Like others, Im surprised the negative reviews. This was the best experience I have had at the…read moredoctors office in a long time- it reminded me of how a visit to your primary care doctor use to be before corporations took it over. The receptions Synesha was so lovely, kind and greeted with such enthusiasm. The office is clean, not crowded and spacious, and there was little to no wait to see the doctor. I saw Dr.Lee who took her time to hear my concerns , and took interest in my over all well being. I never felt rushed, dismissed or like just "another number in a time slot" Can't recommend the place enough!

I would strongly caution anyone considering One Medical's Long Beach location to verify their…read moreinsurance coverage independently before receiving care here. My insurance stopped being accepted by One Medical (after years of flawless experiences), but when I had a recent medical issue and reached out specifically asking for an in network referral, I was told to come into see my PCP first instead. I came in, was looked at, and then referred anyway. MEANWHILE I WAS CHARGED MORE THAN $400!!!!! When I later raised the issue, One Medical staff actually acknowledged that they could find no record that I had ever been informed that my insurance was no longer accepted, and that THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME ON SITE BUT ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY DID NOT. Despite that, I am now being expected to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket for a visit I attended without being told that the insurance coverage I had previously used with them dozens of times was no longer valid. That is the part I find unacceptable. This was not a situation where I ignored a notice, misunderstood a bill, or knowingly chose to receive out-of-network care. According to One Medical's own response to me, they did not communicate the insurance change, yet I am apparently expected to absorb the financial consequences of their failure to do so. I tried to resolve this privately before posting a review. Instead of someone taking ownership of the issue and correcting it, my complaint has been passed between multiple people for weeks. I have received messages from several different staff members, but still no meaningful resolution to the central problem: One Medical failed to tell me my insurance was no longer accepted and is still expecting me to pay the resulting charges. One Medical markets itself as a premium, convenient healthcare service with better communication and easier access to care. My experience has been the opposite. If a medical practice changes whether it accepts a patient's insurance, notifying that patient before continuing to provide services should be one of the most basic administrative responsibilities. I gave them multiple opportunities to fix this before leaving a public review. At this point, prospective patients deserve to know what happened so they can protect themselves from ending up in the same situation. If One Medical ultimately takes responsibility and resolves these charges appropriately, I will update this review. As of now, they have not.

Recently, I had some abnormal blood work which was freaking me out so she called me back, talked me down, so to speak, and expedited ultrasound results. I got the results the next day! They did the US right there in the office which was very convenient. That office has very nice, professional staff too. I have had nothing but positive experiences at that office. It's in the old Borders building, which was weird at first, but it is so clean and new.

Horrible experience with this office. This office sent me a mychart message on Friday right before…read morethey closed to tell me I had DVT which is a serious medical issue. They didn't go over the blood thinner at all or even explain how they knew I had DVT. I kept following up to ask questions and they just kept telling me the Dr wasn't in office and would be there tomorrow. Tomorrow would come and the dr still hadn't returned. I asked if I could see a covering dr and was told "they are all in clinic". Why does this clinic not have covering drs?? Especially for an issue as serious as DVT which is a blood clot that can go to your heart and lungs? I have never heard of such. Every other office I've been to at other hospitals would have a dr on call or a covering dr for such urgent matters. It's not like just one dr runs the entire hospital. Then a week later when I finally met with Dr Appleby I asked her why there's no covering drs when she's out and she acted like there should have been. She wasn't apologizing or saying she would look into why I was brushed off after being given a serious diagnosis via a mychart message but had more of a dismissive tone. I asked to see a specialist and she referred me to an office that doesn't even treat DVT. I ended up finding another specialist on my own who told me she misdiagnosed and I don't even have DVT! I will never come back here because it was poor communication AND a misdiagnoses.
