So happy this dentist office has figured out how to safely operate during Covid-19. The entry to…read morethis office was designed perfectly for the pandemic. You enter the first front door,you stop for your temperature check and Covid-19 survey. If you pass the test you then enter the second set of doors and find a chair in the waiting room that have been spaced to account for social distancing. Of course all this time you are required to wear a face mask. Then in my case I was there for a long overdue dental hygiene cleaning. Each hygienists space was designed to be a separate room when this office was built. The hygienist starts by handing you a mouthwash to swish with for 30 seconds to help kill any bacteria or virus that may be lurking in your mouth. At this point the patient is safe to be without their face mask but the hygienist dons a mouth/nose covering and a clear face shield. The traditional cleaning takes place from here on with x-rays, gum measuring, water pick scaling, and finally polishing. Dr. Renshaw made his appearance and consultation after the gum measurements were taken. When you leave after your appointment you exit via the back door which puts you in the same convenient parking lot. Thanks Geri for making my mouth feel so good again. I always love the feel of my mouth and teeth after my visit to you.

Because I wanted to go to church on Sunday, I used dental glue to put them back on the partial. I did pretty good, but they just weren't quite right. I called ThoroughDent Smiles and got an appointment with my dentist who I had seen before, Dr. Neda. She thought I had glued them back together pretty good, but I explained to her that they were really old, and I was interested in getting a new partial depending on cost and whether I had to use that goop to do the impression. She told me about a different way they do partials, where they don't use the metal, but a plastic that is not rigid. And it would be cheaper than the metal kind. And they could do the x-ray instead of the goop! I said sign me up! They did the x-ray thing, and I didn't even gag, because they told me a special tip about putting salt on the back of your tongue-and you don't gag. It works, so now I carry salt in my car, but they have some there if you need it. Special shout out to Reagan who was the assistant who was very kind and patient! Dr. Neda was so kind and told me that I would probably hate the partial at first and then I would love it. She was right in that the first time I put it in, it hurt a little and then when we tried to get it back out, I thought they were going to have to climb up on the chair with me with pliers to remove them. They worked on it a little and soon they were not a problem, and I love them! With my old partial, I was very self-conscious and felt like the teeth were a little too big and would never smile with my whole mouth. Now they are so natural looking, you would never know they are not my teeth. They did an excellent job matching the color and I can now smile with my whole mouth!!! Another shout out to Keri who helped me with my follow-up appointment. We had a great talk. And I can't stop without giving a shout out to the ladies working at the front desk who are always friendly and willing to explain everything and help you out. They called me the day before he was going to be in on a Saturday. I wish now I didn't make an appointment. I was told that he would have to take the tooth next tooth to he was extracting also. But no. I was not in any pain before the appointment, now I think he left nerve ending on the back tooth, cracked a tooth in front of the he was extracting and while leveleraging on my bottom teeth he cracked 1 or 2 of them. I'm in so much pain and yet they can't get me in for 2 weeks.
