Overall good store. I would say this is a smaller to medium sized store versus other locations in the area. They have a tool rental department which is a huge plus! Staff are generally helpful in terms of knowledge of the trades, I've been to better locations but there certainly are some employees with deep knowledge. I like this location for the following reason: the employees have a lot of heart. Once you get past a few things regarding non-ideal depth of knowledge by some of the staff, you'll find this location full of kind, friendly and helpful employees with a lot of heart and soul. That counts for a lot. There's a lot of room for operational improvements at this location. I leave that to the management. Definitely recommend coming here for your needs. read more

I went to pick up my order from Home Depot in Ewing, NJ. When I open the box at the cash register the item was damaged. The item was used, broken and the box was rewrapped with tape. The cashier was upset and angry about me requesting a return purchase. I don't shop at Ewing Depot because the "people" that work there have no class or respect. I will never go in Ewing store again. The cashier didn't want to be bothered. The box was all tape up as though it was returned by another custom. These young adults have no respect. Home Depot staff knew the item was damaged by looking at the box but when it arrived the "idiots" contacted me saying my order was ready for pick up. F and I... okay more me, had an itching for a project. Aha! I will paint the living room. Off to Home Depot which is still open, with reduced hours. I originally was going for charcoal grey then was inspired to go with navy blue. I have a chocolate brown color in the living room now. Questions...do I need primer? What color primer? Robert in the paint department to the rescue. While I was choosing colors I overheard him advising another couple. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. Then he was so helpful to us. This store is one of the worst ones I've been to so far. I come here almost every day. And there hasn't been a time where the store was in order. Minus one star for parking. There is absolutely no control over parking in this store. The pro area is always chaotic. Cars and tutu is park on fire lanes, on pedestrian areas. Especially during mornings it's hard to push your cart outside without having to do it on the road where drivers beep at you. But there is nowhere else to walk! There are cars everywhere, but he designated area. This a is not ok. Minus another star for lack of order inside. There is always a line in the return section. Other customers like to check out there because they think it's faster? It's the return line. Why can't this be addressed? Why can't those customers be sent to the right area? There are plenty of registers self and non self service. And there is only one return spot. Very inconvenient. As I wait in line to return a couple of prices I am writing this. Minus third star for pro services. I spend a significant amount of money in this store weekly. In the pro area they don't even ask you if you have an account. They automatically try to process you, and if you're not fast enough to tell them, they will have to rescan everything. Waste of time. The pro desk is always on the phone and there is always a line of 2-3 people waiting. It's impossible to ask a single question without spending a half an hour there. And speaking of misplaced items. I had after going back and forth April to December 2020 an Central Air Unit. Had salesman come out 2 times said nothing about basement and ductwork. Artic Air installed it in December. Turned on for 1st time and not holding temperature and ducts leaking water all over basement. Flickering lights when air turns on. Artic Air came out 1st excuse basement to much humidity. 2nd excuse ductwork issues. Called Home Depot Corporate office the seem concerned at 1st. District Manager called spoke about issues even came to house. He stated he had communication issues with Artic Air. He stated he would resolve the issue. Well he called said it will cost you $8800.to fix the ductwork. Artic Air stated it might not even solve the problem. Artic Air advertise they check to see if ductwork and system is good before installation. What a let down. read more

Home Depot is everywhere, and it is always my go to for a lot of things. This store is the closest to my house and I go there once a month at least. The reason for my 3 stars is that, every time you ask a question to an employee that is near by, it's never the right person to ask, even when they are right by the item you ask about. Also, I notice that a lot of things tend to be displaced, and not where they belong. I was purchasing shelves, and it took me 15 minutes to find 6 of the same size, only because they were all piled up in the wrong place. Hire people with a bit more knowledge and common sense. Teach them to know the store by heart, so when you ask for direction they don't have to rely on someone else. read more

Oh my. Not the HD experience I've come to expect at other stores. Out of stock of things I needed, unhelpful staff, and broken equipment (e.g. the wood cutter was out of order so they couldn't help me with my order). Total chaos, no organization for checkout lines and definitely no enforcement of social distancing - in fact groups of employees were clogging the aisles chatting to the point i had to push through their group just to get where I needed to go. Only one register operating with a line of 10+ people, I just gave up and left. I'll get what I need at Lowes. read more

The Home Depot in Ewing Township is by far the most terrible store to shop at. Let alone visit . There is never any mangers around when needed. None of the employees know their job nor due they even greet you when you walk into the store. The cashiers look miserable and the head of the cashiers Geneva is nothing but ignorant, incompetent and will look the other way as soon as you go to ask for help. I have had many house projects to accomplish and I make sure I go to any other home depot store even though i live in Ewing, because all of the horrible encounters I have had. I don't understand how this store still has the mangers that they do and are still functioning. My uncle came here and it took over 40 minutes to get 6 2 by 4s and enjoyed the show trying to get them down using the forklift.

I am a fix - it kind of person and rarely need help at these types of stores. The only reason this store is not a 5 star -- it is hard to find help when you need it. So it can be frustrating for non-fix-it people. Love the 1st Saturday of the month Kids build it workshops. We recently ordered a washer and dryer online. I would not suggest ordering from Home Depot online. At any rate when the machines were delivered they told my wife that their only order was to leave the machines they had no information about removing the existing machines or installing new ones. She mistakingly accepted delivery. . She then called the local Home Depot store and spoke with the person in charge of appliances named Ricky. He would not help her told her to go hire a handyman and hung up. She called me frantically and I left work and went to the Home Depot. He refused to talk to me. Ricky ran to another department. I got an associate named Lisa to help me she got a manager and 2 1/2 hours later got it straightened out. Lisa and Stacy were great. Ricky was rude, Disrespectful and degrading. That he's allowed to continue working in a place of business is a comment on the carelessness with which this store treats its community. read more

The best way to describe what's going on in this store is mass confusion. The issue has to start with Managment considering they don't have the right staff in place to assist customers and they have not been properly training employees. This store contains many knowledgeable employees but far to often you have long lines with lost employees and that's due to poor management and lack of training. read more

Why is there never an option for zero stars? When you pay for a store to aggravate you- why give them any stars? We went to THIS location in Ewing on Olden on a Monday morning. Talked to Gabby about a brand new kitchen and bathroom install. We have a large kitchen, so no small change. Gabby -very helpful, I gave her a deposit to have contractor come out. Tues Weds Thursday all passed, no calls. (Rebath called immediately and came out just as fast didn't offer what we were looking for though) /Since No one was picking up the phone in the department where Gabby works- Called the store manager who agreed I had every right to be mad. Manager got the contractor to call that same day/ he said he had been backed up then set up an appt. saying he would be here at 2 the following Thursday. Today is Thursday, make sure we're home before 2, then 45 minutes go by, no contractor, no phone call, nothing. Called the HD on Olden and got a total run around on the phone until finally the phone system would just hang up on me, or someone in the store got tired of the ringing and would hang up. Disgusted I Called Corporate who was helpful although the first girl I spoke with helpful, the second one just wanted me off the phone so she rushed me through the process. She also said, "I don't know who told you 2 oclock but you should have been told between 2 and 4. (The contractor told me 2, when we give a time, we show up. ) I would not recommend anyone go through this home depot on Olden. Unorganized, certainly don't give a crap about customers and I'm getting a refund back on the deposit. Will the Princeton store be any different? Not sure what to do now. We have an appointment set up with a Lowes contractor so we'll see if they handle things any differently. read more
