Both keys work great, and they're actually better than my original because the replacements are taller and easier to grab when in the ignition! AND... both keys were only $4 each! THANKS AGAIN! Waking up early on a Saturday with the goal in mind of driving down from Chicago to Litchfield,…read moreclearing out a storage locker, and turning right back around to head back to the city within the same day.. let's say, not exactly my ideal way to spend half a weekend. Arriving at the storage locker after a four hour drive only to discover that you inexplicably brought the wrong padlock key was practically demoralizing. As my dad and I sat in the Wendy's parking lot eating lunch inside our sunk-cost U-Haul (an unquestionably sorry looking scene), we attempted to try and accept our looming fate -- returning empty handed, the time and money wasted, dreading whatever other Saturday we'd need to commit to accomplish the task. I'd just finished reading through multiple random internet forums discussing just how impenetrable this particular lock we had would be to break, and had the fleeting thought to reach out to a locksmith. Seeing as it was Saturday afternoon and Litchfield is a small town, I figured if someone could even come out to begin with, it'd run us, oh.. $300? More? I had absolutely no idea, and little hope of it actually becoming a feasible option. Long story short - this is where Bobbie stepped in and saved the day as well as what remained of our dignity. She quoted me a no strings attached $40 flat rate, met us 15 minutes later, and was a pleasure to converse with as she solved our impenetrable padlock. I've never been so happy to get to move furniture. Five stars hands down, highly recommend - thank you again, Bobbie!

I was in quite a pickle and these guys really helped me out! My car was burgled and my key fob,…read morecontaining the computer chip necessary to start and unlock my car, was included in the items stolen. As if the situation wasn't already crappy enough, this was the only key I had to my car. After searching the Internet tirelessly, it seemed I only had two choices to get my car running again. Choice #1: Have my car towed to the nearest dealership. Choice #2: Find a locksmith that not only had the equipment to program the computer chip in the fob, but that was also willing to come to where my car was. The closest dealership happened to be in Springfield and I was in a small river town in Iowa. Choice 1 was going to get expensive fast! Choice 2 seemed to be the best option but the locksmith in my town didn't have the equipment to program the chip. So back to the Internet I went and there I found A-1 Security & Lock Service in Quincy. Not only were they willing to make the 45 minute drive to me, they had the equipment to cut a new key and program the computer chip as well!! It actually took less that 45 minutes! They were professional and didn't charge me an arm and a leg for their services. The situation I was in could easily have cost me some SERIOUS CASH! In upwards of $500 or even more. With their cost of $1 a mile and cutting 2 new keys and programming them I spent $190. However I did purchase the 2 key blanks with blank computer chips in them from Amazon which I do not suggest doing. There is a chance that the aftermarket key you purchase from the Internet will not program. Then you will be left with a useless key and the charges for A-1's services and the amount of purchasing another key that will work. A-1 is able to get the key you need, so just buy yours from them. I got lucky that mine did work. A-1 was professional, on time and like superheroes to me in my situation. I hope this review can help someone out there in the same situation because I know there are others out there trying to figure out what to do.
