They looked at it within minutes of my arrival and saw it was a problem with corrosion on my battery. Cleaned it up and shrugged when I asked how much to pay. First off they charged $200 to even diagnosis my car. After not even saying they charged. Claiming it took "2 hours" of labor to diagnosis my car. BULL SHIT. Right away I knew something was very wrong. Then they said they were going to charge me 800$ for my repairs. I reluctantly paid the $200 and instantly brought my car to another local repair shop. They new repair shop is charging me $300 for my repairs that they claimed was going to cost near $1000. Save your money go anywhere else.

I was already in $600 for the steering column, which did not fix the clunking noise coming from the front end. They told me for another $1300 I needed to replace the rack and pinion. They were supposedly discounting the $600 I already put into the steering column. Basically a $2,000 job. Well, wrong diagnosis! The team at Taber said I just needed to replace the sway bar bushings. I told them to go ahead and replace the stabilizer arms while they were in there. My RAV 4 has 152K+ miles, so might as well for an extra $100 bucks. The cost of the repair was $330--compare that to $2,000 for a misdiagnosed repair. I am also getting the $600 refunded after contacting the repair shop on the original work.
