Dr Mortara not only went out of her way to listen to my concerns, she spent quality time with me.

Farjad Sarafian, MD - Through this doorway is THE best infectious disease doctor in Southern California!

I have not been this impressed with a Doctor and his staff in a long time. I called 4 different…read moreInfectious Disease Specialists in the area and none of them were taking new patients. I was starting to panic, I am 12 weeks pregnant and during my last OB appointment they discovered that I have skin infection. I was very concerned this would affect the child that I am carrying. I left a message at Dr. Sarafian's clinic and within 20 minutes I received a call from Mary. She was very helpful and went above and beyond to get the records from my OB to get the ball rolling. She was able to schedule me with Dr. Sarafian 2 days later! She was so efficient and communicative. When I told her that it is hard for me to get much time off work, she emailed me the paperwork to fill out right away and even called to confirm that I got it. The level of customer service totally exceeded my expectations! I had my appointment with Dr. Sarafian today and he was Fantastic. One of the most sincere, compassionate and attentive doctor's visits I have ever had. I know he must see dozens of patients per day, but I felt that the interaction was personal and that he truly cared. That is all that I can ask from a Physician. He answered all of my questions, provided me with a treatment plan that he assured will not harm my baby in any way. Literally 15 minutes after the visit I received a call that my medication was ready at the pharmacy. If you need an Infectious Disease Specialist, I highly recommend the Orange County Infectious Disease Clinic. Thank you Dr. Sarafian, Mary and Dawn. I truly appreciate all that you have done to make this a very positive experience!

Dr. Rand is truly a remarkable doctor. I first saw him when I was admitted to the hospital after…read morefailed outpatient care: four weeks of IV antibiotics that were ineffective in treating my severe cellulitis. Furthermore, I'm a hard stick. A REALLY hard stick. Two days into my first week of infusions, the hospital recommended a midline which ended up failing due to dvt, and I ended up having to get a PICC line put in just to be able to administer my antibiotics. No other doctors could figure this out and it perpetuated for almost six weeks.....and Dr. Rand and his elegant medicine cured me in 3 days. Then, when I ended up leaving the hospital AMA (due to a bad nursing interaction) i couldn't get my own primary care physician to remove the line, or even call me back for two weeks. If I hadn't known all the risks and care for that particular kind of line, I easily could have gotten EXTREMELY ill or even died. My insurance finally approved me to go to Dr. Rand for follow up care, and the office staff called me back to confirm my info and make an appointment for the next available day.....they did bloodwork, and painlessly pulled the line the same day. I am extremely impressed with him AND the office staff. I wish I could make him my primary care doctor! Thanks for everything.

I spoke to two different women on the phone both who were extremely rude and gave me the run around before they would let me book an appointment one of the ladies was so rude I requested to speak to the office manager and she stated she was "not in" when I asked to be transferred to her voicemail she goes um ya I guess and surprise surprise she didn't transfer me she just transferred me to the other lady I was talking to from the beginning. SMH I wouldn't recommend this office if their front staff acts this way before you even get an appointment, zero compassion, common courtesy, and not helpful at all. I've been to this office years ago and they definitely have changed for the worse.

I'm thinking "hey, this might just be a breeze thru"... WRONG!!! I fill out those redundant medical forms and wait. Hang on the waiting room has activity at about 9:50am. A lady walks in and stated she was there to see my same Doctor. At 10:02, guess who is NOT called back to be seen... Yup! Me! It's now 10:30am and I'm still waiting to be seen. 10:35am and I'm called! Uneventful visit, not worth the wait. Now food for thought. Medial (and other groups for that matter) are increasingly advertizing a fee to cancel at last minute. Opposite to that, should there be a "rebate" if you are not seen in a timely fashion? Think back in college... The 15 minute rule. If the professor didn't arrive in 15 minutes of scheduled start the class would be dismissed. I'm thinking along these lines for the medical field and I'm not talking a supply of samples or coupons, I'm talking cold hard cash! Ah, who am I kidding. This will never happen, much like my chances of coming back to this office.
