    Dave's #4 1 Slider with Fries
    Dianna N.

Fast casual chain that specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken. Fun and funky decor with friendly staff. Chicken was for sure crispy. You can choose the heat level from no heat to reaper (which requires you sign a waiver). I'm a fan of heat and can handle but due to my pregnancy was weary to try the reaper due to the waiver requirement. So just went with hot. Hot didn't have heat for me so I think I would've been totally fine with the reaper. The dry rub definitely more pepper forward with a little sweetness.

I'll be honest and to the point, I am not of fan. I went at a bit of a busier time, we opted to just order online and pickup but it was still a hassle. The inside is smaller but in the warmer months they do also have outdoor seating. I LOVE spicy food & mostly only eat chicken as far as protein (meat). We got the 1 tender, 1 slider & fries combo, ordered in at the "hot" spice level & it comes w/ Dave sauce. We ordered extra sauce but 1 was more than enough. I will say the spice level was on point as far as it actually being spicy but I really did not care for the sweetness of seasoning blend they use. It was cinnamon or nutmeg or something but it was a bit too sweet for me. Crinkle fries never stay hot for long and aren't good once they get soggy but they were overall a good salty balance to the sweetness of the chicken. I'd say the sliders are the way to go if you do go here. I feel like it was a bit overhyped.

Fun graffiti art all over the place.

What a nice surprise! Very colorful atmosphere and friendly staff. GREAT FRIED CHICKEN ! The portions are big: a 'slider' is probably what a normal fried chicken sandwich should be, so I'd recommend the #4 with the kale slaw - very fresh and yummy! They basically just serve one thing: fried chicken tenders and fried chicken tenders on a bun :) Nothing fancy, but great fast food.

I wanted to try this place because of tiktok, I got the no spice tenders and I thought they were pretty fresh along with the tangy pickles, I also liked the sauce better than canes sauce but I don't know if I'd revisit this place it wasn't anything super special

Personally I think it's overpriced and not the best. I think the description of sliders is very incorrect. They are full sized so getting 2 was way too much for 1 person. I wish they had silverware and ketchup out on the counter but they don't. Parking is a nightmare at busy times. The place gets very loud. The tables are not spaced out so if you try to get out you're hitting the person behind you.

First off the bat, the parking lot is not good, too small and shared by several business in the strip mall. But I know that's not the restaurants fault, just a consideration. I got the #4 which is a slider and fries. My favorite part was the fries; crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a good amount of seasoning. I also liked the dipping sauce which tasted like a sriracha mayo. I also like the last there are I think 5 spice levels, which is good because I initially thought all the chicken would be really spicy. I am not a pickle person so I took those off but the slaw was great and the flavor of the chicken was really tasty. One thing that would make this better is if the chicken was thinner, it would be easier to eat.

You really can't go wrong with fried chicken tenders, and Dave's was a fun new place to try since they expanded to Minnesota! We've gone a couple times now and the staff has seemed annoyed with everyone every time, but the food has been consistently good. It gets busy around dinner time and the wait can be longer. The mild seasoning is the perfect level in my opinion, and the dipping sauce is delicious. I do wish the bread would be buttered instead of plain. We've only got the food to go, but there is plenty of seating indoors and on the patio. Parking can be tricky at busy times, but normally people are filtering in and out quickly.

I know a lot of people get caught up in hype when a place is given so much advance media, but I really enjoyed Dave's Hot Chicken and happy to see more opening up around the Twin Cities area. This particular location seems a little smaller and I went at a fairly busy time, so it was a little long to wait in line and the parking lot was packed, but food came out quickly. I liked the tenders with medium sauce. This place definitely reminded me of places down South with limited menu options, but if you're only going to do a few things, you need to do them right. Dave's does hot chicken right. Can't wait to go back again!

This place is still busy during lunch. Owing to how many people dig it. I got the Hot (not extra hot, not reaper). Three tenders. One was spot on. The other two seemed a bit hotter. These things happen. Taste was quite good and I've traveled to Nashville and Houston a few times so I'm comparing to some serious sites. Staff was super professional. Very polite and much better than 90% of restaurants out there. Hats off to these guys.

Foods been amazing both times I came. Sizeable chicken, crunchy almost Korean fried chicken style, tons of seasoning and flavor. The only complaint is that the fries have Cajun seasoning on them so there's not a lot of reprieve from the hot chicken. Would love more slaw and sauce, but you can always request such! Love the extra pickles!

Easy parking, very fast food format, interesting to order level of "heat" on the chicken, ordered to go, seemed to be a lot of people standing around? The cash register employs the despised "what level tip do you want to leave?" prompt which is annoying when there is no "service" per se. Food is hot with the requested level of spice. It's not as clean and shiny as a couple of the other chicken places, but the food is better.

Finally got around to trying Dave's Hot Chicken and it's definitely what MN has been missing for a while. Right away- I think the 2 sliders option is superior to all others. The reason is because the buns for the sliders are so soft and sweet that it completes each bit with the spicy tender in between. My go to spice level is spicy and that does the job. When you don't order the sliders, the tenders will come with a plain piece of white bread, which I I find so odd. Not toasted, not buttered, nothing. Just a plain old piece of dry white sliced bread :( I think that alone will ruin anyone's meal. The fries in my opinion are trash. I think the seasoning on them isn't doing the job. A dash of salt is all they really need to be honest. I will say the firmness and how well they're fried does make a good fry. Instead I would recommend swapping the fries for Mac n cheese!!!! Dave's sauce is also good and I like that you can ask for more without being taxed! The lines have finally died down a bit so no more 30- minute wait times inside is kinda tight but they do have outside seating as well.

After hearing about the long lines and hype about this place I had to try it. My wife and I both really like fried chicken. This did not live up to our expectations. We were told even the mild is super spicy, but we didn't feel like it was. We both thought there was too much batter used. And there wasn't a very flavorful taste to the chicken. The fries were pretty good and the sauce was ok. Overall we much prefer Raising Caines but this is a decent alternative. Worth trying once to see if your tastebuds like it better than ours.

Among other things, they have really good-looking rice, spices, dates, tea and coffee, and biscuits. For our meal, I had the shakshouka with malawah (Somali-style pancakes) and my husband had the Buskati with rice. Both meals came with really yummy sauces, and we were pleasantly surprised that my husband's meal included a juice (there's a choice of mango, Vimto, and guava juice). The in-store dining is casual: bar stools and a counter looking out onto the street. Fine by us --sometimes quick and easy is just what you need, especially when you're catching a movie, are on your lunch break, or are running errands. Now to what matters most: the food. Delicious!! My malawah were so good that we ordered another four to go. They're basically like crepes -- delicate, flavorful, and slightly sweetened. The kind of treat I'd say yes to any day. My husband really liked his beef, which looked like a pretty fresh, lean cut and appeared to have some kind of spice rub on it. His rice was amazing; spiced with cardamom, I think. We also got a bag of mixed homemade cookies. The one we tried before even leaving the place was like a shortbread with coconut in it. I often have to go across town to get the spices and dates I like, so I'm so glad this place is just around the corner. We'll definitely be back for dinner too, especially since the manager was all smiles. What a great addition to Hopkins!

They offer whole chicken, boneless and regular wings in 14 different seasoning, (Not all of the seasonings are available for the whole chicken) along with a big variety of sides. As we looked over the menu a staff member greeted us and let us look at the menu for a bit and then offered to answer any questions. We asked about a couple of the flavor options, they offered us a small sample of the seasoning to help us decide. We chose the small honey garlic wings and a small Gangnam style wings. A small is 8 wings, a medium is 16 wings and a large is 24 wings. The wings themselves are good sized. We also ordered the cheesling fries which was also a very generous portion. The wings were very crisp and hot when they came out. The kept there crunch through our whole meal! I was impressed that the breading didn't start to get soggy. The Gangnam Style was sweet and salty with a little spiciness. It was spicy for me, but very tasty. I would be able to enjoy a couple pieces but the heat would eventually get to be too much for me. The honey garlic had no spicy rating. They were a nice complement to the spicy option we chose. This is a small restaurant with about 15 tables. It appears to be pressure cooked finished off with a tomato and onion stir-fry, the crunch of the onions pairs well with the tenderness of the goat.
