because the grease was dirty, ordered fried pickles but couldn't cook it because it would make the fry grease taste like pickles. Landed on the specials, French dip sandwich and Philly cheesesteak sandwich. These were left over shredded, dry pieces of roast beef on a flat, dry bread. The French dip fell apart completely and the cheesesteak was the same sandwich with a piece of cheese on it. These sandwiches were inedible. Took it back to the counter and showed the young person behind the counter who had to talk to her boss, presumably Dave. He would not come to the counter to hear my concern and just rudely yelled over his oven, "That's how we make them here so I won't help you." Wow, worst food and worst service ever. Like I started with, should have left when they had no business on a busy day in a small town. read more

Their Pizza is excellent' their Chicken is very good ass well, on more than one occasion we have asked for chicken and they have told us we will close in twenty minutes' we can make you a pizza instead?
