What a wonderful car buying experience. It was a true pleasure to purchase a car with a dealership that prides itself with honesty and integrity. I was shopping online like most people now a days for my next vehicle and came across Dastrup Auto. I inquired on a vehicle and Jared contacted me and gave me all the info I requested very promptly. I informed Jared I was a Arizona resident and I lived 632 miles away. I told Jared I needed to structure a deal and I would drive to Utah to finalize it. I told Jared I want no surprises when I get there. They gave me a verbal offer on my trade and all I had to do was drive 632 miles to get my new car. My wife thought I was crazy to dive all that way to buy a vehicle just on the word of a salesmen but I did it anyways. The only surprise that I got when I got there was there was NO surprises . The Gladiator was exactly how he described it. Right down to the one small paint chip on the fender that Jared sent me a picture of. I was literally there only a hour to finalize the deal with Jared and Kieth. They where truly awesome. The entire staff was extremely considerate of my time, honest, professional and very courteous. I loved that they didn't try any games, gimmicks no surprises no BS and no up sales at all. I finalized the deal and was on the road home back to Arizona in my new (preowned) Jeep Gladiator Mohave. AVOID. FRAUDULENT. Worst. Ever. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL OWNERS. Like Steph below, I bought a car from Dastrup and it had multiple problems ... all of which they concealed. I have a copy of the 'online listing' as well as all my text messages to prove so. Dastrup 'promised' that there was a full inspection ... but clearly lied. I had to make the 40 mile trip to the dealership a week later to argue with one of the greedy owners that they should 100% fix what they knew was wrong with the car. Hopefully they will fix what's wrong; we'll see. I have serious doubts and 0% trust in these shady owners. The fact that these thieving owners offer to take the commission away from the nice salesperson is a true reflection of how dishonest, uncaring, out-of-touch and narcissistic the owners truly are. Unprofessional Item #1: The car had 1/4 of a tank of gas = Ridiculous. Cost to Fix: $59 Unprofessional Item #2: The car was not clean; coffee stains on carpet and many, many other interior stains = Lame. Cost to Fix: $100 Unprofessional Item #3: They only provided 1 key = Insane. The car has an electric key. Cannot start it without a specialized key = Unacceptable. They have refused to reimburse me. Buyer beware!!!! Before buying a vehicle from this dealership we got the car facts report from them which showed the car had a clean title, no accidents. Their own inspection showed that the car passed with flying colors. We bought the vehicle and found out a couple of days later when we suspected something wrong with the transmission, that it got in an accident and that it does not have the original transmission. We think that the transmission is a used one from a junk yard. The transmission is bad which is a $6,000 repair. Since it had been less than a week since purchase, we went to the owners and kindly asked if there was anything they could do, such as fix it for no cost to us or do an exchange with another vehicle but Tyler yelled at us and told us that legally they did not need to disclose it had been in an accident. We filed a complaint with the Utah Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division. They investigated but unfortunately the laws in Utah are written in such a way that buyers have very little rights when it comes to purchasing used vehicles. We suspect that the Dastrup owners know this and know how to use the loopholes in the law to their advantage in selling unfit vehicles to their customers. 2012 GMC Yukon XL purchased 10/01/2021... About 2wks ago the transmission started acting funny. Had 3 local shops check the transmission and they all confirmed that the transmission needs to be rebuilt. I mentioned to each shop that the fluid was just changed. They said that doing a fluid change can mask the deterioration of the torque converter for a few months. Based on this information it is reasonable to believe that Dastrup Auto intentionally sold the vehicle knowing there was an issue with the transmission. I will say that at first everything seemed good. Purchased 2 months ago a 2012 GMC Yukon XL for my family. Dastrup did what appeared to be a good bit of maintenance to the vehicle. Tranny flush and coolant flush were both on the list of things done. Went in for a routine "checkup" and oil change and was informed the coolant was not the appropriate ratio and needed to be changed or it may freeze. I can confirm that the coolant was very clear. Not a big deal but disappointing. As of today, I have reached out to Dastrup to see if they are willing to assist in paying for the repair of the transmission. I will update this post if Dastrup does the "right thing". Until then any response from Dastrup stating how sorry they are or they cannot predict the future is merely an attempt to appease someone's concerns who might read this post. read more

Recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership. A week after purchase I realized an oil leak coming from the front end. I called the dealership and told them that it wasn't acceptable and they told me the owner would be in contact. He contacted me and tried to deny liability of the situation but was offering to see what he can do to fix it I hung up on him due to my lack of trust and being we already had a scheduled visit with a much more reliable dealership. He texted back later offering to fix it at no cost to us. He then called my girlfriend ranting and lecturing her about the way life works and how there is no way to predict this happening. Once Monday rolled around I received a text from him with a screenshot of a review she had left before he offered to fix it at no cost. She was also in the middle of trying to get the review taken down, after the screenshot of her review another text followed saying "Good luck with your girlfriends car" while also texting her non stop telling that she was trashing his name and trying to ruin his income and that when she gets older she'll realize how life works if she has a reasonable conscience. This left her near tears at work. Once we finally got the car in to the other dealership it was declared that the warranty couldn't cover the damage to the vehicle being it was pre existing and the dealership that sold us the vehicle should have caught and fixed the issue. The owner of this company continued to text me and her telling me to watch my temper and grow up. My girlfriend ended up having to block his number due to the harassment and his unprofessional and unkind nature. This guy is a ignorant a**hole waste of time and money DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. read more
