But for services that do require stopping into the shop, posting round-the-clock open hours to all online sources when the physical shop has open and closed hours tighter than the typical nine-to-five is the opposite of helpful. read more

Dave's Locksmith Service is the BEST locksmith company you can go to. I had to have my automobile keyless fob programmed, and Dave's was my choice. After consulting with the dealership, I would have had to pay approximately $398 for the key fob and the programming. A service tech at the dealer recommended me looking online, and sure enough, I was able to find the exact model and ID fob as mine, for $59 on Amazon. Dave's was able to program the key fob to my vehicle and cut the emergency key attached, well under what the dealer asked. Prior to booking my appointment, I was told it would take approximately 30 minutes at the most. I arrived at my appointment and I was able to be in and out within that 30 minutes. I informed him I already had the replacement fob, however, they did mention to order one it would take a few days. Since I had one, there was no issue. The service was amazing, and my tech was really nice. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for any locksmith services. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! THANK YOU FOR MAKING SURE MY NEEDS WERE MET! You can make an appointment for them to ensure they have the equipment ready for you, or you can walk in. I needed to have a copy of my storm door key made. Apparently these keys are very hard to come by and Dave's Locksmith is the only place in the area that has them in stock. OK, here we go. I called a couple of nights ago (two to be exact) no call back until the next morning. So I don't really understand what the 24 hour open means. An individual called me the next morning and asked what I needed. I told him that I needed my car rekeyed ( my daughter lost the one set we had). He told me he needed the vehicle at his shop, so I got address and had the vehicle towed to his place. I texted and told him when it was on his way. The tow company took the vehicle strait there, and I did not hear one word of any kind on status. I called later that evening (because its a 24 hour place of business) and left a message to call with update and left a text on the number they had used to tell me the address of where to drop off the vehicle (no response). But the text were being read! I left about 3-4 more text (no response). I changed my mind about the whole ordeal and decided to go pick up the car (daughter found the keys) so I told them with a voice mail (tried but the voice mail was full, probably from all the unanswered messages on the system!) I finally get one text that says that they will be "finishing up later that day". When you hear "finishing" this means that they started, correct? No, I went straight over to his shop, and it was in the exact spot that the tow truck left the prior day, not any work done. So I got in, started my car and drove off. So, long story short. Don't use this company! They are not a professional locksmith company. They are not open for business 24 hours, they do not communicate quickly. read more

Very fast and friendly! I locked myself out of my car at work just north of downtown and called Dave's as soon as I was free, figuring I'd better leave myself as much time as possible just in case (before I either had to leave in time to pick up my son, or call my wife and ask her to give up her gym time to get him.) Dave's quoted 15 minutes, arrived in less than ten, and had my car open a few minutes later. It took longer to charge my debit card than to get the car open. I rent an apartment here in Springfield and own my home in another state. I wanted keys for a patio door in the apartment (which were not provided with the apartment)., I did not want to install something secondary and modify the structure. I took the lock set in and had new keys made for the existing lock. The process was painless and done within half an hour. It was much more affordable than buying something to replace it!
