Just moved from OC and my wife and I wanted electrical work done to our four year old house so we would be living in a place that had similar amenities like our Irvine house. We found David through Yelp. This was a first time experience with Yelp and boy did we score big when we found David's Electric. David was so good that we became so confident in his work we kept adding more and more projects so he had to be here for two full days. Actually his knowledge was overshadowed by the quality of his character. They're just good people and we feel we have built a relationship with them in that short time and even hated to see them go. These are some of the things we had David's Electric do for us: 1. Replaced all lights with LED lighting 2. Wired den for TV with electrical and coax 3. Wired garage for new LED work light 4. Added extra electrical receptacles in garage 5. Installed fan in workout room with wiring for wall switch 6. Installed multiple exterior motion lights with interior wall switch...it's dark in the orange groves of Riverside! 7. Replaced wall switches with special LED switches 8. Installed photocell, changed two exterior lights to LEDs and added wiring for these lights to the photocell outside entry door. I have one word to describe Dash electric, Unscrupulous! I am a 75 year old woman. We asked Dash electric to come out and provide us an estimate to replace three existing flush mount lighting fixtures and replace a wall switch. They sent someone out who provided a verbal estimate of a whopping $1100.00 and indicated that there was no existing junction box for the hallway fixtures we wanted replaced. They would not provide me with a written estimate upon request. I called another electrician who came out and completed the scope of work I was requesting. They also informed me that there was no need for junction boxes, as they already existed (see photos, if that is not a junction box then I do not know what it is!)! The electrician I hired to do the work charged me a fraction of what Dash electric verbally quoted me. I have a suspicion (WHICH IS MY OPINION) that they would not provide a written estimate because they did not want to provide me with proof of their unscrupulous business practices. It is also my opinion that they were trying to take advantage of an elderly woman. My suggestion, go elsewhere! read more

Contacted them through another service and they were initially responsive and David kept in touch. Upon arrival, he and the other tech (son?) quoted me $3,500 for a basic outlet repair. After stating there was no way I'd pay that, they shot each other a look and suddenly, our breaker box was a major fire hazard so that's why the price was so high. I told them no, I would go with someone else. David became adamant that there was a fire hazard and he could not leave with our box in the condition it was in and he lowered the price. I told him I was going to get a second opinion. Suddenly, they could do it for an even lower price and quoted $800 but his "boss" wouldn't be happy about the discount. Dude, you're the boss. Don't play with me. DO NOT USE DASH ELECTRIC. They are not honest and will be very aggressive once on your property and try to scare you into something you don't need.
