My last visit to Mrs. G's on Route 1, Lawrenceville, NJ before the one yesterday, was more than two…read moredecades ago when we modernized our kitchen. The place is in its third generation of family ownership, and has been seriously spruced up in the intervening years. Our 40 year old side by side refrigerator finally gave up the ghost last week (compressor) and it was time for a replacement, as parts for these old contraptions are hard to find. We decided to check out this old school appliance store before moving on to Best Buy or Costco. We wanted to talk to a knowledgeable salesperson before trying someone well versed in computers and TVs, but bored by household kitchen appliances. "Mike," was the right guy. He knew the skinny on kitchen tech, and was pleasant about educating us. Turned out the prices were identical to the other places, had real inventory and the ability to deliver, install and remove within days of purchase, rather than weeks. We opted for the Frigidaire Gallery model, which is basically still American made, and the right size to fit in our washroom next to our other appliances as our back up refrigerator, which the old one had become when we updated our kitchen 20 years ago. Mike took us through the process, had the piece in their warehouse, arranged for favorable financing (12 mo., no int.), with delivery in 2 days. True, there was a reasonable delivery charge, and cost for removing our old dinosaur, but they use their own people to install, not independent contractors. Overall, worth a bit more for the time and convenience, and having someone to call if something goes wrong. We were so pleased by the professional, yet human interaction, that we decided to also purchase a new stove hood exhaust stronger than the one that came with the our stove. It was never able to pull enough cooked air out of the kitchen to vent outside. This may be a continuing saga as the new equipment is delivered, installed and used in life. Let's hope for the best.

SEEMORE appliances . The worst experience I've had with them. This was the 2nd purchase. The first…read moretime they did not deliver everything despite having to wait two weeks but made good on completing the delivery the following day. So I gave him a second chance and bought a dishwasher, a microwave, a washer, dryer combo, a stove for a rental. At this point I'm loosing money on renting the apt because my tile installer can't do the counter top or backsplash without all items in their respectful place. When the items were not delivered I told Sal my sales person that I needed the microwave asap or it would be a domino effect affecting other trades from doing their job and duration of the job. He could not fix the problem and said the items would get delivered today. So Stella, the delivery company that they use which is equally as miserable as Seemore appliances delivered the refrigerator. The item that I need the least right now I contacted Seemore, cell the sales person, and informed him he gave me a phone number to speak with Marissa. She was equally useless. I texted Sal over 20 minutes ago that I want my money back for the microwave and that I will be buying it from Pc Richards I have not heard back from him. Our most recent experience was at the beginning of this recent 8 day heat wave . Our main AC unit died . We immediately called Seemore's and spoke with Jonathan. He gave us all our options for a new unit and arranged installation for TWO DAYS later ! What could have been a nightmare was in fact, seamless ! Thank you Jonathan for your expertise, and understanding of our situation with no AC in a heat wave !!! Thank you Seemore's for your many years of service and experience ! Today, I did not think much of this cashier who worked at the Princeton, NJ Target store. She…read morehardly wanted to help me much with getting a price off an item. When I asked her to take the item back to the shelf to get the actual price, she did not initially want to even bring the item with her. When I finally found the price tag had stuck to my purse while this cashier was away in the aisles looking for my price, she came back with the incorrect price $45 ($15 more than my item). When I gave the price tag to her, then right in front of herself and her register, she read my item now being $30, which I told her, that was the price, I saw and another Target staff told me. This cashier did not apologize that she was wrong. Or even just to apologize for her mistake at all. I did not think much of her serving the public.

I received an email indicating that my item shipped with FedEx, however, there was no tracking…read morenumber. I had to call the help line to find out the tracking number. In doing so, I had to speak to someone in another country that I could barely understand. This is "AMERICA." Okay, to make a long story short this is my first and last time that I will have my order delivered from Target. If I can't pick it up at the store, I will not be ordering any items. Virtual Assistant is horrible & will never replace man. No matter how much money you try to save by using virtual assistance to replace people it will eventually fail.
