Not Jared-- he sleuthed the problems, promptly repaired them, and taught us about the type of system we had and how to best maintain it (we're new owners of the property last year). He also noted that no one told us about a second cover for another chamber that existed that the other company never pumped (wasn't on a riser, but he bothered to look and find out, not just pump and run). He didn't overcharge or up-sell anything. In fact, he saved us thousands of dollars. Trustworthy and very professional, also easy going and easy to talk to. A big plus. They told me more troubleshooting was needed. Dailey Electric identified two (2) problems in less than 15 minutes. The Finger Lakes Power Systems tech who is certified and factory-trained with 8 years experience did not discover a blown fuse in the transfer switch in 3+ hours. Dailey discovered the blown fuse in the transfer switch in 5 minutes. The Finger Lakes Power Systems tech who is certified and factory-trained with 8 years experience did not discover that the controller was melted in 3+ hours. Dailey discovered the melted controller in 5 minutes. The Finger Lakes Power Systems tech who is certified and factory-trained with 8 years experience could NOT FIX the problem in 3+ hours! Dailey FIXED the problem in less than 2 hours. FLPS billed me for $950.00 + in labor, while not repairing the unit in 3 visits. Dailey billed me for $250.00 in labor, and fixed the unit in 2 visits. FLPS charges $250.00 per hour. This includes travel time! Dailey charges $125.00 per hour. Travel time is excluded. The Finger Lakes Power Systems tech who is certified and factory-trained with 8 years experience recommended replacing the entire unit for more than $15K. Dailey repaired the unit, which is functioning perfectly today. A savings to me of over $14K!!!! Since Dailey fixed the problem in under 2 hrs while the Finger Lakes Power Systems tech who is certified and factory-trained with 8 years experience NEVER did figure out what was wrong, I requested a full refund from Tara Barnhart, the Service Manager. She refused. I paid FLPS' bill by credit card. I immediately disputed FLPS' charge on my credit card on 7/1/2026. The credit card company contacted FLPS on 7/3/2026, 7/15/2026, 7/30/2026, 8/4/2026, 8/14/2026. FLPS owner, Mr. Dan Lewis, DID NOT RESPOND to any of the five (5) repeated requests from the credit card company. The credit card refunded the money I paid, in full, on 9/9/2026. Lessons learned: 1. If you don't really care about getting your generator fixed and have money to burn, Finger Lakes Power Systems is the company for you. They employ techs who are certified and factory-trained with 8 years experience, but who cannot diagnose simple problems quickly or in a cost effective manner. 2. If you would like to spend a reasonable amount of money for a quick and permanent fix by a competent technician: USE DAILEY Electric in Penn Yan!!!!!

Brought my $2500 Martin guitar to them in early April as they are an authorized Martin repair…read morecenter and they were close to me. Yelp reviews were positive. The issue was low "E" string buzz that was accentuated by the neck relief. We talked about possibly removing some frets at the twelfth fret and planing the neck to level it. Tim said it could six weeks until he could get to the repair, which seemed Ok as I was in no hurry. I also wanted the tuners replaced as the original tuners were starting to come apart. The estimated worst case cost for all the work was $500-$600 dollars. No problem as I wanted the work done right. Fast forward 12 weeks to the beginning of July. When I called, they said they had replaced the tuners and surprisingly the neck had straightened itself out, probably due to humidity changes and a slight truss rod adjustment, so no neck work had to be done. Now they were waiting for a replacement saddle to raise the strings a bit. Two weeks later, still no guitar. Again, I had to call to get them to light a fire under the saddle distributor. Two more weeks and I finally get the guitar back. Not only is it unplayable as the saddle Tim had to "customize" was way too high, but there are multiple scratches in the head around each new tuner. While the final talley was $90, slow service, lack of follow-up and sloppy workmanship equals a crappy review. Please take your valued instrument elsewhere for repair.

Felco pruners are so expensive that it was completely worth it. You just fill out a form, mail out the pruners and after they tell you the price (in my case, it was only a few days after I sent them out!) and you complete the transaction over the phone. I got them back very soon after that. I'm very happy and I'm sure my roses are delighted.

We originally had contacted Rebecca to do all the florals for our upcoming wedding. Rebecca then agreed to meet halfway between our new venue and herself where we would pick up the florals on the day of the wedding, which would have been fine. Then between May and September (4 months), she emailed me out of the blue saying that she did not think it would be possible for her to meet us halfway any longer. I questioned and wondered why she had agreed many months ago to this agreement; she claimed it would be in our best interest to come pick up the florals 4 hours away from our venue the night before since she no longer was going to meet us halfway. I explained this would be nearly impossible with a rehearsal dinner and other obligations. She advised for me to talk to my fiancé about the situation and we hung up. A short 3 hours later, she emailed me again, telling me she was cancelling our contract and giving me my deposit back and it was for "our best interest". She did not even give me the dignity of a phone call to explain any of this, only an email. My fiancé decided to call her an hour after she cancelled to see what was going on since it was mostly happening over email and did not make much sense. Only a couple minutes in after my fiancé asking Rebecca a few questions, he was abruptly interrupted and she rudely explained that we must be too stressed out, have too much on our plates, and she was the one helping us even though we would had to find a new florist less than a year until the big day. She then said that she did not care that we were upset with her, she would not listen to any of our concerns, and then hung up the phone on my fiancé without any further conversation. I cannot believe anyone in the service industry would treat a client this way. I would never consider using Foote Florals for any event.
