Long story short, she was NOT helpful in any way - merely an order taker. I couldn't make heads or tail of their website - but I knew exactly what I wanted. I looked elsewhere for a vendor to no avail. Even if I had ordered with the online company, I would have had to install myself or find an installer. So I turned to Yelp . . . I have had MUCH success with Yelp finding excellent service and skilled providers. I entered the details of what I wanted and submitted the project for response. I got maybe 4 companies contacting me - one being Eric Call Contracting. This company asked to schedule some time to talk - and so we did. All the other responses merely asked if I HAD the deck covering as they just wanted to install it. None would entertain the idea of helping me source the deck cover. Eric and Angie showed up when they said they would and we began to talk. I explained what I wanted, showed the brochure from the home and garden show, showed them our deck - and they went to work. Eric tried to work with the awning company I had wanted to buy from - but he got nowhere despite being more persistent than me. Eric still understood what I wanted - a permanent frame that would attach to and extend up from the deck with canvas runners that we would open and pull shut and remove in the winter. We would also be able to replace the runners should they get damaged. Eric drew up a design and shared it with me - along with possible runners he found on Amazon. We had a lot of back and forth and they were great keeping in touch. I finally decided to go with them despite having no other bids for comparison. Clearly no one else wanted to do the work needed to get me the deck covering I wanted. I signed on the dotted line and cut a check to get the project started. Again, Eric and Angie did a great job of communicating with me and providing updates. Although working through Yelp does provide some financial protection, I was still nervous going with the first company I contacted. But they definitely earned my trust - the materials showed as promised. And work began as promised, and before I knew it, my vision of a deck covering had materialized! Our deck is on the back/south side of the house. There are no trees or shading so we fight to keep the house cool on sunny days. We had recently replaced a large, rust painted deck with a smaller light treated wood deck. Now with this covering, we are already enjoying not having to turn on the A/C as much, leaving the back door open for a breeze, and actually being able to sit on our deck when the sun is hot. We've also been able to pull the runners closed when a windy storm hit. And in the winter, I'll take the runners down to protect them and allow full sun in the cold temperatures. I cannot say enough about how I appreciated the work this company did. I highly recommend you contact them when you have a project.

I recommend ECC without hesitation.

We had to wait several months for construction to begin, but the rainy summer was the contributing factor. Once they started, they were here until completion which was 6 working days. Last April (2025), I hired them to replace the 30 year old wood deck (also Suncraft) on the back of my house with (mostly) composite. The sales and design phase were fine, John offered several excellent suggestions. Jeff, the owner, is an extremely unlikable, overbearing, condescending, arrogant know-it-all who doesn't understand basic physics. The ground under the deck is sloped and I clearly said not to use fine pea gravel under the deck because it would wash out during heavy rain. How do I know? Because that's what happened with the first Suncrap deck and it ruined my lawn for years. Well they used fine gravel and over the winter it slid downhill and pushed the wooden skirt under the deck out of alignment by a couple inches. Jeff couldn't understand how that happened, wasn't very interested in fixing it and I got him to push back the gravel and the wall. I suggested covering the gravel with plastic to cut down on the settling and he refused, but he told me he'd leave plastic and I could do it myself. Really? He didn't. So the problem that didn't exist before the Suncraft Touch is now oozing down the slope and I have to deal with this fiasco created by Jeff because he doesn't listen to customer input. The actual workmanship by the crew is subpar, to be polite. Poor joinery, the rail cap is a deck board screwed to the rail (and that's an "upgrade") The rail ends look unfinished and bush league. They built the stairs over a very obvious sprinkler head that required an emergency callout to my sprinkler company ($200). The deck failed final inspection on THREE counts. By the time they fixed that, it was mid-September. Been "doing this a long time" and can't pass a building inspection? There's a bunch of other stuff, I could fill a couple pages. To sum up: For $28k, you get a crappy deck and a slow moving gravelanche under it to deal with for the rest of your life. In our conversations covering 15 minutes total Jeff told me repeatedly he'd "been doing this a long time." And this is the best you can do? Really, look elsewhere. Anywhere else.

From the initial consultations to each skilled laborer that we invited into our home, Fry Contracting exemplified professionalism and care. I felt completely secure leaving my home in their hands, which in some cases involved building temporary walls and having 10-12 people working simultaneously. The craftsmanship was superb, and my family is thrilled with the results. Specifically, we rebuilt a kitchen pantry and moved a wall, finished a 3-seasons room by replacing the posts and installing new windows and flooring, and created a panoramic window wall with oversized new windows. I recommend Bob Fry and Eric Call to anyone looking to complete a home remodeling project.

I would like to start off by saying, all-in-all, I was happy with the work that was done. I would definitely use them again if I needed similar services needed in the future, or anything else they provide work on. Really, the only downside was the amount of time, from initial contact to when the actual work was completed took longer than expected. There was mentioned a personal emergency, which I understand, and that they didn't want to schedule too many jobs in advance in case something runs over or a contractor is unexpectedly unavailable. But my initial contact took place on 10/24 and a contract wasn't sent over for me to review and return until 11/4, then I wasn't contacted to schedule an appointment until 11/20. So, while I would have liked to been kept in contact more, I am glad to say I was very happy with the work done. I would probably recommend calling the company, rather than using the website/email; that might provide a quicker turnaround. I just hate calling folks, so I avoid it when possible! Now on to the actual work. The contractor arrived on time, and looked professional. He was also courteous and didn't mind my cats, which is a bonus since they tend to be super nosy with visitors. He arrived around the ETA I was given, and was quick to ask what all I needed done. I showed him the three items we needed help with, and he said he would be able to get it all done. He got to work right away. I ended up needing to leave for work a little after he arrived, but my husband said he was great the entire time I was gone too. It wasn't until a few hours later that I came home to inspect everything. The toilet no longer constantly runs, my caulking job looks perfect, and I have a nice new showerhead instead of what was left over from the previous owners! The initial contact went a little slow, but I am very happy with the overall results, thus my rating. The hourly rate was a little higher than I expected, but I knew it ahead of time. I'm just glad he got done quickly; they definitely don't mess around or try to pad their timesheet, and for that I am grateful. I definitely recommend Punch Out Plus, LLC.

Mostly good, but several workmanship issues…read more Creekside Coverings recently completed our outdoor stair reconfiguration project, transforming our straight stairway into a more functional design with a landing and a 90-degree turn onto a paver patio. While the team finished on schedule, the final result revealed some craftsmanship challenges. The project's core functionality meets our expectations. However, in our opinion, certain details fall short of what we would consider more commonly-used construction practices. Key observations follow. 1. The deck planks on the landing are installed parallel to the support joists. This necessitated the addition of blocking between the joists. The blocking was added after the deck planks were secured to the landing frame. In addition, the decking appears to be fastened only to the landing's frame, without direct attachment to the joists or blocking. 2. The newly-constructed landing appears to have been designed without sufficient attention to detail, in our opinion. The shape of the landing necessitated the placement of an additional railing post adjacent to an existing post on the landing to properly secure the bottom section staircase railing. 3. The two new posts on the new landing are slightly different in size than the original posts, and their caps do not match the existing post caps. The contractor mentioned these items to us after they were already installed on the stairway, and he told us that they would not affect functionality. With attention to the observations above, this would easily be a five star project.
