I text Liz to ask if they can add my sister at 10:00 for hair and makeup and she confirmed yes. I have all the proof on my text. Then a few days before I asked if they could do my hair at 9:30 no makeup and they were nice enough to accommodate me (or so I thought) fast forward to day of our big event. Yes I was running late and they moved it down that was my fault. But when my sister got there at 10:00 they started asking for one of my nieces saying one of them was suppose to be at 10:15. My sister called me on speaker and Liz was very rude and unprofessional. She totally made my sister feel so uncomfortable on a very important day for her and her daughters. It made me so upset that the start of their big day was ruined by how rude they were being treated and how Liz was yelling at me on the phone. I sent screenshots to my sister so she can show them proof of all our conversations. Liz dismissed it still blaming me. I told my sister here is the text she sent me with prices because I have a feeling she's going to try to charge you more. Sure enough my sister said she tried to charge her more. Upon seeing my nieces to get them in their quinceñera dress I could not believe the makeup that was done on them. I could have done a better job. They slapped sloppy glitter on top of their eyelids and put on cheap eyelashes. Their makeup looked lfar from special and the girls were so disappointed they almost cried. This "beauty bar" is not for a special occasion! Avoid at all cost. You will be disappointed. The makeup artist is nicer than Liz that's for sure but does not do quality work. Pay more for makeup because a cheap price comes with cheap makeup and hair . Update! The business intended to clarify but they are wrong. The attitude of Liz ruined what was suppose to be a special moment for my sister and nieces! There was no need to be rude and yell at me on the phone!

I don't usually wear makeup on day to day basis, so I was looking for someone that could achieve a natural, glowy, k-beauty type look for my wedding. When I saw Kahn's portfolio, I knew she was the one! I booked her first a HMU trial a few months before the big day- I absolutely loved my makeup at the trial but decided I want to go for a different hairstyle after taking some time to think about it. On the day of the wedding, I was honestly a little nervous because I didn't get the chance to try out the new hairstyle, but Kahn understood my vision and delivered exactly what I had asked for (which looked even better than I could've imagined). I truly have never felt so beautiful than on my wedding day, and it's all thanks to her! My only slight qualm with the service as a whole (and not Kahn's fault at all) was that there was a last-minute scheduling conflict and Kahn was unable to stay to do hair and makeup for the rest of the bridal party. However, the agency provided us with an additional HMU artist and offered to have Kahn come back during cocktail hour to do a free touch-up. I appreciate that they offered this concession, because it was great to have her touch up my makeup after shedding some tears at the ceremony. Kahn even offered to touch up the groom, and helped me with my outfit change during that time. The two additional makeup artists (Nikki and Madison) were also great- my mom was extremely happy with her makeup and said it was the best makeup service she's ever received. Overall, working with Kelly Zhang Agency was a smooth process from start to finish and I would 100% choose them again if I had to do it all over.

I was super important for me to work with HMUA who are familiar with Asian features. The studio and Caroline (the account coordinator) was very communicative and clear. I had a few changes in my HMUA. I booked Kelly a few months prior to my wedding and decided to have a HMUA stay longer to assist with touchups. Overall, communication was great and there were no hiccups. As for the service itself, I was nervous for HMUA because I don't wear too much make up and my trial with Kelly the day before my wedding at her studio in Pasadena. At the beginning, Kelly and I chatted about my skin and what I was looking for. I shared some inspo pics and she quickly grasped the ideas of what I was looking for. Kelly is not just a HMUA, but truly cares about those she works with. During my trial, she would checked in with me during the process - asking me if I was comfortable while working on my eyes. Furthermore, I had shared with her that my press-on nails were stressing me out (they kept popping off!) and Kelly immediately called her nail lady to see if she could squeeze me in for an appointment. Within 10 minutes, I was at the nail salon getting my nails done! The day of, Kelly and her team arrived earlier than expected. We had 4 bridesmaids + 2 moms scheduled for Kadet and Maddie. Many members of my bridal party had never gotten their hair & makeup done before; Kadet and Maddie were very skilled in understanding what each person was looking for and executing quickly. My party shared high praises for both! Since Kelly and I worked the day before, I had an idea on what to expect. We made a few tweaks the day of - the falsies kept bother my eyes and Kelly kept tweaking them until they were perfect and comfortable. I also initially wanted more blush and Kelly was willing to add more, but advised to just sit in the makeup before making any changes. She was right! After sitting with the makeup for a bit, the balance of it all felt perfect. It turned out perfect and what I wanted - fresh and natural and looking like myself. I appreciate Kelly sharing her expertise while still being open to changes. She was a pleasure to work with a calming presence that make the wedding morning flow smoothly. I would recommend Kelly and her team to any brides that are looking for HMUA that is skilled in Asian features. All members of my bridal party were glammed and comfortable. Thank you so much to Kelly, Kadet, and Maddie for helping us look our best!

Heidi has been doing my make-up for almost ten years. I can tell her the look I want to accomplish and she has always got it right. She knows how to make you beautiful. My wedding day, she made me feel like I was gorgeous. The make-up was flawless. Her classes have taught me how to do my own make-up from the smokey eye look (which we all know is hard to accomplish) to the everyday look, I always get compliments. All I have to say is I recommend her to all my friends, especially her classes. She teaches you with your own make-up so that you can recreate the look any time you need to. I would never use anyone else. She really is the best. I highly recommend her classes! They are so informative and fun! She has really taught me everything I know about make-up. Not only is she incredibly talented at what she does, but she's also extremely warm and personable. I typically don't fuss over hair and makeup, but Claudia knew exactly what to do and made the entire experience not only comfortable but truly enjoyable. Both in the months leading up to the wedding and throughout the weekend, Claudia's communication was impeccable. She knew exactly the right questions to ask to ensure that she captured my vision. Let me start by saying that I had a wonderful experience with Claudia! Not only was she kind,…read moreprofessional, and very fun to talk to, her make-up and hair was brilliant!! I had a proper three day Indian wedding in Goa, India and I had the pleasure of having Claudia do my make up and hair for all three days and 5 different events. First of all, Goa is incredibly hot and humid, like you have never experienced this kind of heat hot. Secondly, most of out events were outdoors, and as it is an Indian wedding, involved a lot of dancing and jumping around. Lastly, my hair is incredibly curly/frizzy and looks a little scary with high humidity. On top of this, I have incredibly sensitive skin and tend to get random redness, rashes, and discomfort (especially in high heat). I am not sure what Claudia did, but every single event, my hair and make-up looked flawless! I had no messy frizziness and all of my updos stayed for 7+ hours through sweating, dancing, drinking, and wearing what I can only describe as the heaviest skirts ever. My wedding day look remained intact through 6 am (we had a giant reception and an afterparty). I even slept with my updo and the next morning it still stayed intact and my flowers were still all in my bun! My make up looked so natural but gorgeous at the same time. I do not like the heavy make-up look so I wanted something that highlighted my features but did not make me look like a completely different person. I should say that I did something risky and never did a wedding make-up trial. This was mainly due to me living in the US and Claudia being in India. We had very limited time to meet, so by the time we flew over for our wedding, we only had a few days before the event. My first make-up and hair was for a welcome party event, and it was also my first time with Claudia! Oddly enough, it has become one of my most favorite looks! I cannot recommend Claudia enough. A few of my friends have already asked for her information for their upcoming weddings. I would gladly use her again if I have an event in the future.

Only that wedding Tiffany did my makeup and hair was the best! Btw she did my friend, the bride's makeup as well. So pretty!

We had a trial session where I met Manning, and she was so warm, chatty, and approachable from the very beginning. The session was lengthy (I think 4 hours?), but it flew by quickly because we were having a nice time. On the actual wedding day, Manning and her team graciously accommodated to the chaos of the situation (I have a toddler at home, and we had just moved to a new house with minimal furniture - and should I mention I accidentally overslept as well??). She also gave my hair the small special touches I didn't know it needed by fashioning a hair piece from some florals I already had at home for my tea ceremony, and also magically produced another beautiful hair piece that would match my bridal dress. She literally saved my hair that day!! My bridal party was very satisfied with their hair & makeup, and everyone's H&M lasted for more than 12 hours on the big day with minimal touch ups. I was given a bridal touch-up kit as well, which was so thoughtful and had everything I needed. I appreciate Manning's detailed makeup and hair technique - she really makes you look like the elevated and best version of you in a very natural way. I'll remember how she patiently added small bunches of fake lashes with artistic care so it looks like I had been blessed with good eyelash genes naturally. That said, if you are into very heavy, dense makeup with giant false lashes that will give the very drastic "before" and "after" look, then this is not for you (but why would you want that for your wedding anyways). Thank you, Manning, so much for making my special day so memorable!!

Thank you Studio MM&B !…read more Studio MM&B provided hair and make up for my wedding to the 5 Bridesmaids, bride, and groom. As a groom, I was skeptical of having my make up done. But I really loved the service provided from Studio MM&B. They provided a very clear schedule that laid out which person would be with each staff member and approximately how much time each person would take. They brought 3 staff to assist with the make up for our wedding party. One was specifically for the bride and groom and the other two staff member were for the bridesmaids. They were extremely friendly and the service provided was excellent.

I was desperate to find someone good and at a good price - cuz I paid a lot for my American wedding stuff. So I found Kim on Craigslist and saw her work online... so I figured why not? I emailed and called her and OMG. It was SO last minute, she was able to do my hair and makeup THAT Saturday (I called her on Wednesday). Since my Chinese/Viet wedding was all day, she had to come at 6am to do my hair and makeup. She was a lifesaver! She was very professional and came to my home at 6am and started with my makeup. I told her what I wanted but wasn't sure because I'm not Chinese/Vietnamese, so I'm not sure what his mother would want. She did an amazing job on the makeup. My mother in law loved it. I tend to tear up when I have a lot of eye makeup and she totally fixed it. She made my eyes pop without changing how I looked. The hair was AWESOME. She made it perfect! Curly with on one side. It stayed the whole night too! I just told her what I wanted and she gave me input cuz she knows Vietnamese/Chinese families... so I wanted what would make them happy. She uses high end products - which I couldn't believe I found her from Craigslist AND her prices was AMAZING affordable. I tipped her highly because her prices were ridiculously low (trust me) for something I would pay double and triple for weddings. She did an amazing job and gonna post some of the photos! She was great! I'm totally going to hire her for other events if I need hair and makeup. I loved her so much!!!
