Recently, I had some abnormal blood work which was freaking me out so she called me back, talked me down, so to speak, and expedited ultrasound results. I got the results the next day! It's in the old Borders building, which was weird at first, but it is so clean and new.

Horrible experience with this office. This office sent me a mychart message on Friday right before…read morethey closed to tell me I had DVT which is a serious medical issue. They didn't go over the blood thinner at all or even explain how they knew I had DVT. I kept following up to ask questions and they just kept telling me the Dr wasn't in office and would be there tomorrow. Tomorrow would come and the dr still hadn't returned. I asked if I could see a covering dr and was told "they are all in clinic". Why does this clinic not have covering drs?? Especially for an issue as serious as DVT which is a blood clot that can go to your heart and lungs? I have never heard of such. Every other office I've been to at other hospitals would have a dr on call or a covering dr for such urgent matters. It's not like just one dr runs the entire hospital. Then a week later when I finally met with Dr Appleby I asked her why there's no covering drs when she's out and she acted like there should have been. She wasn't apologizing or saying she would look into why I was brushed off after being given a serious diagnosis via a mychart message but had more of a dismissive tone. I asked to see a specialist and she referred me to an office that doesn't even treat DVT. I ended up finding another specialist on my own who told me she misdiagnosed and I don't even have DVT! I will never come back here because it was poor communication AND a misdiagnoses.

She replied "Oh I have someone in front of me." She has proven over and over that she doesn't care about the patient and is disrespectful. The M A in the back office has always given the impression that she hates her job. Has no patience with the elderly. The wrong inhaler was called into Optum. The pharmacy has been trying to call and fax starting September 5 to Dr Bryant's office with no response. So, to sum this up. 1. Wrong prescription called in to Optum. 2. No return phone calls after many attempts to correct this. Which has delayed treatment since September 5, 2023. 3. Extremely rude and unprofessional front and back office employees. 4. Tried to call again before closing. No response on a Friday night Does not call patent with prescription problem Never calls with test results. My mother has been with Dr Bryant for 24 years. My husband has been a patient with MemorialCare for over 10 years. So our recent experience has…read morebeen disappointing and worth sharing. He had weight loss surgery, and part of his ongoing care requires regular weight monitoring. He is a paraplegic and wheelchair user, so access to a wheelchair scale is medically necessary. It is a flat scale that allows an individual who cannot stand or transfer a way to roll on a scale to record their weight. For years, he used the wheelchair scale at the MemorialCare Surgical Weight Loss Center in Fountain Valley Ca without issue. The two ladies there have always been kind and accommodating. However, in December, the manager, Charlene Freeman, told him he could no longer use the wheelchair scale. No alternative was offered, no guidance was given. nothing. Since then, we have been trying to resolve this issue with no success. A request and call back for a case manager through a patient navigator was never returned His primary care doctor was kind enough to submit a referral for access to a wheelchair scale, which was denied. His primary care is located at the Los Altos facility and was I was connected with the referral coordinator at that location. She took the information on one occasion and I never heard from her again. I have left 11+ messages for Tamara (referral coordinator) with no response since March 5th Messages were also left for Danielle (lead patient navigator), Shiela, and Julie (referral coordinators), with no callbacks Multiple messages were left with Patient Relations at (657) 241-3475--no response Even outreach through social media has gone unanswered We even went to the emergency room hoping to use a wheelchair scale there, only to be told he could not use it because he was not being admitted as a patient. Today is March 18 and still no call back from any of the numbers that I left messages with. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Access to a wheelchair scale is essential for his health, and the lack of response, follow-through, and basic accessibility is deeply concerning. This reflects a serious breakdown in patient care and communication. This is a violation of the ADA and basic patient care standards. This level of disregard for accessibility and patient care is unacceptable. MemorialCare's failure to respond to patient concerns is concerning . For this reason, we had to escalate the issue to UnitedHealthcare and the California Department of Managed Health Care.
