DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have been trying to contact our representative since March, and have…read moretried to contact HSE multiple times with no answer every time. I have been double charged for months and I want to prevent that from happening to anyone else. I would like to formally file a complaint regarding my experience with Home Security Experts, an ADT Authorized Dealer, and specifically Sales Representative Jesse Soltelo (Dealer License #12352). My family originally purchased ADT equipment and monitoring services through Home Security Experts in November 2024. We had no billing issues and were satisfied customers until we moved residences in March 2025. Prior to our move, I contacted Jesse Soltelo to discuss transferring our existing ADT service and equipment to our new residence. During that conversation, I was informed that rather than paying the approximately $200 transfer fee, he would cancel our existing service and enroll us in a new account with new equipment and services at our new address for no cost. Based on those representations, we proceeded with the new installation. On March 20, 2025, I received a DocuSign contract for the new installation. The agreement reflected an installation fee of $99; however, I understood that amount would be waived, and the documentation indicated a balance due of $0. Despite this, we were subsequently charged the $99 installation fee. I immediately contacted Jesse regarding the discrepancy. He acknowledged the issue and informed me that the $99 charge would be refunded. To date, I do not believe we have received that refund. Shortly thereafter, we discovered we were being billed for both the new account and the account associated with our previous residence. I again contacted Jesse and asked whether the prior account had been canceled as promised. Rather than responding via text message, Jesse called me and stated that he was unaware we were still being charged for the previous account. He assured me that he would take care of canceling the old service. When no resolution occurred, I followed up multiple times. After additional conversations, Jesse acknowledged that we should be refunded for the months we had been charged since our move and confirmed both our previous and current addresses. However, despite those assurances, the issue was never resolved. Following those discussions, my messages began going unanswered. Eventually, my text messages no longer appeared to deliver, and I was unable to obtain any further updates regarding the status of our account, cancellation, or refund. As a direct result of these failures: * Our previous account was never properly canceled despite being represented as canceled. * We have continued to incur charges for monitoring services at a residence we no longer occupy. * We were charged for two ADT accounts simultaneously. * We were charged a $99 installation fee that we were told would not be owed. * We have spent significant time attempting to resolve this issue through the salesperson who originally handled our account. * We are now receiving repeated collection and billing calls from ADT regarding the account associated with our previous residence. The most concerning aspect of this situation is that we relied on the representations made by your sales representative. Had we been informed that the original account would remain active or that we would continue to be contractually responsible for both accounts, we would have handled the move and transfer process differently. Instead, we followed the guidance provided by your representative and are now facing months of duplicate charges, ongoing collection activity, and concerns regarding potential damage to our credit due to an account that should have been canceled when we moved. I respectfully request the following: Immediate cancellation of all ADT services associated with our previous residence. A complete investigation into why the prior account was not canceled as represented. A full refund of all monitoring charges incurred on the previous residence after our move date. Review and reimbursement of the $99 installation charge that we were advised would be waived. Written confirmation that any delinquency, collections activity, or negative reporting associated with the prior account will be corrected and will not impact our credit. A written explanation of what occurred internally and why this issue remained unresolved despite multiple communications with your representative. I have retained screenshots of my communications with Jesse Soltelo, call records, and supporting documentation regarding the installation agreement and account activity, which I am prepared to provide upon request. I have been double charged since MARCH OF THIS YEAR. I sent my original email back in May with no response, due to lack of resolution I will now make my family's experience public. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I would give zero stars if possible.

They've set up 5 of our properties across Placerville, Auburn, Pollock Pines, Plymouth, and Rancho, with and when we need service, they show up. Period. Their security camera systems are high quality and exactly what we needed and are dialed in positioned exactly where they need to be, with easy access from both our office and our cell phones. And AAA is always there to the rescue, it may not be as fast as you want it to be but they do their best to get to you within 2-4hrs or soon depending how many personnel they have. The fastest my parents was helped was 45min upon tow truck arrival. Keep in mind, it is a though world out there in regards to manning, so you can't honestly deduct an automatically 1 star for the sake of convenience because in the end result, you've been provided the best quality service out their nation wide. Look at all the businesses out there, everyone is short staff. If you want faster service in regards to road side assistance, I encourage you to apply and be a part of the solution for other customers and not be a part of a Karen/Kenny who likes to complain for one small thing. LOL! I deduct one star, cuz it's somewhat pricey, but I still get the best service amongst other car insurances. AAA Plan Enhancements Your local AAA club may have additional coverage options. For example, AAA car insurance plans through Auto Club South come in three varieties: Essential, Advantage, and Ultimate. -Essential: This plan ensures your policy won't increase for small claims - under $250 if you were at fault, and $750 if you weren't. -Advantage: Tacks on a full claim forgiveness option that kicks in after you've been insured with AAA for five years without a claim. -Ultimate: You can have one claim forgiven from the start of your plan and get up to $50 as a credit on your renewal each policy term. At this level, your deductible also shrinks by $50 per claim-free policy term. Additionally, you have the option to add these AAA auto insurance services: -Enhanced total loss replacement: This option expands your collision coverage to pay for a new model car replacement if your car is totaled, instead of the market value of your car. -Loan/lease gap: This gap insurance covers the difference in price between your totaled car and the amount you have left on your loan or lease. Enhanced exterior repair: With this option, exterior parts on your car will be replaced with parts from the original manufacturer, not aftermarket parts. This excludes mechanical parts - the only way to get replacement original equipment manufacturer (OEM) mechanical parts is through coverage like the factory Jeep warranty. -Transportation Network Company: This provides rideshare insurance for people who use their cars in the gig economy. Check your local AAA club website and AAA car insurance reviews from customers in your area to see what might be available to you. AAA Auto Insurance Discounts The AAA Auto Club South claims that users save $749 on average by switching to AAA, and AAA insurance reviews mention big savings too. You can look out for the following AAA car insurance discounts: Member discount: You get a discount based on your years with AAA prior to purchasing auto insurance. -Safety inspection discount: Get a safety inspection for your car by AAA and receive a discount on your insurance premium. --AAADrive/AAA OnBoard discount: This is AAA's mobile app that tracks your driving habits and issues discounts based on safe driving. -Safe driver discount: When you're a good driver, you can save up to 20 percent on your auto insurance policy. You must complete an approved defensive driver safety course. -Multiple car discount: Save up to 27 percent on auto insurance premiums when you insure a second vehicle. It should be noted that only certain coverages are eligible for this discount, and the cars must be regularly driven by policyholders. -Multiple policy discount: You can save money when you combine multiple policies with AAA: Bundle auto and home to save up to 15 percent, auto and condo to save up to 11 percent, auto and renters to save up to 3 percent, or home and life to save up to 19 percent. -Pay-in-full discount: Earn this discount when you pay your entire 12-month premium upfront. -Going paperless: You can save on AAA auto insurance by simply signing up for paperless billing. -Loyalty: Earn up to 5 percent off after one year of continuous auto insurance coverage. -Safety features: You can earn this discount for select coverage when you have anti-theft features, motorized seatbelts, airbags, and other safety features. -Homeowners: Save up to 37 percent when you own a home. -New car discount: Save up to 30 percent when you purchase a car that's no more than 3 years old. -Discount for professionals: AAA offers discounts for drivers in certain professions. Ask your local agent how you can get up to 7 percent off when you're an engineer, scientist, medical professional, educator, or CPA. And they also do an international driver's permit and must have $20 check/money order and a passport photo to provide to AAA if you travel often to different countries.
