This review is long overdue. Dr. Wolf is by far one of the best doctors in Southern California. He advised me on the issues for which I originally came to him, he then brought to my attention some new/better treatments for some areas that I was ignoring and didn't want to deal with. Additionally, he revealed some concerns that I did not even know about. I don't think you would find a more honest or more holistic doctor anywhere; Dr. Wolf treats the whole patient not just the symptoms. When I first met him about 13 months ago I had pretty much given up on life. I was 200+ pounds overweight and really did not care about anything. Dr. Wolf gently encouraged me to address the areas that he observed needing attention. With his guidance: I've lost 75 pounds, revived my libido, and dealt with the underlying anxiety/depression that was driving my inability to thrive in life. My doctor retired and I needed a new doctor. On my insurance website, Dr. Wolf was showing as "accepting new patients" in Orange, CA, so I chose him as my new doctor. I have a PPO plan and I take vital medications, including heart medication. I called to schedule an appointment to be seen to ensure that I did not run out of medication before I could get in to see him. That said, I was told that Dr. Wolf is NOT accepting new patients. I communicated the urgency to his front desk personnel that it was imperative that I be seen. She did not seem to care and I was nonchalantly brushed off and told that I needed to contact my insurance provider, HealthNet, to find a different doctor. Dr. Gregory Wolf is still showing as "accepting new patients" on the HealthNet website. Don't be fooled. read more

Website says office hours are Friday 9am to 5pm, I called several times... 9:30, 10:00, 10:20, 10:30... and i got their voice mail each time. I have been going to Dr Wolf for over 25 years. He is a brilliant Doctor who is extremely invested in his patients. Unlike or other Doc's I have been to Dr. Wolf doesn't rush in and rush out of the exam room. He takes the time to not only get to know you, but also to find out what your needs are. It is obvious once you spent time with him that he cares deeply about his patients. He also cares about solving any desires/problems you may have. Any time I have been concerned about my health he has always "been there" for me. He makes you feel like you really have a caring advocate in your corner (which is very comforting.) Dr. Wolf always keeps up on new procedures and new Clinical Trials, etc. I know this because he and I have discussed many new Clinical Trials and how they effect me. I have recommended many of my friends to Dr. Wolf and they have all thanked me profusely for doing so. His Office Manager Kathy is amazing!! Anytime I need something Kathy always goes "above and beyond" to make sure I am well taken care of. I have never met an Office Manager who is on "their game" more than Kathy. She is also the nicest Office Manager I have ever met!! Dr. Wolf and Kathy make going to the Doctors office a pleasure!! I can't say enough about these 2 wonderful people! Looking for a new family practice MD for my father, found this guy through his insurance search engine. First visit went alright, in and out fairly quick. Dr seemed knowledgeable and caring, sent us out for labs. Came back for visit #2...was scheduled for 2:45pm, waited in the front lobby with 2 other people ahead of us for an hour before i asked the receptionist how much longer. Guess she felt bad cause she walked us back to a room where we waited another 30 mins then finally left. All that time waiting and I could hear the MD walking back and forth chit-chatting with the receptionist and assistant but not once did someone lean forward and say there was a delay or that they're running behind. If it were busy I could understand but there were 2 people in the office before us. Total wait time was 1 1/2 hours and never got to see Dr Wolf. Apparently he doesn't need the business. read more

I'm pretty sure Dr. Wolf thinks I'm a bit difficult. I'm one of *those* patients who do a lot of Internet research, and who has her own ideas about the best course of treatment. Plus I have a couple of things about which I can be a bit of a hypochondriac. I love that he puts up with me, nonetheless, and I wanted to share one thing he did that--as a single mom who needs to try and stay functional at all times--I particularly value. I have been sick with some crud for the last several weeks. Yesterday I had the sense that, instead of improving, I was maybe relapsing, and so I called in a panic as I was worried about what might happen over the weekend. He waited until I was able to get there, saw me, reassured me that my lungs, ears, etc., seemed fine, and wrote me a prescription I could use in case things got worse. (Turns out they haven't--I'm writing this the next day. Hope!) Those of you who are in my situation can appreciate the peace of mind that gives you when you want to make sure you can be at your best for your kid.
