After a friendly greeting from Eric at the bar, we seated ourselves there, they have daily drink specials, super cheap items like two dollar beers rotating daily. Anyway, back to the food, which is the most important part! I decided to order the Vietnamese Bah Min sandwich and my husband opted for the hot Italian sandwich. The sandwiches come with the choice of sides so glad we chose the homemade clam chowder which was off the hook! the chowder came when the sandwich arrived on a nice board. I'm always hesitant to order this item any place that isn't fully legit Vietnamese, but I have to say this was an incredible sandwich from the bread up to the top with the amazingly succulent pork grilled to perfection with a spicy sauce on toasted French bread, cucumbers, red onions, and a sprinkling a cilantro really rounded out the whole thing. My husband had a delicious hot Italian, not so hot that the lettuce on the top of the sandwich was still fresh. It had a beautiful slice of mozzarella and succulent meats. What an impressive lunch I felt like I could have been in the best bistro anywhere in the world and was so happy to be here with this crew. liked that you can watch the chef cook your meal right in front of you for a tiny kitchen She really puts out some great dishes. The meat just tasted like overcooked beef slabs. It was large and tons of beef but you wouldn't want to eat the beef because of its lack of flavor. I tried putting ketchup on the beef just to help it because not even the au jus was helping. But that didn't do any better. :( The fish and chips were good but just one slice of lemon wasn't enough and no malt vinegar offered. We didn't get a "table check" so we could ask for these items so we just ate what we could and waved down for the check. Salmon is so small that there are not many options for food at all. You'll likely not have much of a choice but to dine here if staying for a few days, so I suggest just not getting the French dip.

The bowling alley has 8 lanes and a very cool vintage above floor ball return. One of the owners talked to us for a bit and couldn't have been nicer. It's good to know they are dedicated to making this place work in this beautiful town. If your passing through town I couldn't recommend this place more.
