Great service organization. Family and I have used them a number of times on different ocassion of varying needs.. Highly recommend!

I called on a Monday afternoon to see if they could replace a broken ignition switch on my car. He said he didn't have it in stock and would have to order it and it would take 2-3 days. I called back on Friday since I hadn't heard back and was told he would see if he could find it and call me back. He never returned my call and I've called and left several messages that haven't been returned. read more

The definition of EXCELLENCE right here! A well run business. They answer the phone when you call (and are friendly and don't act like you are bothering them like some other businesses in town), they come quickly, do a perfect job, and are very reasonably priced. We have used them more than once too. Superb! Highly recommend! read more

Can't say enough good things! They came within 30 minutes of me calling! Quick and prompt. The locksmith who came out was friendly and efficient. Very affordable too. I would definitely use them in the future but hope I don't have to! read more

Was able to schedule same day service when I bought my new house and needed it to be rekeyed. Always very reliable, with quality workmanship and have and will continue to recommend for years. read more

Super responsive, fixed the lock on a single service call, very amiable and easy to work with.

Good service when I've used them in the past. And I understand that they probably offer some after-hours emergency services (not 24-hour, as advertised, but 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., if you read more closely). But for services that do require stopping into the shop, posting round-the-clock open hours to all online sources when the physical shop has open and closed hours tighter than the typical nine-to-five is the opposite of helpful. read more

Professional, affordable & fast. I locked my keys ( and phone ) in my car while 2 hours from home,,, read more

Dave's Locksmith Service is the BEST locksmith company you can go to. I had to have my automobile keyless fob programmed, and Dave's was my choice. After consulting with the dealership, I would have had to pay approximately $398 for the key fob and the programming. A service tech at the dealer recommended me looking online, and sure enough, I was able to find the exact model and ID fob as mine, for $59 on Amazon. Dave's was able to program the key fob to my vehicle and cut the emergency key attached, well under what the dealer asked. Prior to booking my appointment, I was told it would take approximately 30 minutes at the most. I arrived at my appointment and I was able to be in and out within that 30 minutes. I informed him I already had the replacement fob, however, they did mention to order one it would take a few days. Since I had one, there was no issue. The service was amazing, and my tech was really nice. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for any locksmith services. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! THANK YOU FOR MAKING SURE MY NEEDS WERE MET! You can make an appointment for them to ensure they have the equipment ready for you, or you can walk in. I made the appointment in order to make sure I was there as short as possible. Again, I think either way it still would have been exceptional! read more

I needed to have a copy of my storm door key made. Apparently these keys are very hard to come by and Dave's Locksmith is the only place in the area that has them in stock. I went there at 10 am and was greeted by one of the friendly staff members. He made my key within a minute and $1.50 later, I was out the door. So I highly recommend Dave's Locksmith. read more

We had a house guest who locked their keys in the car. Called Dave's on a Sunday afternoon and they traveled from Springfield to Auburn in less than 40 minutes. They had the late model SUV unlocked in under five minutes. Awesome service, worth every penny. Thanks to a great local business! read more

Need a great locksmith. Dave responded the same afternoon and re keyed 4 locks in short order and made 4 new keys. Highly recommend Dave. Very reasonable pricing and gets the job done!! read more

We are new to the area and just bought a home. I chose this locksmith by the previous reviews, and was NOT disappointed! The technician changed four lock cores and replaced a deadbolt in record time for half of what it would have cost us to buy new stuff at the hardware store! Thanks! I highly recommend these guys!!! read more

OK, here we go. I called a couple of nights ago (two to be exact) no call back until the next morning. So I don't really understand what the 24 hour open means. An individual called me the next morning and asked what I needed. I told him that I needed my car rekeyed ( my daughter lost the one set we had). He told me he needed the vehicle at his shop, so I got address and had the vehicle towed to his place. I texted and told him when it was on his way. The tow company took the vehicle strait there, and I did not hear one word of any kind on status. I called later that evening (because its a 24 hour place of business) and left a message to call with update and left a text on the number they had used to tell me the address of where to drop off the vehicle (no response). But the text were being read! I left about 3-4 more text (no response). I changed my mind about the whole ordeal and decided to go pick up the car (daughter found the keys) so I told them with a voice mail (tried but the voice mail was full, probably from all the unanswered messages on the system!) I finally get one text that says that they will be "finishing up later that day". When you hear "finishing" this means that they started, correct? No, I went straight over to his shop, and it was in the exact spot that the tow truck left the prior day, not any work done. So I got in, started my car and drove off. So, long story short. Don't use this company! They are not a professional locksmith company. They are not open for business 24 hours, they do not communicate quickly. read more

Just moved back to Springfield and bought a new house. Called Dave's, as I wanted to support a local businessman. Dave called me back within 2 hours and scheduled a visit for that same day! He inspected the locks and door knobs, advised on options, and completed the work quickly. Super friendly, reasonable prices, fast service! read more

Very fast and friendly! I locked myself out of my car at work just north of downtown and called Dave's as soon as I was free, figuring I'd better leave myself as much time as possible just in case (before I either had to leave in time to pick up my son, or call my wife and ask her to give up her gym time to get him.) Dave's quoted 15 minutes, arrived in less than ten, and had my car open a few minutes later. It took longer to charge my debit card than to get the car open. I will (inevitably, it seems) use Dave's again next time I'm locked out in Spribgfield. read more

Great Father/Son team! I would recommend them to everyone I know! Keep up the great work guys!

I rent an apartment here in Springfield and own my home in another state. I wanted keys for a patio door in the apartment (which were not provided with the apartment)., I did not want to install something secondary and modify the structure. I took the lock set in and had new keys made for the existing lock. The process was painless and done within half an hour. It was much more affordable than buying something to replace it! The whole experience was friendly, painless and extremely inexpensive compared to what I was expecting! Kudos!! read more

I started a "do-it yourself" project and successfully removed a deadbolt lock from one of my house exterior doors and then things went awry. I couldn't get the new lock installed and didn't want to leave the house unloacked so I called Dave's. Service arrived within the hour, was done qquickly, professionally and reasonably. The technician offered to show me how to do it for next time but I told him I prefer just to keep the phone number handy. read more

Outstanding service and very timely. Locksmith was at my house just over an hour after I called for service; and on a Saturday!! I had two deadbolts re-keyed, and the work was completed in a short time. The amount charged was unbelievably low. Next time I need a locksmith, Dave's will be the only place I call. read more
