I show up for a 7am appointment and I am shown a cancellation form. Took me asking multiple times to receive any form of contact info for an "office manager". Also told me that me that my brothers insurance was accepted and after 8 months and 5 separate visits, received a surprise bill and told they do not accept his insurance. Told me some bs about how it took awhile to fax over insurance information from provider. Never received one call from the non existent office manager. Dr. Young is great but will not be retuning after multiple problems with his front desk staff who only know how to swipe cards and setup appointment. Extremely disappointed after I have had extensive work done at this office.

So, I went down the street to Access Dental and was getting x-rayed within five minutes of going through the doors. Dr. Pham met with me and gave the the straight dope - the tooth needed to come out. I came in two weeks later, and she had that tooth out in 7 minutes flat with very little bleeding or discomfort. Her chair-side manner is awesome; she is a sweetheart and genuinely cares for her patients. I will most certainly be back to her office as a regular customer. The only issue I had was her office staff. With the exception of two of the nurses, the front staff was slow and didn't really seem to pay attention to detail. Maybe they're new, I don't know. I hope Dr. Pham keeps on them to improve. She did not stand for any mistakes while I was there. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Pham and Access Dental Meadowbrook. They are awesome. Everyone is very kind but they can get pushy and recommend things you don't need. Also a little…read morejudgy and anxiety inducing/ scaring you into doing things. Once had 5 students in my mouth completely unsupervised. I was getting a filling and the one with her hands in my mouth said "umm.. i think i forgot a step" like girl what.. didn't even ask for help just kept going. the filling was gone not too long after and it wasn't cheap. The rest were just gawking it was uncomfortable. I didn't set another appointment so they blew up my phone I had to block them.

I specifically asked for a consultation on how much that would cost with my insurance being out of network. BEFORE making appt i reiterated i wanted a consultation only and asked if there would be any fee to me being out of network. 'No, your consultation is covered.' CONSULTATIONS ARE NOT FREE apparently , they billed my insurance subsequently for a $91.00 visit out of network. They got paid $46.00 and I received a prompt text that I needed to pay an additional $45.00! I don't really care they got paid the $46.00 but to harass me for $45.00 for 6 minutes of being with the 'Doctor' to tell me it would be $1000 out of pocked for tooth #7 flipper is outrageous. NO X-RAYS: nothing but a few minutes of 'consultation'. SO I GUESS SHE WANTS TO MAKE $910/hr if you extrapolate that math????? before hardware??????? My new tooth feels even better than my old one. Also big shout out to the staff, the treatment coordinator gave me an accurate and fair quote before the treatment over the phone (many I called would not do this) and was very pleasant. I also really appreciated Dasia the dental assistant, she has a lot of experience and her calming and pleasant demeanor definitely helped ease my nerves (I am a very nervous patient lol). On the scaler machine, on the dental tray liner, ect. When I pointed out the hair on the dental tray liner, the dental assistant acted annoyed while she changed it. The dentist was entirely focused on products. During my cleaning, I had so much pain that I was crying, tears running down my face. When I left afterwards, the front desk person luckily didn't try to schedule my next appointment. I saw none of the usual friendly staff I had previous met. I don't know what happened here.

I…read morewould not recommend going here anymore. the new dentist, Dr. Gloria, could not numb my tooth for a crown despite at least six shots and also pricking my lip with the needle. No there was no blood but I definitely felt it. The crown had to be made twice and does not have the detail work that a good crown should have. A visiting dentist was able to numb me and install the crown. I had a lot of pain when the anesthetic wore off but there was no emergency after hours number to call. Fortunately I had some leftover pain meds in my medicine cabinet. I have had 4 crowns and this was the worst experience. I have switched to Kennedale Family Dentistry in Kennedale. It is worth the drive!
