Dilly Delli set us up with an assortment of their standard sandwiches. Dilly Delli cut each of them in half, wrapped each half individually, and labeled them all. I got one of their club sandwiches when I picked up the order and it was one of the best club sandwiches I've had. FIVE STARS!

Self-serve was easy---make your salad and weigh it at the register. My large tray salad (see pic) was $17.21. It was two meals worth! The ingredients were all very fresh with a few spectacular choices--crumbled blue cheese, artichoke hearts, diced red pepper, cubed ham, roasted chicken, hard-boiled eggs, pickled beets, Kalamata olives, and sweet pickle chips. I love blue cheese dressing, especially when I can choose the amount. Dilly's is a little diluted and lacks garlic, but the crumbled blue cheese made it all work. Also, salt and pepper was needed--if it was there, I didn't see any. But hey, this is the most complete salad bar I've seen in Wenatchee. I also took home a Tuna-Tuna sandwich for Sherrie--she loved it. I think we're hooked! There's a loyalty program--1 Star for every $10 spent, and 50% off next purchase after 10 Stars. (Yes, sales tax is included in the calculation) What's not to like?!?!

I have to say--I did not expect to be writing a glowing review about a Denny's product, but here we…read moreare. This order completely caught me off guard in the best way possible. We were in the middle of making homemade tomato soup at home, but ran short on time and didn't want to deal with making grilled cheese sandwiches to go with it. So we decided to pick some up instead--honestly expecting something quick, basic, and "good enough." What we got was something entirely different. From the moment we opened the container, it was clear this wasn't your typical rushed diner food. The grilled cheese was perfectly done--crispy, golden brown on the outside, with that ideal buttery crunch, and melted cheese inside that actually felt balanced and intentional. Not greasy. Not slapped together. Just... done right. And the portion size? Spot on. Generous without being over the top. It felt like someone actually thought about how the dish should land, not just how fast it could get out of the kitchen. The biggest surprise for me was the freshness. That's the word that kept coming back as we ate. It didn't taste like something that had been sitting under a heat lamp or thrown together without care. It tasted like real food. Clean, simple, and well executed. And that's what really stood out--this wasn't about reinventing anything or trying to be fancy. It was classic comfort food, but elevated just enough to make you stop and say, "Wait... this is really good." I think part of what made the experience hit so hard is the expectation gap. You walk into a Denny's expecting consistency at best, not a moment. But this? This was a moment. It felt like the kitchen actually cared. Also worth mentioning--this solved a real need for us. We didn't just want food, we needed something that complemented what we were already making at home, and it delivered perfectly. That combination of convenience and quality is rare. I've eaten at plenty of places where you pay a lot more and walk away less impressed. This was the opposite. Simple order, reasonable price, and it genuinely overdelivered. If this is the direction Denny's is heading, they're onto something. Because if they can consistently produce food at this level--especially on something as straightforward as grilled cheese--they're going to surprise a lot more people the way they surprised me. Bottom line: I ordered expecting average and walked away impressed. And honestly, that might be the best kind of dining experience there is.

We ordered two (2) sandwich melts via Doordash, not even realizing they were coming out of the Denny's kitchen. When the sandwiches arrived, I was really surprised by the quality of the ingredients--slow roasted beef and medium fried whole eggs. Sherrie ordered the "Breakfast n'Bread" (think bacon, eggs and cheese breakfast sandwich). Her meal came with a 12oz glass (plastic to-go cup) of orange juice. There was a whole medium-fried egg in the sandwich (it could have come poached or scrambled--her choice). I ordered the "Hot Mess Melt" which was so rich and filling, I had to save half for the next day. It was filled with slow-roasted beef cut into 3/4" thick slices. My first thought was, how can this business afford to slow roast thick portions of brisket and sell it as a simple sandwich? To boot, it came with a clamshell of French fries--again, more than I could eat in one sitting. The flavors of both sandwiches were over-the-top better than any breakfast shop. I have to applaud Denny's for finding the way to break through their own reputation to serve cut-above entrées you'd never find at a Denny's--paradox intended! Quality? Portion size? Price?--5 Stars I'm proud to be the first to discover and review "The Meltdown" in Wenatchee! I only regret that I didn't take a picture of my half-sandwich. - Scott

While I waited with my puppy the Brett and Sons driver pulled into the handicapped space and came in to collect packages. There was an empty spot on the other side of my car, maybe eight feet further from the door. I called Brett and Sons and their response when I asked if they allowed their drivers to park in the handicapped spots was "yes, if they're in a hurry." I said it's illegal. He asked how long the driver was inside. I said not the point, it's illegal. He said he would talk to the driver but it is quite obvious this is an unwritten company policy. Shame on them!

I sent someone down from Chelan to Wenatchee to retrieve the needed part. Brett and Son's truck did not show up by closing time of the store and when the driver of the truck was contacted, he indicated that he did not have the package on his truck. We checked with the shipping source in Yakima and they advised that the item had been placed on the truck. Apparently the driver lost the package. We incurred the expense of sending someone on a 2 hour round trip to pick up a package that Brett and Son's lost. Very frustrating and expensive.
