What a fun night with the family! We came here to celebrate my birthday as I had mentioned in passing that I had never been here before. Very cool experience! The food was good! We ordered pretzels and nachos for apps. They have a happy hour that goes from 5-7p so we took advantage of that. They run a lot of game and food combos which is what the family chose to do. My half rack of ribs were fantastic. I would compare it to upscale bar food. Our server seemed relatively new. She had a hard time with the IPad and taking our orders. My wife tried ordering an Aperol Spritz which was on the menu but had some ingredients to asked not to be part of the drink, and she brought out a glass of just Aperol. The manager stopped by our table and we walked away with a free appetizer and a complimentary 100 chips, which was very kind. All in all, I don't have any complaints. The games were all fun. There were a lot of interactive and multiplayer games which was a lot of fun for the family. This is the most poorly run bar and restaurant I have ever stepped foot in. Whoever manages this establishment should be embarrassed. From Kitchen to bar staff, no training. The bar was sticky, no table was cleared. So disgusting. Gross. Deplorable. The food was awful. When it finally did come they informed us what I ordered wasn't available. Went here to celebrate my husband's 32 birthday and it was like being kids again! We had so much fun as a family. We started with dinner at the restaurant and utilized the dine and play special which was awesome. We started with some pretzels and they were tasty. Our waitress did struggle a little with the tablet they used to order and was not very familiar with bar drinks. But after a little confusion I ordered some wine and we were on our way! I ordered the sliders which were basic but good. The food is nothing write home about but pairing it with the game cards makes it all worth it. The manager kindly explained all the games to us and gave us a free app and some free game chips which was super nice! After dinner, we all bopped around to different games and had a blast challenging each other and working towards winning tickets. Such a fun place for a group or a date night! We had the worst time here. On a very special day. We had a reservation for 11 for my daughter's 11th birthday. To start, when we got there, our table wasn't ready (no biggie) It was last night, a Monday night - and there were barely any other patrons. 3 of our 11 were infants/toddlers. 2 were young children. & 6 adults. Our waiter was barely around, but when he was, he was very friendly and nice (no complains about him as a person) HOWEVER - the service was a mess. Every single one of our dishes, minus the two adults that got pasta dishes, were COLD. not even.. lukewarm. Fries, cold. Burger, cold. Buffalo chicken sandwich, cold. Kids meals? COLD. Could serve the toddlers their food right away (& anyone with small children know about the cool down waiting period that tends to be the standard at any restaurant) Ordering drinks? It took 30 mins (& that's being kind) to fill them. And to order a new drink? It took equal that time to even see our waiter to try to order. My husband went and spoke to the manager, who said that a cook in the back just disappeared & didn't return, so they were short staffed. And listen, I'm no karen.. so I totally sympathize with that - but the restaurant was nearly EMPTY. Reservation was at 6:30... but didn't get to go play until a few minutes shy of 9:00 pm... and that wasn't because we were chatting and taking our time , it was painstakingly slow service. Half of our table got their food nearly 15 minutes before the second half of the table. And for ALL of it to come out cold, was CRAZY. The manager was very down to earth and completely understood how shitty this was. Gave us a small discount because we couldn't get the drinks for happy hour price (least of our worries) & even gave our birthday girl a $20 worth play card. That was all nice. He even had them remake the food. But at that point, we were all so over it. Thinking that you could eat a nice, quick(er), fun meal and then go play for hours, was on our agenda. And unfortunately, we were completely failed. I've never been one to complain about "not a big enough discount" - but what we paid versus the service we received (including the small discount) was a bitter pill to swallow. We are a verrry easy going group that we're willing to spend a lot of $ because it was a big occasion for us. And it was that bad that I felt like I needed to make a review.. Moral of the story, don't go to Dave and Busters when it's slow. You'll be ignored and forgotten about. Go when it's crazy busy and deal with the wait times that will make more sense in that scenario.. Best of luck to the manager, he has a mess to clean up. read more

We headed over to Dave and Buster's on a Wednesday to enjoy the 1/2 price game promotion that day. It was our first time in since the remodel, and it looks very nice. When you first enter, there are several kiosks where you can get your power cards or reload existing ones before you head on back past the bar and seating area to where all the games are, including the newer Arena rooms and the Human Crane experience. It's a nice sized game room with a wide variety of classic arcade games and newer options. Some games are just for fun, while others provide the "tickets," which are loaded directly onto your power card these days, but the name providing a topic to reminisce on for those who remember the (hopefully) long line of tickets that used to stream out of the machines. We also tried out the new Human Crane, which was also half price for the promotion. It was pretty entertaining to watch - the player is lifted into the air and acts as the "claw" a la a claw game and gets lowered to pick out their prize and carry it back to the entrance. The staff member working the Human Crane was great. It's time consuming for them to load and unload each player, but they had a system down and were very pleasant, asking each person which area of the space they wanted to be flown to in order to dig around for their prize. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon! read more

First time there since remodel.. Very disappointed. Seemed service was rushing us even though the theme is send money playing games. Food was ok. Then after many hours playing and eating they came and cleared our table even though our coats were there and we still eating food that was left. They took it. Spoke to Mike manager as we were leaving, offered to remake the food, didnt seem appropriate to wait another 45 mins for food. We had to close one tab because waiter was leaving. On second tab charged for drinks again, try to over charge us twice for drinks, felt like they were hoping we would not catch it... I don't recommend going here to anyone...... read more

Service, Service, Service...had a reservation for 3 people at 5:30. Walk-in exactly at that time, I tell the host my name and that I had a reservation. As the host is looking up my reservation, a manager walks over and starts speaking to him. This causes him to stop and speak to her, we wait about 4 min without them saying sorry or acknowledging that we are still there. They give another guy our table number, he walks us over to a two seater high top table. I reserved a standard table for 3. We pull a chair from another table. Ten minutes go by, no waiter in sight. We notice that the two other tables by us seem to be done and waiting. About 3 minutes later we see the waiter, he rushes by us and tells me "it's going to be a minute, they keep making me go to the back" no hello, just that. I ask if I can order at the bar, his response is "if they let you." I then ask the host if I can order at the bar and tell him what the waiter said. He then moves us to another table and gets our drink order. The waitress comes shortly after to take our order. We do not receive our full order until 42 minuets later. Waitress does not come back to check on us for 18 min. I ask for boxes and check, start writing this review.... I ordered the Cajun pasta, shrimp was overcooked and sauce had 0 flavor. My kids did not like their chicken tenders and they got their drink order wrong twice. We did not complain, the first time the staff noticed but still brought out the wrong drinks the second try. I get my check, both my beers are full price instead of the 4-7pm happy hour price. It's now 6:51pm, we are waiting for the check to be fixed. We will prob skip the games, my kids are over it! This the worst service I have experienced in a long time. The waitress did try her best and I can tell she was trying. Seems like they have some staffing issues. read more

I have not been to the Dave and Buster's Hilliard in years, I saw they are doing renovations at the location. I have had burgers in the past, but decided to have Chicken Tenders with BBQ sauce, crispy fries, and Pineapple Slaw with Diet Coke to wash it down. Pineapple Slaw was very different, but good. The service was good despite Michael had lot of people at my table. I will be back to eat and play games at Dave and Buster's in Hilliard. I've been to this Dave and Busters since 2014 and I've never had a problem with them! The space is always clean and well decorated around the holidays. They have happy hour from 4-7PM Mondays - Fridays. I know you can earn plays when you buy food. The last time I went a few games were down and had to be fixed, but I was able to find someone to come help me and refund my credits right away. Drinks, food, and arcade games all in one. I haven't been to this location in years, but I got to say they have made some improvements since the last time I've been here. I like this location because it's bigger than the polaris location and more games to play. I went on a Saturday night expecting it to be crowded don't get me wrong they had a nice crowd but I wasn't feeling cramped like the other location. We also ate in the dining room the food was just ok, but I'm willing to go back and try other options. The staff were very nice and helpful. I'm looking forward to going back maybe on a Wednesday when the games are half. read more

I was nicely surprised by the great service and pretty good food here. Our waiter could not have been friendlier and food came out quickly for hungry kids. The cheeseburger was way underdone, but the french fries were delicious. They have a full bar menu for the adults too. You buy game cards at one of the self serve kiosks. Wednesdays are half price game days, which we found out when we happened to go on a Wednesday. The kids got about two hours of game time for $40 per card. They earned "tickets" that can be redeemed in the gift shop. They came out with some "sticky hands" and "sound machines" they were pretty stoked about. The only negative was the bathrooms. Definitely could have been cleaner, and I felt the need for lots of hand sanitizer at the end of the night. read more

I recently had a basketball team get together and didn't really plan anything specific, but to just arrive at Dave and Busters to have a quick conversation and let my kids and parents get to know each other. Once our group started to arrive and gather in the lobby, I was approached by the General Manager Antwan Pittman. I had no prior conversation with him at this point and really was unsure the best way to gather all my parents for our meeting. He offered to take care of my group and make sure we had a spot to gather for our meeting, which just happened to be in the VIP room. Additionally he made sure we had a dedicated area to sit and enjoy our food/drinks. He was very persistent to ensure that we were taken care of and I am truly grateful for his generosity. We had a very unsatisfactory experience. While the decor and games seemed to got upgraded, it appears that the service got downgraded. From the moment we sat down we were greeted with Dirty/sticky bar counter tops that were never wiped down. Once we started to order drinks the bartender actively talked us out of three different drinks, stating that we shouldn't order anything with BlackBerry here. We ordered appetizers which came out quick and hot but no napkins, utensils or side plates offered so we had to grab bar coaster/napkins. The two or three bartenders we interacted with seemed to have No sense of urgency or interest to make a customer even remotely content let alone happy. When attempting to order food for the 18 & 20 yr olds with us, they were unwilling to accommodate adult food orders sitting at the bar with under 21 food order until we complained and a manager got involved to make it happen. The only highlight of the night was one of bartender/server Emily, was a delight. She was very empathetic, apologetic and was the one who got the manager involved that allowed us to combined the food tabs. read more

I'm sorry, but construction is not a good enough excuse for the poor quality of dining we had at this location. we went for over an hour without drinks at our table for refills, waiter nowhere to be seen. There were forgotten orders, crazy rules about viewing peoples plates in order to get wing refills. get a grip, Dave and busters, if you're already struggling, maybe at least provide a good service. also, it's dirty in here, at least wipe down the tables before you sit people at them. read more

I've been here twice for work events and they've been OK. My team rented the party room and had a buffet dinner. The macaroni and cheese was very good, and the barbequed chicken was decent. The salad was mediocre, but I think it is kind of a pro forma offering. There were only 8 of us, so we had one server who was very attentive and pleasant. The bathrooms were not really all that clean, which I've seen other people mention. I picked up a drink and the bottom half of the glass fell out, spilling cocktail all over the table and my feet. We had already cashed out and I don't think any staff were aware of it at the time, but it was quite surprising. read more

I would not recommend this place I recently was considering going here for the new years eve event they were having and so before buying some tickets which were showing a cost online of $81 without 2 drinks and $101 with 2 drinks I wanted to check the place out and ask some questions so I drove over. As soon as I pulled in the parking lot, I saw the sign was missing, and there was a lot of construction, and its kinda in a tucked away sketchy area, which is really sad. I thought maybe it would be better inside. I walked in, and there were not a lot of employees and tons of plastic liner and definitely construction going on, so if you're gonna be offering an event, maybe you should consider that in the cost. I did the math for you for the event you get a $20 Power card with unlimited video games only, so this excludes any games you get tickets on, meaning no skee ball or bowling! Indecided to count them and saw that was 75 total seats for non ticket games. Also the advertisement makes it seem like there will be a buffet of food out all night of unlimited availability but after asking I was told if you don't arrive early you may not get food and it's only a certain amount per person they will put out this right here is a deal breaker I am not paying $100 to have you limit the food! Plus I asked how many tickets are being sold and it's 100 so at minimum they are making $8,000 and at Max at least more than 11K with people drinking I think they could leave the food out with a under construction premises. Finally they are allowing kids now this could be good or bad for you but after 9 typically Dave and Busters is Adults only so this for me is another deal breaker only because all the games will be monopolized and it won't be as fun.so again I would not recommend this location or this event hopefully next time they will think about things a little more before creating an event with such a ridiculous price. Oh Dave and Busters, a classic childhood memory and... not a lot has changed. Same games, only real difference is tickets are now automatically loaded on the cards (tragic because I use to cheat and pull out tickets from broke machines). They do have a new VR rooms, but I'm not sure how you go about reserving them. Anyhow, expect stinky kids, kids without parents, kids being kids, the place is for kids! They're just having fun! Even as an adult, it's still fun to enjoy just remember to use your manners and wait your turn. The prizes are more limited than they use to be ten years ago, and they don't seem to have updated since then. There's a bar and food, but they ignored us for a good while as we waited to get waters. Still a good time if you make it a good time! read more

Went tonight for the new grand opening. They did an amazing job with the place, but I have to give major props to the staff and a special call out to the manager!! The staff was so welcoming, kind, and enthusiastic with their welcome. The bartenders were attentive and kind. We had an issue with a game card, and the manager went above and beyond to rectify the issue and made the entire experience a great one! It was my first time at Dave and Busters and I decided to go with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. Attendants seemed very clueless, unprepared or even unaware of our 6pm reservation. One of the workers set us in a tucked away area where there were multiple families with young kids and a 5 year old bday party going on...NOT what we came for! The food was not good and the drinks were even worse. The drink menu was dirty and so was the seat my boyfriend sat on. The servers were slow and often looked confused and overwhelemed. The server that took our food and drink orders never wrote anything down and ordered me a well done burger when I asked for medium well. Dave & Busters is lacking in a lot of areas. Attentive staff, cleanliness, maintenance, and food quality all need significant improvement. Walking into Dave and Busters this last time smelled like a concert halls bathroom, it was immediately apparent they needed to clean a little better. Considering this is an entertainment venue and most games have been overly used, we're dealing with a pandemic, and my kids are touching everything it would be nice to think it had been well sanitized but unfortunately that's not the idea I got at all. Several of the games were out of order and the dining room was closed. We were able to eat in the midway and our server was attentive but the rest of the staff seemed like they were just trying to get through the day with minimal effort. I understand that everyone is having a tough time hiring and keeping help but after seeing the bathroom, I'm not sure I can go back to this location. This location desperately needs help. read more

Took 15 minutes to even being acknowledged after sitting down. Ordered 2 sodas and food at the same time. Sodas arrived 35 minutes later food took another 15 minutes. I love this place so much great games better than Scene 75, way better prizes than scene 75 and amazing staff but please please fix the machines i went on this wednesday and half were broken, out of order or didn't work when you swiped the card. I saw several people waiting for the repairman while their games were broken. You need to hire more people to fix the games and clean the bathrooms and disinfect!! There were 4 people behind the counter standing around when we arrived but only one was helping people. We had 2 people in front of us and waited 15 minutes before we it was our turn. By that time the line was out the door and the other 3 people were still just standing around. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The beer was cold and the apps were decent. Had the giant pretzel, which is truly giant but comes with a quarter of a portion cup of tasteless cheese. They charge .59$ for another. It breaks my heart to see this location become so horribly cared for. The older games are banged up and hardly functioning. Years ago, I had the pleasure of seeing this place open. It was awesome then! Workers genuinely cared and the equipment worked fine for years. Fast forward to now and it seems like the staff can't be bothered to be friendly much less accessible. I spent $40 on half price Wednesday and still feel it was a waste. However, they get one extra star for having new games that are working. For how long, who knows? Go to the Polaris location. My wife ordered the half rack of ribs and fries -amazing. My son ordered the burger with the bacon and bacon jam on it- he said it was the greatest burger he had ever eaten. I ordered the classic burger, fries, and some wings. It was quite propahh. There's some construction going on but that wasn't too bad. Bill came and it was reasonable enough for what we got. Oh, my! The family took my grandson to Dave and Buster's (Hilliard), because that's where he wanted to go in celebration of his first communion! For those of us not necessarily into the gaming (the grandparents), it's about the food! I had the chicken Parm with fettuccine and house Alfredo sauce. The portions were large enough that I had to ask for a take-home box. (You don't bother with a box when the meal is mediocre or worse.) First positive comment, the food was so good that I wanted to take home what I had left on my plate. Second, there was a special touch with the meal, and that was the grape and cherry tomato medley that garnished the plate. The delicious prep-work lifted the garnish to a "side" level. Third, everyone enjoyed their meals, which included burgers and more pasta plates. The grandson had the steak dinner. I had a portion of his steak and it was delicious! Service was fast, efficient and delivered as ordered. Not the most ambient of eating environments, but what can you expect from a gaming place with a very loud background? We could've chosen to eat in a quieter room within the Dave and Buster's, but my grandson chose to eat within close proximity to all the games! All in all, a great meal (which is what it's all about) and who would've "thunk" it! The arcade area was nice. What I liked best was that it was the most efficient prize area I've ever seen in an arcade. No waiting hours for someone to grab things out of glass cases. The service is always mediocre here. It took forever to be served because all of the table were "occupied" by people that were off playing games. Most of the tables appeared to be empty and people were not coming back. It was annoying to wait but I understand. The waitress was quick,initially. As it got later, it was difficult to get refills of drinks. The food didn't take long to arrive, was hot and GOOD. My wife always orders the rib. They fall off the bone and the sauce is so tasty. I order the wings typically -- they are typical. Appear to be similar to like Applebee's or something. The fries are basic. They are typically good but nothing special.
