The place is in its third generation of family ownership, and has been seriously spruced up in the intervening years. Our 40 year old side by side refrigerator finally gave up the ghost last week (compressor) and it was time for a replacement, as parts for these old contraptions are hard to find. We decided to check out this old school appliance store before moving on to Best Buy or Costco. We wanted to talk to a knowledgeable salesperson before trying someone well versed in computers and TVs, but bored by household kitchen appliances. "Mike," was the right guy. He knew the skinny on kitchen tech, and was pleasant about educating us. Turned out the prices were identical to the other places, had real inventory and the ability to deliver, install and remove within days of purchase, rather than weeks. We opted for the Frigidaire Gallery model, which is basically still American made, and the right size to fit in our washroom next to our other appliances as our back up refrigerator, which the old one had become when we updated our kitchen 20 years ago. Mike took us through the process, had the piece in their warehouse, arranged for favorable financing (12 mo., no int.), with delivery in 2 days. True, there was a reasonable delivery charge, and cost for removing our old dinosaur, but they use their own people to install, not independent contractors. Overall, worth a bit more for the time and convenience, and having someone to call if something goes wrong. We were so pleased by the professional, yet human interaction, that we decided to also purchase a new stove hood exhaust stronger than the one that came with the our stove. It was never able to pull enough cooked air out of the kitchen to vent outside. This may be a continuing saga as the new equipment is delivered, installed and used in life. Let's hope for the best.

Consumer Warning: Do NOT Purchase from DH Appliances 4 Less (Jackson & Ewing, NJ)…read more We purchased an LG washer/dryer tower from DH Appliances 4 Less, trusting their website's claim that "ALL APPLIANCES FROM OUR LOCATION ARE NOT ONLY THOROUGHLY TESTED BEFORE LEAVING THE STORE, THEY EACH COME WITH 1 YEAR FREE CPS WARRANTY." He even told me that the only damage to the appliance was a small dent on the side, which he pointed out. Unfortunately, this turned out to be false. The appliance they delivered and installed was faulty and flooded our home, causing over $100,000 in damage. The owner, Andy Han, came to our house and we have a video of him promising to reimburse us. We asked about going through insurance, he said he would pay out of pocket. He quickly took the washer/dryer back, assuring us he would follow up once we assessed the damage. But we even had to dispute the charge through our credit card just to get a refund. One year later and numerous attempts to contact him and after hiring a lawyer at our expense, there has been no follow-up or any reimbursement from him. His website still falsely claims that every appliance is tested. This business is deceptive, dishonest, and irresponsible. Avoid DH Appliances 4 Less at all costs

They ignored me pleads for help for the last 7 weeks and now have the nerve to say I cannot get my money back because the refrigerator has been in my hose this long. I recently had my dryer go down on a Friday morning. After troubleshooting for sometime over the…read morephone with my wife, we figured out that it must be an internal part :(. I took the dryer apart on a fun filled Friday night guided by a DIY YouTube video and identified the parts I would need. A friend recommended giving these guys a call the following morning to see if they had the parts I needed, which they did! The girl on the phone was pleasant and helpful. Although the parts were almost half the cost on an online website with following day delivery, the phrase "Happy wife, happy life!" cancels the difference out immediately! When I arrived the girl behind the counter remembered me from our phone conversation and quickly gathered the repair parts for check out. The inside of the building was clean and organized. The older odds and end parts in their display cases gave me flashbacks! It made me feel old, but at the same time had me smiling and remember visiting mom and pop stores like this one with my father when I was a kid. I know some online sites can be cheaper, but in my humble opinion you have to support small brick and mortar businesses like this! My dryer is running like new and my wife is happy.
