The terrible immoral car professionals that you thought only existed in late night cartoons?…read moreThey're real and they own and operate Fallon Ford. If I could leave a rating with negative two stars, I would. I brought my car here in July of 2023 to get serviced for a recall on the power steering. I needed to get these repairs done before driving back to Oregon for school at the end of August. I made an appointment for two weeks from the day (better than the two months I would have had to wait for it to be fixed in Reno or Carson) and was told "we'll get you taken care of." I am not strong enough to drive without power steering, so my fiancé drove us out to Fallon (over an hour without power steering, which was scary and difficult) Appointment day comes, yes, the power steering is out, but you'll have to wait another month for a fix because they have to order the part. Previously I had been assured it would be fixed that day. So at this point it is unsafe to drive my car for almost a month. We drive again out to Fallon for a 9 AM appointment. They told us it would be about 4 hours to wait and we were encouraged to leave and come back. We left and killed time in a local park and got lunch. 3.5 hours later, we called to get an update to see if 4 hours was still an accurate estimate, and couldn't get through to anyone on the phone, despite calling multiple times and different departments. So we walked back, only to be told it'll probably be another 45 minutes or so, because they actually hadn't started on the car yet because of a miscommunication between the office and the mechanic. The guy we were talking to said "look I'm not going to make excuses, we didn't start it because usually we prioritize the people who are waiting around instead of leaving and coming back." Which was, in itself, an excuse. If you're not going to prioritize the car of the people who had a morning appointment, don't give people a timeline. They knew we weren't local and had driven together. It wasn't like I was just going home to wait, we weren't local and were just biding time eating lunch in the Safeway deli and sitting in the park. It ended up being an additional two hours waiting in the dealership for the car to be done, bringing the total to two appointments and the second appointment being an almost 7 hour wait, plus driving time to and from Reno, with excuses made left and right. I didn't make a fuss or anything but felt very disrespected and frustrated. They give us two carwash tokens "for the trouble and misunderstanding." We take them to the carwash, they aren't valid and we can't use them. To top it off, I received a voicemail (Which I saved and still have) a few weeks later, the week I was getting ready to move telling me that they had forgotten to take a picture of a part they had used, and would I be willing to drive back out to Fallon for them to get a picture? Sorry, but my previous experience doesn't exactly entice me to drive an hour and a half both ways to wait around for three hours for you guys to take a picture, and spend that money on the gas while prepping for a move. I understand that I was getting recall repairs done and you weren't making money from my services, so maybe there wasn't the need or the drive to go above and beyond to try and make up for the inconvenience of waiting almost a full workday for a repair that was supposed to take a handful of hours. It is now three years later: power steering is out again. We have since relocated: our local ford dealer tells us that the person who fixed it previously used an aftermarket part, and the entire unit now needs to be replaced. Since an aftermarket part was used, it does not qualify to be fixed under the recall, and we have to pay $4400 for an entirely new power steering unit. So they managed to screw us again three years later.

I called the dealership for assistance obtaining a car contract from 2023 for my relative, who was recently involved in a car accident in Reno. I explained everything to Chad and provided the necessary information. About 20 minutes later, Chad personally called me back to let me know the documents had been emailed and to confirm that I received them. I went to Fernley Dolan only because I knew Louie Mori and had seen his incredibly informative…read moresocial media posts. Louie is the most honest, authentic person in the auto industry. He is transparent, knowledgeable, charismatic ... while also maintaining kindness and empathy. I brought a very specific need to him, and he helped while also being patient. Dolan Auto Group should really take a few pages from Louie's book and hire more product specialists like him. He conducts himself in a manner that I would consider the gold standard. Life is about people and Louie cares about people. You don't have to be dishonest and deceive people to get them to buy something, like the finance department did in my "deal". Make sure you take your time when signing their documents on the tablet they hand you. And wear your glasses if your eyesight is poor. Just be sure you can read all the numbers. Even when I asked for my documents to be printed, I was told, "these don't leave the dealership". It wasn't until I printed my own documents that were sent to me via email, that I realized they did not honor the advertised sale price on the tag - which I still have. This was roughly a $4,000 difference, plus tax. I don't know anyone who can afford to be deceived for that amount of money. I wonder how many times that has happened to other people. Finance works hard to cram extra warranties down your throat and when you decline, the finance person has to explain to someone in management why the customer declined. We all know there is a small kickback for from the warranty companies for selling the warranty. Maybe the $4,000 difference was retaliation from the finance department for me declining the extra warranty and this is how they make up for not selling the warranty. Don't be afraid to be a wise consumer and ask as many questions as you need to feel comfortable with the "deal" before you sign. Louie doesn't need to abandon his morals or integrity to earn your business. But the other people on his team need to treat his customers with more integrity. Dolan needs to do better by Louie AND by their customers. Dolan is gaining repeat customers and positive social media presence - BECAUSE of Louie. Maybe a solution is to make Louie a partner or General Manager, and he can improve their business practices. People might forget what you say, but they rarely forget how you make them feel.

Seriously the most disinterested, unauthentic service advisors EVER!…read more We had our Grand Cherokee turn itself off while driving at 80mph in the middle of nowhere on highway 80. We made it to a mechanic in Battle Mountain who ran diagnostics but didn't get any codes. They found that my truck ( w/28,000 miles) has dark trans fluid. We called our home Jeep dealership (Walnut Creek Jeep) who had us make our way into Fernley. Our Walnut Creek guy called ahead letting them know that we were coming and explained our problem. When we got to Fernley the service advisor (a large gentleman) acted like he had no idea why we were there. We presented him with the paperwork from the BM mechanic and his response was literally "Well, there wasn't anything recorded so what do you want us to do?". When we told him that the BM mechanic had noted dark transmission fluid, we got an education about how our truck has a closed system and the previous guy "didn't know what he was talking about". Thankfully another advisor came over and he and my husband started talking about something MY HUSBAND read about on the web about updating a module. We paid to have the module updated and moved on. We won't be back to Fernley Jeep!

If I could choose zero stars, I would. My husband and I have given the owner of Family Motors in…read moreDayton, Nevada, every chance possible to do the right thing and refund our $3,000 we've paid to date (and owe more as he offered to carry the balance) on an overpriced tin can of a truck held together by duct tape. Four days after we foolishly agreed to pay a thousand dollars over what the price was promised to be, the utility truck we got my husband to make his job easier actually broke down at the dealership while having a "free" cleaning. I was there nearly three hours waiting for the truck to be detailed at the owner's behest, when in all actuality, the truck would not start. When the owner finally showed back up and took me to the truck, I tipped the cleaner all the money I had just to be lied to about why the mechanic was under the hood. Everyone excluding me from the truth by speaking Spanish among themselves, I demand they speak English. I understood the to owner telling his staff she would need to drive me home. Of course the owner denied saying that. He shoved gas money in my face and to keep an eye on the fuel gauge. It was 100 degrees out and I am a 60 year old fat lady. I told the owner to go put fuel in it if it wasn't going to break down. His mechanic pretended not to understand English when I confronted him about the condition of the truck, but the staff told me he understood and spoke English. I told the owner I didn't believe him and he needed to fix whatever was wrong with the truck (we even made our payment when it was broke down at the dealership). I drove it home fearful the entire 15 miles. It ran for 10 days after that. Then every time you stepped on the gas, it died. My 65 year old husband had to drive it home one afternoon in102 degree heat (when he found out the A/C didn't work. It took him nearly three hours to go 18 miles. It sat at home three weeks before his mechanic came out and told us it had to go to the shop. It was two more weeks before the tow truck came and it was at the dealership another month. We told the owner repeatedly to give us our $3,000 back. He said we bought it as is and still owed him another $1600. He said he could get $7,000 for it but he was giving us a deal. They ended up dumping the truck in our front yard after calling to say it was in worse shape than before. It is runs but barely. The engine light stays on and the motor makes a loud banging noise. My husband's bosses certified mechanics hooked it up to a $35000 diagnostic machine and it needs $2,800 worth of work. The owner had told my husband to take the truck to his mechanic and he would pay to have it fixed. My husband took him the work order today and again asked for our money back. All the owner did was talk in circles and in Spanish again to his staff. His office staff also pretended to be so nice when I'd bring a payment on the truck, but made rude remarks about me to my husband today by while he was at the dealership on trying to get by our money back again. His office staff lives with the mechanic, and was the one who told me about his speaking English. The owner told me he can do anything he wants at his dealership, and was laughing at me the entire time. God only knows how he came to own 19 homes in the Lyon County and Carson City areas that are all rentals. He and his family are from Mexico. He does not care about lying or cheating people, since it is to his advantage. We are an old couple and are in debt on this truck that is near beyond being able to be fixed, and we certainly do not have another $3,000 to fix it. The owner continues to refuse to do the right thing and cancel the contract and give us our money back. My husband has lost hundreds of dollars not having his tools available and a reliable work truck. His boss has also lost money because of it. When I text the owner's cell phone number he gave me in case I ended up on the side of the road that day I had to drive the truck home, and insisted he give us our money back, he threatened me with bodily injuries. This is a warning to the public. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY HIS KIND PERSONA; THE OWNER OF FAMILY MOTORS IN DAYTON NEVADA IS A THIEF, A CHEAT AND A LIAR. Do not believe a word he says, and please do not buy a used car from him (or anything else for that matter). He acts like he is owed everything he gets, takes, swindles out of unsuspecting victims; shaking your hand sticking a knife in your back with the other hand at the same time, and laughing all the way to the bank. Stay away from Family Motors in Dayton, Nevada. All the reviews on Google are names of the owner's relatives. Mine is the only one that is real.

Do not ever go to this dealership to buy a used car. The owner is Jorge Mendoza and he is the worst…read moreof the worst. Please heed my warning. My elderly husband bought a utility truck from this man. He gave him all our savings plus we owe more, as Mr. Mendoza offered his own financing. Mr. Mendoza had told us one price, then went in to sign papers and it was several thousand more, but he would finance the balance. My husband saw this truck as something that would haul all of his trade tools for work plus make him money as he retires. He made his choice based on Mr. Mendoza's word that the truck had been rebuilt from the ground up. I supported his decision against my better judgment. Mr. Mendoza portrays himself as a trustworthy family man, bring in his wife and kids for the contract signing. Mr. Mendoza is from Mexico and yet has somehow gained 19 rental homes. Not even the elite have 19 rental homes. Something isn't right. Sending vehicles to Mexico as donations and having various illegals drive them out of the Country. He says he can do anything he wants in our Country, including operate a shoddy used car dealership. Four days after purchasing the truck, it broke down on his lot while being cleaned "for free." I demanded they speak English as three men including his mechanic were all looking under the hood. He lied to me then again after telling his secretary she would have to give me a ride home (in spanish), which I understood. Two weeks later it broke down on my husband. Three weeks it sat in our parking lot. We still made the payments. After demanding our money back repeatedly, Mr. Mendoza threatened me with physical violence. Yesterday after having the truck at his lot over a month, he dumped it off in our parking lot and had stolen the safety light off the utility bed and all the wiring. It was the only thing that worked. He had the contract changed adding an "as is" clause after my husband signed it. We are now having his dealership investigated by the Federal Government and still do not have our over $3,000 back. Thus man is a danger to society. A wolf in sheep's clothing. Stay clear from thus business at all cost.
