The food the service it all sucks. Made a reservation for 3:30 PM today for two son's birthday. The server was very nonchalant if you would not very professional or anything he took drinks he bought drinks. It seemed like he rushed us like to get in and get out and we were there to play games and have dinner and just have a good time, but it was the worst decision I made. As a mother who was trying to do something my kids I will never take my kids back over there at first I ordered a shrimp and fish baskets. He waited several minutes later to tell me they didn't have the shrimp or fish basket. By this time we had our appetizers he would not give me time to look at the menu so my husband suggested that I get a steak. I ordered the steak medium well. I don't eat potatoes so I asked for a salad. He didn't even asked me what dressing. So they took a salad to my table with only ranch dressing, which I cannot eat. I asked for balsamic they took it to me to make a long story show. We seen our server three times during the whole event, he never refill glass or anything. I did see him a few times having a good time with his coworkers doing everything but assisting us. The mistake I ate over there was horribly done. It was burnt. All you taste is burnt seasoning are burned when you taste. I tried to eat it, but I could not. I told him that my steak was burnt and overcook and I needed to speak to the manager. He just looked at me so I then 15 minutes late. I asked for my check. He left 15 minutes later again I had to go and get with the hostess to see if he could give me my check which he did 18% gratuity is something he did not deserve. He did not deserve any kind of gratuity but his hourly pay because he didn't do a damn thing for my family. I thought this place would've been a good fit for my family but never ever again will I pay $25.48 for a burnt steak and you have a place with service sucks management don't give a damn and my money will stay in my pocket after driving an hour and 17 minutes to have dinner with my family at this ghetto Dave & Buster. We have been wanting to try a Dave and Busters, and it was everything we expected. It was busy however there was not a wait for a table, and we received our drinks quickly, server was great also, the wait for the meal was long, but was good. The Buster bacon burger was good, along with the mushroom burger nice flavor. I hope things improve because it's such a treat to have these types of places in our town! However, our experience was not great. We went to D&B for my son's 14th birthday with a few of his friends and some family members-16 of us in all. We all ordered separately as family groups and I personally paid for my son and his friends, so we had 3 or 4 different bills. I ordered the $39.99 package for each of the kids which included an entree, drink and play card. When the server came to collect our payments, she just verbally says, "your total is 300 (whatever the rest was), I forget-no digital receipt, no paper receipt, just her word that I owed $300+ as she nudges her device to me to insert my card. I asked for a hard copy of my check so I could review my itemized receipt, which I always do give it a quick glance. She was visibly annoyed with my request. None of received a receipt/check to review before we closed out. I went ahead and paid deciding that if it was incorrect I would settle it afterwards. When I finally did receive the receipt it was absolutely confusing. Instead of charging me for the $34.99/kid package, each item in the package was listed individually. We were charged extra for 4 sodas at $4 each when the drinks were included in the packages we bought. When I spoke to the manager he told me "the problem is, I'm getting conflicting stories between you and your server". He also stated that the over charge for the drinks could not be corrected unless I come at a different time to address it with his manager. I'm not taking time out of my life for that. We asked for a game card as sort of a compensation, which he did give us. The kids all had a really fun time in the games as the atmosphere is exciting and my son had a memorable birthday at the place he chose. I enjoyed the smash burger and my husband enjoyed the boneless wings. All the kids enjoyed their meals, as well. But, if we go again, it will be to the arcade, not for the dining experience due to the pay out confusion and what we felt was a poor response from the server and manager. I still don't understand how my bill came out to almost $350 with what we ordered. Oh well... Again, I hope someone can get in there and turn the restaurant part around because looking at the reviews I'm concerned it won't make it here. read more

I visited on a busy Saturday. The games were plentiful. The wait on tables was 2 hours. I'd recommend making a reservation if you're in a rush to eat. The Mac and Cheese was watery and cold but otherwise good. It could have been a little thicker. Chicken club was good but was lacking in flavor. The burgers were very good. Been to many Dave and Busters around the country and had to rate this one, 2 stars. Now, keep in mind that it was a Saturday at 4pm. First and foremost, the eating area is wayyyyy too small. Period. Walked in and the hostess (not very friendly, by the way) asked if we wanted a table or just to play. We asked for a table and she said that there was a 5 1/2 hour wait. YES - You read that correctly. lol. I put our name down, (it was 4:11pm). I know this because they send you a confirmation text. We then went play. Left the playing area around 7 because we were hungry. Finally at 9:21pm (we were already home and in bed), I received a text saying that our table was ready. BRUH!!!! It was really a 5 hour wait. Wayyyyyyy too small for Lafayette!!!!! Second reason for my 2 star rating: The kids were playing and the wife and I went grab a drink at the bar. Sat down, did the ole head nod at the bartender and looked at the menu. 15 minutes later, the bar tender still hadn't even asked us for our order. Another 5 minutes pass by, and after he took the order from the people who sat next to us, I finally asked if we could order a drink. Then that took another 10 minutes (no joke) to fix 2 drinks and cash us out. BRUH. Third reason: It was way too crowded. Every-time we'd go play a game, someone would jump on it before I could get my little girl (2 years old) out of the stroller. I mean, this is expected, because it's new, but still. Damn. Her patience and diligence in correcting our orders was top tier. I'm going to give D&B grace because I understand they just opened maybe a week or so ago however, our experience was horrible from the moment we walked in the door. From the over booked reservation to the 1hr wait for drinks and the 2 hr wait for food. And the food we did receive was horrible. Wings were overly salted, burgers were dry and the fries were over seasoned as well. Hell the best thing at the table was the ice chips in the water. With that being said, Shase and Savannah did an awesome job of taking care of us. They are the only reason we're considering giving Dave & Busters another chance. read more

Reservations were made at least two weeks before attending. Attended with a group of less than 50 kids and about 15 adult chaperones. We arrived at 7 pm on a Thursday. The servers for the buffet were very pleasant and worked well with our group. However, several of the chaperones did not wish to eat from the buffet. Three of us sat at a booth and after 10 minutes were told we could not sit there because it was reserved for someone else. I walk with a cane and have difficulty sitting at the "high-top" tables. When I mentioned we were ordering from the menu, I was still told we could not sit there. The accommodations they wanted to make were to move several of the children in order to lower a table. Therefore, the kids would not only be crowded at other tables, they had already begun eating. I decided I would not order anything and sat on a bench near the front entrance while I waited for my group to finish. While I was waiting for my group, the hostess and two of the servers would make comments about me sitting there. I sat on the bench because it offered better seating for me and I was not disrupting their "reservation." At 8:30 pm, a small group came in and the hostess brought them to a different booth, then moved the group to the table the other patrons and myself had been sitting. YES, almost 90 minutes later. I'm not complaining about the food (I didn't eat), the games/playtime (I didn't play), nor the service given to our large group. The behaviors of the hostess and a few of the servers were inappropriate. I have been to Dave and Buster's in New Orleans, which gets very busy, so I know this is not a corporate issue. This place is what it is. It's a place to take your kids to play games and you can also get a decent meal. The food came out hot, but nothing special. My daughter and I split the appetizer sampler. It was kind of overpriced for what we got. $31 for 3 sliders, 4 wings, and 5 pigs in a blanket. We had fun playing games though. The server we had was very nice. The fried food was already old when it arrived to the table, I was overcharged for several items in comparison to what was listed on the menu, and when the waitress arrived at the table for payment I was told the total and she asked for my card, without any printout to see my charges. I have never experienced this at any restaurant or place of service for that matter. There was no table kiosk, nothing. No opportunity to see my bill. When I asked for a printout of my tab, the waitress became visibly annoyed. Approximately 30 minutes later, I was given the bill for me to see myself. To top it off, I was charged twice (I get immediate notifications of charges on my account, on my phone). When I asked about the double charge (well over 100 dollars), I was told that it "should" be corrected in 3-5 business days. I recently visited Dave & Buster's, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. As someone who values high-quality customer service and coming from Las Vegas Nevada where service is already set at a high standard, I was appalled by the lack of professionalism and care exhibited by the staff. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued guests. When offered a booth it was immediately rejected and told none were available. After further observation, majority of booths were open just dirty. Our time while waiting for some service, the booths were never attended by staff to be cleaned. Observing the staff, they had at least 10-15 team members standing in the back area laughing and practically in their own world. After settling down at a table we waited for a very long time which is about 15 minutes before we were ever attended. We did have an infant with us so we decided to just leave due to the lack of service we received. I should point out that at a place of establishment, you are expected to wait due to busy hours. This was not our case it was just us and another family sitting in the whole dining area. Would love to give a second try when I come back but service definitely needs an upgrade. read more
