I hadn't been here for many years. We went in mid evening. The pizza was quite good but the prices are pretty steep and the wait time was very long. read more

Dave's Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Bemidji, Minnesota

The pizza was very good, but I do have to say that it was also VERY expensive. For a small pizza and two beers, with a 18% tip, I paid $51.10. While I do love pizza, that's a bit too much for a small Dave's Special. read more

Dave's Pizza - Dining very quaint - Pizza Near Me - Bemidji, Minnesota

Excited to eat here hoping it would be the same atmosphere and taste from 50 years ago. You seat yourself. We were fortunate to find a table that could accommodate all 5 of us. We ordered drinks and a large Dave's special. The drinks came right away, but the 1 pizza took over 40 minutes and not once did our server check on us. Not sure what took so long and never given an explanation. When the pizza arrived, it was hot. We really liked the sauce. The toppings were good but sparse. After we were finished, we then had to track our server down to get our bill. We will be back. read more

Over the course of the past four decades or so, my family members and I have eaten here numerous times. We've always had excellent pizzas and other food here. No complaints on the service, either. This has become our "go to" place when visiting this area of northern Minnesota. read more

The pizza was pretty good, and my friend liked his calzone. It was nice they served some local brews. We got the vegetarian pizza, build your own pizza, and a mushroom calzone. We also got a couple local beers from Bemidji Brewing Company. The ambiance felt a little uncomfortable with bright lights and no music playing, so we tried to play the jukebox but first they had it muted so they tried turning it up mid song and it was still so quiet then it stopped playing anyway and it ate our money, and the staff just had no clue how to work it. I think it would help the ambiance to have SOME sort of music playing in the restaurant, because it sounds like the jukebox is just for show anyway. The servers were very friendly and attentive. I'd heard about this place from a friend so I'm glad I gave it a try! read more

My favorite pizza place. Love Dave's. Old school pizza joint. Crust on the pizza is crisp and spot on. You can't go wrong with this place read more

Best Pizza in bemidj minnesota.we go there every year. Good for Carry out too. Easy parking.

This place has good reviews, so I decided to check it out. The only thing that went well was following the sign that said seat yourself. It was 10 minutes before anyone appeared, drop a menu and left. Ten more minutes before another waitress came and took my order. It took 30 more minutes to get my pizza. In between no one ever checked on me; I had to flag the waitress down to get a glass of water. The pizza was another disaster. You could barely cut through the rock hard crust, which was their traditional crust. I asked for the check, 5 minutes later. Went to pay and found that they charge an additional fee of 4% when using debit or credit. The kid was also rude. The only bright spot was meeting a couple in front of me. They were locals and very friendly. read more

I have been coming to Dave's Pizza since 2005. Normally the service is very good. Tonight I waited for 20 minutes before my order was taken. That was only after I flagged down a waitress. She said she would let the waitress serving my area know. I then waited another 10 minutes. The place was half-full with customers. The pizza then arrived to my table 20 minutes later. I needed a refill of my Pepsi. I waited for my waitress for 10 minutes. I never seen her again. I then walked up to the counter and asked for a refill. The pizza was EXCELLENT, as usual. I still highly recommend this Dave's Pizza. I give the pizza an A! Service: F- read more

I've been going here since 1960, it's still the same high quality, product..! Expensive but worth it!!! I rate it in my top FOUR anywhere any time . New York, Chicago, Rome, Minneapolis, St Paul!! read more

We got a large traditional crust which was a mix of deep dish and thin crust. No edge crust like a thin crust, and cut in squares. The bottom was crispy and awesome! The layer between the bottom and the sauce and ABUNDANT toppings was fluffy and oh so perfect! Pepperoni was spicy and heavenly. Italian sausage, perfect! There was just enough sauce. So if you like a heavily sauced pizza, ask for extra sauce. Because it's delish! We also ordered the breadsticks. Those were boring and we were not a fan. Will absolutely get this pizza again when we are in town. read more

The pizza was just ok but the service was inexcusably poor. Eating in the restaurant, it took over TWO HOURS to get two small thin crust pizzas. Even worse, there was no communication about what was happening. Each table seemed to have its own server, and ours disappeared for 45+ minutes at a time. Other tables had the same issues, as we all openly wondered if the servers had gone home. When ours finally delivered the food she angrily said, "you have to understand that we're really busy". No, I think "Dave" needs to understand how to properly train the staff. Don't get mad at your customers because they came in. And if you're overwhelmed, let them know. Don't run away and hide, leaving your tables to fend for themselves. Overall, an exceedingly disappointing experience. It's truly a shame that these employees feel like they're providing customer service when they're actually doing the opposite. But, if people keep going there anyway, "Dave" has no incentive to teach the employees how to treat customers with respect or courtesy. What a shame. Bemidji deserves better. read more

I am from Bemidji and grew up going to Dave's Pizza. I have since traveled the world and back again. Dave's Pizza remains the best pizza anywhere! read more

This is the best pizza in town. The wood brick oven really make the crust toasty yet soft. Toppings galore and the regular has plenty of cheese. The interior does have some new remodeling ...new carpet and kitchen etc. very well managed place where the owner hangs onto staff and the managers. Long time reputation in town has been excellent for decades. read more

Greasiest pizza I've ever had, and ended up burping up the few slices I had the remainder of the evening. Filled 2 napkins up with grease before I was able to have any. I had high hopes. If you don't mind grease, and don't care about the the issues that may follow, go for it. read more

Decided at the last minute to go out for pizza while camping with my 6 year old son. Picked this place for the high reviews and it did not disappoint. My son generally only eats maybe one piece of pizza, but he devoured many of the small pieces of pizza and declared it was one of the best pizzas he ever had. I agree, it was delicious. Also, the server was attentive and kind, as was the rest of the staff. read more

This pizza was delicious!! Best pizza I've had in a long time. Would definitely go there again, even if it meant going out of my way. The cheese was the biggest plus. It was amazing. Great toppings and the crispy edges on the pizza were so good. I wouldn't recommend the bbq chicken pizza, it had olives and fresh tomatoes on it, which I wasn't expecting, but everything else was so good. Server was great. Food didn't take too long. Everyone else got some good looking breadsticks, that we didn't try, but I would next time. We also had root beer floats for dessert, which the kids loved. All in all, highly recommend this place! read more

Came here for dinner the other night. Had a large pepperoni pizza extra cheese. The two of us were able to finish it. I was amazed we were able to do this, but I could not stop eating this delicious pizza. I would definitely recommend Dave's if you are in town and have an urge for some pizza. On top of the delicious food, the service was also outstanding. A nice casual place to bring the family for dinner. read more

We ordered carry out calzones. The food was great, lots of fillings in the calzone. I had to ask for a container of dipping sauce but it was happily provided at no extra cost. The food was hot and ready when they said it would be. read more

Must visit when in Bemidji. Arrive early for a seat and to avoid waiting too long for pizza. Wonderful specialty pizzas, i was able to finish a small Chunky Vegetable. YUM!! This is a tiny Italian pizzeria that my wife and i like to go to on dates. The pizza is delicious with the crust just a tad crunchy and many unique kinds to choose from. We also ordered some fettuccine alfredo and the noodles were cooked to al dente perfection! What also impresses me is that the owner (Pete) wears an apron and works right alongside the staff, bussing tables, or bringing out food. He enjoys being there to work, and it shows. read more

Dave's Pizza is a must foe our family every year when we vacation in Bemidji! Best pizza in town!

Awesome, wonderful, polite, tasty, fast, and filling are all words I use to describe this excellent pie. I went with a simple pepperoni on traditional crust and was just wowed. Called in order about 30 minutes before closure and they had my pie ready in 10 minutes. Love the square cut pieces, prefect little bite size pieces. Well done... read more

The pizza was delicious! We have enjoyed Dave's for 5 generations when we visit Bemidji over the 4th of July.

The place is awesome! Old style pizza place with a small town feel, did not catch the waitresses name but she was awesome full of energy and made me even more excited for the food! She recommended the cheese sticks and she was right sooooo good! Yeah the pizza is a bit pricy but it's worth the money! But I would easy pay the extra money for the great service. read more

My husband, grandson, and I are trying to decide how to rate Dave's. I guess I won. We sat outside because frankly it was too cold inside. We waited for 15 minutes before anyone came out to see us (my husband went in to ask them to come out). We had meatball appetizer (not bad), spaghetti marinara (paste with oregano), and the veggies pizza with pepperoni (who put green olives on a pizza (Minnesotans). Food was okay. I don't think they ever been to New York so don't order New Yorkers style. The sad part came with the bill. If I paid the way it was totaled it would have been great. But I'm an honest person and I pointed out the mistake. The man who rang me out also screwed up, remember, I'm an honest person and again I pointed out the mistake. Did they give me a discount? A Thank you? A coupon for my next visit? NOTHING!! Will I be honest next time? Not sure there will be a next time! read more

Simply delicious. I recommend the cheesy breadsticks and marinara sauce while waiting on pizza.

The best pizza we had on our roadtrip down the Great River road.

Very thin, greasy and boring pizza. Absolutely no room for a group of more than 4 people and walking through the restaurant is extremely awkward because if you are bigger than a child, you are in everyone's personal space trying to get in and out of your place read more
