This doctor seems to have issues with his memory or he's faking it who knows. Been waiting for him and his staff to get my prescription for over a month so far nothing. Even though they get paid by my insurance. Some of his staff is great and some are not. His nurse rude and a liar jessie who try's to bully you and put words in your mouth. I ask to speak directly to the Dr. I get his so called nurse. I don't know how much clearer do I need to get! LIAR, LAZY, very unprofessional. During the pandemic they were playing games with my life. I needed certain diabetic medications and this is the experience I went through. He and his staff are not friendly and there very rude and don't deserve anyone as a customer. read more

Dr olsen is a great doctor but ever since Optuim took over the service has gone down hill. When you call in for a refill you do not get to speak with his direct girls and the recpt can not take a basic message even thou you say it over several times. Like I am xhanging pharmacies and you give them the name and oh nbr or my insurance has changed. My last 3 refills have got totally messed up and I had to call back 2 additional times. I got the wrong rx, they billed wrong ins or sent to wrong pharmacy. It is such a hassle! It doesnt matter how good the doctor is if the front office is horrible. I mention this to the doctor before but didnt do any good so now I am writing a review. Horrible service is a bad reflection on a great doctor. Its really sad that he is the one that gets the bad rap. read more

So disappointed in this office. Tried to make an appointment for my 86-year-old father who has diabetes and needed to be seen for immediate health issues. First, the phone system is a nightmare. You will jump through hoops and push many buttons before you can get through to the doctor's actual office. Secondly, office staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. Asked if I could make an appointment for my father, they told me it would take over 3 months to get him in. I asked if his doctor faxed over a letter saying it is urgent he be seen sooner be able to get an appointment sooner? They said yes and the doctor sent over a letter the next day. Never heard from them. Gave it a few weeks, called back to make the appointment and was told they are no longer accepting new patients! I said I have waited over a month. That's unacceptable, and they just kept repeating the same thing over and over. I asked to speak to an office manager and they repeated the same thing again and would not let me speak to one. This is a very unprofessional office with very rude staff. I've wasted weeks when I could have started the appointment process with another doctor. I only started there because I heard this doctor is good, but who wants to jump through a million hoops and then deal with office staff that are extremely rude. I would give this office zero Stars if I could. read more

Dr. Olsen is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and helpful! I was so worried that my grave's disease would affect my babies seriously. But he helped me with my two pregnancies and my sons are super healthy and wonderful! Thank you Dr. Olsen! read more

Absolutely amazing, and incredible Dr. And a wonderful Bedside manner. I'm young and stumbled across some growing thyroid nodules that my drs and I have been monitoring for years- it's been such a hassle to find a good endocrine dr.... my last one told me to leave and he couldn't help me. My mom just had her thyroid removed so I really felt the need to monitor mine. After my last Ultrasound I was in a panic thinking the worst.....I called so many and finally stumbled across dr Olsen- they were able to get me in way sooner than thought. Him and his nurse were ON it.... he literally showed up with my records I sent them the day before and had notes on everything. He sat down with me and ACTUALLY listened, was not rushed at all and took his time to answer my huge list of questions, reassure me on the workings of a thyroid and even took me to a mirror and showed me what he saw.... for peace of mind he had me get an fna- Who was done by another incredible referral. Litrally a day after the fna he called me early in the morning and his first words were Lauren, good news..... thank you- finally someone who knows people panic... My mom was even able to get in and had the exact same experience. Thank you Dr so much... you truly are a gem! read more

I have been Dr. Olsen's patient for almost 20 years now and I have never felt more comfortable with a Doctor. His bedside manner is amazing and he has helped me with my diabetes in great fashion. He is a specialist so you need to book way in advance, but he is worth the wait. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Olsen about a week ago. The consultation was incredible. I had been feeling pretty depressed due to a continuous loss of hair. My general doctor always dismissed my symptoms and well, not wanting to loose all my hair I started researching my symptoms on-line. Some of the causes for hair loss can be anywhere from thyroid, to vitamin D deficiencies. Since I'm very paranoid in nature I wanted to go so an Endocrinologist to check out my metabolism and thyroid. I made my appointment with Dr. Olsen because he has pretty good reviews on line. The day of the appointment the staff was super nice. I waited no more than 10 minutes for the doc to see me. Once I was there he checked absolutely everything and gave me enough time to hear me ranting about how sick I thought I was. He didn't dismissed anything I asked him to check. He assured me that if running all those tests was going to give me peace of mind he'll ask for them. I got my results back and they came with comments from the doctor wherever there are any "abnormal" results. He sent me lab request paperwork so that I can go get re-tested for some of the readings that came abnormal just to make sure. This doctor is amazing. After visiting quite a few docs that make you feel like you are wasting their time and are constantly trying to rush you out the door, Dr. Olsen seems to genuinely care. A very attentive and sweet doctor! Thanks Dr. Olsen! read more

After six years and almost as many endocrinologists, I've found a keeper in Dr. Greg Olsen. It's not that I'm a high maintenance patient. I'm quite the opposite, in fact, and that's the problem. Every other endocrinologist I've visited immediately wanted to micro-manage me without bothering to realize 1) I'm intelligent and can do simple math, 2) I'm an engineer and am therefore anal about my blood sugar by nature, and 3) a member of my immediate family has been diabetic since I was six years old so I have more firsthand experience than the doctor in most cases. My ideal endocrinologist is one who will review my numbers, offer suggestions to improve them, take my highly active lifestyle into consideration, and write prescriptions. That is exactly the role Dr. Olsen naturally filled from the very first visit. There was no "I'm the doctor, and you're just one of many patients wanting my time" vibe like many other doctors who try to establish respect through dominance and bravado. Instead, Dr. Olsen was calm and passive, yet clearly demonstrated his knowledge and experience. He reviewed my spreadsheet of blood sugar data and my current insulin values, and said, "These look good, but you might want to try making these small adjustments and see if you can improve them even more." Not once did I feel the need to defend myself, which is a common feeling I have in doctors' offices. He didn't even question my high blood pressure reading because he understood the nerves and anxiety that come with seeing a doctor - first visit or otherwise. My subsequent visits have been a continuation of the wonderful experience. Dr. Olsen's office is a clean and comfortable environment, and not nearly as crowded as other offices I've sat in. Whether in the morning or afternoon, my appointments have been ontime - within five or ten minutes anyway - yet there was no sense that he was rushing through me to get to his next patient. His nurse and office staff were polite and engaging, which is a pleasant bonus. As I said in the beginning, after six years of looking, I've found an endocrinologist compatible with my personality and goals. I've greatly enjoyed the visits I've had to date with Dr. Greg Olsen, and I'm looking forward to many more. read more

Was told by staff that Dr Olsen does not diagnose patients. Is only available to 'treat' them.

Dr. Olsen is without doubt the most knowledgeable, patient-centric, and cordial physician I have ever had the privilege of calling my Dr. He really works with you as a vested parter of your diabetic team. He listens and communicates quite well. He always takes the time to answer my questions, and is not afraid to admit his not knowing the answer. The office staff is exceptionally friendly and caring. I recommend your seeing Dr. Olsen if any of the following matter to you when selecting a physician: knowledge/well educated attention to detail good communication skills active listener jovial and cordial/extraordinary bedside manner down to earth quick to respond to calls (questions, concerns, and prescription refills) great memory of your well being, medical needs, and personal life approachable/humble/hard working spends generous amounts of time with you invests in your health care and well being always current and up to date with new treatment options and reccomendations I have seen him for 3 years to treat my type 1 diabetes and believe he raises the bar by which everyone should measure their physician. He has been patient with me and started me on insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring therapy, at my request. As a result.....my A1C levels have never been better! One last note.....when I started insulin pump therapy the insulin pump representative/training nurse came to one of my appointments with Dr. Olsen.....she commented to me (in amazement) that he was the ONLY physician she has ever seen that read the product information and knew the product, features, and functions from memory! Dr. Olsen is an awesome endocrinologist, second to none! Johnny read more

Dr. Olsen is a great doctor. He not only takes care of my hormone replacement but he is very friendly with a great bed side manner. He explains everything so you can understand. Recently I had my blood work done for my visit and Dr. Olsen called me at home and told me to get to the emergency room asap because he saw that I was in kidney failure . He saved me from dialysis .That is a sign of a very good doctor! I have already recommended to some friends and will continue to do so. He is awesome ! read more

Dr.olsen isn't a bad doctor but unfortunately his staff is a joke. I've been seeing him for years now and never had an issue. Until my insulin pump distribution center stopped distributing to California, which I then need them to send my prescription to another that does. 3 weeks of getting the run around and multiple high and very low sugar episodes. All they had to do was simply fax the information to solara and it was going to be fine. Week 3 I began to lose my patience and when I spoke to yessi I told her that "this is a joke, it's been weeks since I've had my dexcom supplies. Here is the fax number, this is unacceptable and you need to f****** handle it today" which of course upset her. I get that. I lost my patience. But one word doesn't hurt your health. You neglecting to do your job hurts mine tho. Miraculously the day after I request a call from Dr Olson they just received the fax. After I've spoken with solara multiple times and they confirmed that was the 3rd or 4th time sending the request. Yessi had also told me that I should expect a call back on the 13th of February which I never received. I called the following day and asked "what happened to the call back you said I was going to receive?" Which she replied "I never said that" with a nasty attitude. Ask and you shall receive... I then said " so you tell your patients things and just forget orrr???" Which was then translated to the "MD" that I called her an idiot. I never once personally attacked him or his staff verbally, besides indirectly cussing due to my frustration of a potentially life threatening situation. Which they obviously did not care about. Needless to say I'm finding a new endocrinologist. Kudos to you for standing up for your staff but they messed up big time and drop the ball. read more

Would have been nice to see the Dr., but I couldn't even get anyone to answer the phone to make an appointment. I sat on hold for over a half an hour. read more

Spent a lot of time researching endocrinologists and finally decided on Dr Olsen due to great reviews. Called to set up an appointment and receptionist refused stating even though we have a PPO we would need a written diagnosis from another doctor first. Have never experienced this with a PPO. Feel like she was mistaken but couldn't convince her otherwise. Unfortunate. read more

Enjoyed my visit with Dr. Olson and Staff.

DR. OLSEN WALKS ON WATER TO ME. THIS GUY IS GREAT.... I have been looking for a great THYROID DR. for years with no luck. They all sucked to put it nicely. From the moment I booked with Ms.Lauren at Dr. Olsen office it was great. I thought it was a joke because they were nice and friendly when i booked my appt. I asked at that time if the had a waiting list, i by some chance someone cxld and Ms. Lauren called me when one popped up. I snapped it up right away. I had explained how another THYROID DR. was stringing me along with the THYROID meds (dose to LOW) and dealing with my THYROID CANCER. PARKING GREAT OFFICE CLEAN,BRIGHT,NO FUNKY SMELLS STAFF, MS LAUREN ,MS YESSY (MA) AND DR.OLSEN ARE GREAT... WAIT TIME 10 MINS(1000HRS) DR. OLSEN was ontime and very friendly. He really cared about me and my issues. I did bring a copy of all my lastest labs, biopsy, anything to save time and money. I did not tell DR. OLSEN the med dosage to see if he would give the me the same dosage as the other Dr. gave me. Much like I thought.. the med dosage was wrong (50mg to 112 mg). DR. OLSEN said that I should not wait on getting the other side of the cancer Thyroid removed asap, other Dr. was not concerned. He did give me the name of a DR.JESSE TAN in LB not that butcher Michael Kim (LOS AL).. Look the botton line is this guy is great and I want to pass on the fact this guy is GREAT.. to all my other THYROID screwed over friends out there.... this guy is a keeper. thanks... A :0 read more
