Improper dryer installation. Instead of using the oval to round transition fitting I was told would be used, the installer squeezed the flexible duct over the outlet and put a piece of tape over the front so it looked like it was sealed. 10 weeks later we noticed dust and lint all over the laundry room only to discover that the flexible duct had fallen off. Now I'm told they don't have an oval to round fitting. I'll have to go on Amazon (where they have many options) and do it myself. Buyer beware if you purchase from this company. read more

Our dishwasher went out and GE service repairman suggested we replace, rather than repair. He looked over the GE website and suggested a GE model and Rogers Appliances in Flemington. I called on a Friday and Ryan took the call. In a few minutes the order was placed along with installation and extended warranty. On Tuesday they called to confirm delivery on Weds., and on Weds. Bob arrived. Bob put a masonite sheet on my hardwood floor to prevent scratches and removed the old, and installed the new. After he left, I realized I did not have an Owner's manual. I went online and downloaded the manual and noted GE had put that unit on sale. I called Ryan and Rogers honored their price guaranty issuing a credit to my credit card. I went into store to purchase Refrigerator after shopping around. I have been a resident for 28 years and have purchased from Rogers before. Eric was salesman I met with. Very knowledgeable and went over and beyone explaining everything to me. Even asked me for pictures of a Subzero I needed hauled away. We went over prices and especially Delivery, Installation and haul away. $249.00 because of the built in. I went home told my husband Eric was terrific and whatever we decided on let's purchase from there. I applied for Rogers Credit Card was approved. Fast forward...Eric is off and I because of cost decided on another lower priced refrigerator. Started on line chat with "Kevin". Then emails with Kevin (all of which I have). We went from purchase of a Bosch with DELIVERY, INSTALLATION AND HAUL AWAY for $150.00. Then when I changed the brand to Samsung and explained to be upfront about the subzero removal the cost went to DELIVERY, $175.00, $200.00 FOR REMOVAL and also wrote "I'm assuming we would just drop it off as your husband would need to modify the cabinet" (verbatim in email). He also emailed "Eric definitely quoted me wrong" but would honor that price. I then got a call from Kevin saying he was not going back and forth via email, he was trying to pull a fast one and now said the "$175.00 included a water line"!!!! No where in his email did he mentioned installation point blank said they were DROPPING THE REFRIGERATOR. Ok. This really was so dissappointing. The first time we wandered over from the Dept Store and when we asked some questions we were treated as if we were bothering the staff person. Purchased microwave and given delivery date which I had to rescheduled due to a med emergency. Down hill from there. Scheduled for a week later only to receive a call stating they were cancelling due to possible inclement weather and rescheduled another week later. Two days before delivery received call saying could delivery on Thursday between 1-4. Thursday 4:30 received call saying deliveries backed up can't deliver on scheduled day Friday due to snow anticipated and would deliver Monday. Finally Monday it was delivered and installed. During installation installer never checked brand he was installing and assumed it was a Kitchenaid and used measurements from memory mounting hardware, Then realized it was a GE stating we are entitled to one mistake and had to remove and remount unit which left two small holes and dark pencil lines on wall visible under unit. During rescheduling had phone call with a rep at Rogers who had an attitude and simply said he would just drop off the unit himself or issue refund instead of delivering and installing which had already been paid in full. This wasn't an option.. Very disappointed in service. The salesman was great but ball dropped after that. During all this we received 3 phone calls from Rogers about another delivery for another address and town that apparently had our tel number and nothing to do with our order. After 1st call told them to correct the info but apparently never did. Very disappointed in overall experience and will probably never go back. read more

We purchased a Maytag Commercial Washer and Dryer for our home in Yardley, Pa from Roger's Appliances in July. Kevin assisted us in the store and explained the different brands, types of washers and dryers and options available. The sales transaction was easy and later we decided we wanted to upgrade the washer to a bigger model and Kevin made the adjustment painless. They had a few clothes dryers listed for sale on their web site, so I figured I would drive all the way to the store to check them out. It is a medium sized store with LOTS of appliances on display. The sales manager told me that they don't have clothes dryers in stock. They are in short supply due to the state the country is in. Yet, he still has them advertised. BE FOREWARNED: Terrible customer service and damaged appliances!! My husband and I were looking for a new dishwasher over this summer. We like to patronize the local, independent businesses, so we called Rogers Appliance in Flemington. Due to supply chain disruptions, we perfectly understood that the dishwasher we ordered could take up to 5 months to be delivered, but we put a deposit down and decided to proceed. About 3 months later we received a call and were told our new dishwasher would be installed shortly. The installation people were very courteous, but informed and showed us that our dishwasher was severely dented on the front (the box it came in was also severely damaged so I can't imagine why they loaded onto the delivery truck in the first place without checking it) . They had to return it to Rogers. We were then given a credit for our payment and told that they could deliver a different make that was in stock. OK, we thought. Well, within a week or so they arrived with the replacement dishwasher. Lo and behold - we were shown that not only was this dishwasher also damaged, but it was missing an important part on the back! That too had to be sent back to Rogers. I called Rogers and asked to speak with the manager/owner. I was told she was not available to speak with me and he would not be able to reach her because he didn't have her cell phone number for him to contact her(???) Definitely a red flag. A man from Rogers called my husband the next day (it was not the manager/owner - yet another RED FLAG) and my husband just told them to refund his payment. He was understandably fed up! I next looked up another local, independent appliance dealer, UNEEDA DISCOUNT APPLIANCES, in Raritan. They were terrific! We ordered a dishwasher in stock. It came on the designated day. No damage and the installation people went the extra mile to change the water tubing and make sure everything was working properly. Bottom line: Unless you're a true gambler at heart (I'm sure they have a few satisfied customers, but our experience leads us to believe they must be in the minority), or a glutton for punishment, I'd recommend purchasing from Uneeda Discount Appliances! read more

I have been purchasing all my appliances from Roger's for about 15 years. Turns out, the prices are the same as Home Depot and Lowes, but the service is incredible. You get the same installer most times and everything is handled for you. You get a delivery time. They are neat and conscientious. They make sure they put down protectors for your flooring. Also, the sales people don't get commission and they all work together to help you figure out what you need. They tell you the truth about things----For example, certain brands don't have a servicer in our Flemington area or parts are hard to come by. They know all the details about every item or they look it up and get answers. My salesman, John, enthusiastically showed me every option on my new GE stainless steel range because he had just purchased the same one---he was psyched about the 3 racks and the extra low setting for simmering....he even knew the degrees for each of the models on the floor! At Home Depot, I would be googling every single unit. I trust the people at Roger's and they have gone above and beyond in every interaction. Roger's was there when I renovated my kitchen and when I lost everything when lightning struck my house. They are kind and helpful. I bought all my appliances from Rogers and it was a nightmare. First of all my original refrigerator fell off the delivery truck and they could not get me a replacement. The new refrigerator was a different size and the power configuration was different which cost me another $800 to redo things which Rogers did not even do the rightful thing to cover the costs. The refrigerator installer hired by Rogers, scratched and dented up my new hardwood floors which requires $2000 worth of repairs which Rogers completely backed out on paying for damages! I have purchased a number of appliances from Rogers in Flemington, and found them to offer fair prices and friendly service. More importantly, since we have had problems with the brand of appliances we purchased (Thermador), Roger's stood behind their products. When you purchase a higher-end and more expensive brand like Thermador, you expect them to perform very well. But in 2-1/2 years, our Thermador range and dishwasher each had to be replaced once, and the Thermador microwave had to be replaced twice. Each time, Rogers Appliance took care of the problem, swapping out the items at no cost and at a convenient time to us. We have rarely found a company that stood behind their products like Rogers, even though the problems were with the manufacturer, not them. Thanks to Alex, the Manager for that. A few years later we needed to replace our clothes washing machine and shopped around and again Rogers had good recommendations, price, and delivery. Three years ago my wife and I bought several appliances at this store. Our salesman was Jon was doesn't really know much about his inventory (which we did not know at the time because he spoke like he knew. We had trouble with the delivery (refrigerator was damaged, the oven and microwave were not installed properly). In time they were fixed with a lot of phone calls. The biggest problem was with our oven which was suppose to be self cleaning and salesman Jon told us it was. Well it wasn't self cleaning it was steam cleaning that is terrible. Many phone calls to Jon and Kitchen aid and nothing was solved. I would never, ever buy anything from Rogers, Jon or Kitchen aid. We finally replaced it with another brand that is true self cleaning. If you ever go there be very careful. I recommend never go there for any appliance. read more

Disappointing to say the least. I ordered a range hood in January, was told I would have it in a week... a week came a went, I called and then was told it was on back-order, and would hopefully have it in 4-6 weeks. Sigh, I waited, 6 weeks later, I call again and find out they can no longer get the hood I ordered due to some issue with their distributor. Keep in mind, no one ever called me to tell me this, I had to call. I ask for alternatives for a 7 foot ceiling (99% of them will fit 8 foot or higher ceilings only), and they say a Whirlpool will work for me, so I order that. I get it a week later, and my contractor reviews and says it's not good for a 7 foot ceiling. I haul it back to the store for a return, and the manager jerks me around because the box was opened and a piece of styrofoam is missing in the packaging. He'll have to charge me a restocking fee. AWESOME. I complain but they won't budge. I consider the restocking fee cheap at this point, I've learned to never go to Roger's again. Small businesses just don't get it. When we built our home in 2002 we used Roger's for all of our major appliances and grill. The grill, refrigerator, clear ice maker, microwave, dishwasher, range, washer and dryer are all still going strong, I've been really happy with the KitchenAid, Whirlpool and Weber brands. The only issue we had was with the microwave door that was poorly designed by KitchenAid. And although the microwave still worked it would have been costly to replace just the door on an 11 year old microwave so with some guidance from Roger's I purchased a perfect replacement model with all of the features I was looking for. Roger's has really been terrific with their customer service, if any of my appliances need to be replaced we won't hesitate to go there for new purchases. read more
