I unfortunately had a terrible experience here. I had a cut and balayage on 9/1 and my hair was seriously damaged from the bleaching. My hair looked fine when I left the salon, but I was also rushed out by the stylist, she didn't even turn the chair around and give me a mirror to see the back of it. Her name was Yanisa, or Neesa. It wasn't until the next day when I tried to pull my hair back into a ponytail that the bottom half of a half inch wide section fell out into my hand. The sections that were bleached are so damaged that they form a mat when I try to gently detangle my hair in the shower. Every time I brush my hair, my brush is filled with a ton of broken pieces of hair, some look very frizzy and my hair is so weak that it stretches when it is wet. I had not had my hair colored in one year so it was not due to previous damage. The salon has been completely dismissive of the issue. I called to speak with them about it and when Mindi got back to me she said she'd never heard of such a thing before. Asked for pictures which I sent, then told me the stylist said "it didn't look too bad" and that she wasn't sure what they could do since they can't reattach the broken hair. They eventually offered me a treatment of some kind, I told them I was not comfortable with the same stylist doing it and Mindi said she would call me back w/other options. It has been a week and no response. This is incredibly disappointing, I paid $300 to have my hair damaged. If you go here I suggest choosing an experienced stylist. read more

First, I'll preface that I had a good haircut from them. But it bothered me that I made an early morning appointment as a first-time customer. The place was empty when I arrived. The only customer getting her hair styled was with the stylist I was scheduled with. 5 other employees were wide open and sitting around chatting and gossiping at the register. After 15 minutes, the owner should have offered to have someone else cut my hair. I ended up waiting 25 minutes for my trim, which took 8 minutes. That would have been fine if the place was busy, but it was just a bunch of employees standing around. Not a great first impression. read more

Adam is an amazing stylist! he really takes his time to make sure everything is leveled and falls perfectly and makes you feel secure! He doesn't let you leave the chair if ur not fully satisfied! I've had my hair blown out a few times here too and its simply the best, and lasts for days! Amber really knows how to work a brush! If your looking for curls hers last foreverrrr! And her makeup work is always breathtaking! She's so polite and sweet and all around great! Haley is also so awesome! So I'm very picky on who cuts my hair. I just recently moved to Boca Raton and was recommend this place. When I walked in I was nervous. First I got a barber hair cut but this lovely lady. She was more worried about leaving for the day then taking care of me. I was VERY upset with my cut and they let me see Brad right after. He fixed it to the best of his ability. After I let my hair grow about a month I went back to Brad and wow. He did everything right. My hair was on point and exactly how I wanted it. I'm so happy that I was able to find someone down here. This is an awesome little salon/ blow dry bar. I came in yesterday for a single process and blow dry and was well taken care of by Amber. She was very professional and upbeat. She did a great job on my hair and checked on me multiple times as I was processing. She offered me beverages and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Gianna and the GK team are wonderful. I initially went in for a blow out with Nicole, which was a great experience. While I was there, I saw Gianna finishing up on a client's color in the background and was impressed with how beautiful the woman's hair had turned out-- so much so that I scheduled an appointment to get color done with her a few weeks later. My experience with when I went in for a balayage with Gianna solidified my first impression of the salon. She is incredibly talented, very knowledgable, and took the time to explain what would be my best options to maintain healthy hair (I have very curly, fine hair with a decent amount of heat damage). I really appreciated that she took the time to actually explain what she was doing and why, especially as someone who is relatively new to coloring my hair. Some salons can have a bit of a pretentious/unwelcoming atmosphere but the environment here is just the opposite with plenty of positive energy. Everyone is very friendly and sweet during my appointments and, if you get lucky, you may even get to meet Gianna's adorable pups when you stop in (pet therapy while you're getting pampered anyone?!). April 14, 2015 The saga continues...after Gianna blew me off for my 2nd hair straightening, I learned that she lied to me about running late for another client. She actually left the salon because she didn't feel good. Why would she lie to me? I don't get it. The truth would have been much better to understand. But the lying continues... She promised to refund me my money. She said she would credit my credit card that I used and would call me to let me know it had been done. A few days went by and no one called me and no money was credited into my account. When I called them, the receptionist told me that Gianna wasn't able to credit my refund back to the card. Another example of horrible customer service - no one called me to tell me that. And I wonder now if she even tried, since she has a history of lying. I certainly have no trust in anything she says now... Next, the receptionist told me they would send me a check in the mail. I was away on a business trip and when I got back on Saturday, April 11, there was no money in my mailbox. I called on Saturday, and the receptionist told me that I had to come into the store to pick up the check - that Gianna did not want to mail it to me. Again, no one called me to tell me this. I don't know how this place stays in business with this type of poor communication. Today is Tuesday, April 14, and I just went it to pick up my refund. I asked to speak with Gianna, but she let the receptionist deal with this problem, rather than being forthright and speaking with me directly. A real coward. And this is a business owner? Now Gianna is saying that until I take my comments off YELP, she will not give me my refund. So now I am being blackmailed! Why would I take my comments off YELP, before I get my refund??? Seriously, after this kind of treatment Gianna, I promise to write a poor report about your lousy customer service, poor client treatment, and horrendous hair straightening job every day until you give me my refund. Additionally, word of mouth is the best kind of advertising. Therefore, I also promise, to share my experience with every person I know who is looking for a hairdressing salon and bad mouth your salon. I am not a liar. I promise to do this and I promise to delete my comments when I get my full refund just like I told the receptionist on April 4, when she told me that you were actually sick and that is why you cancelled, and that the terms for a refund were to remove my comments. This is not the way to run a business. You give me my $175.00 and once the check clears, I will take my comments off YELP. I went back in this past weekend to reschedule a "REDO" for today, Tuesday, at 5pm - (that I hope was at no charge) - and they called me at 4:45 to ask me to reschedule my "REDO" of my hair because another client came in late - and they took her, and had to blow off my appointment. She literally called to cancel my REDO 15 minutes before the appointment - and wants me to go in another day for it - which I cannot do, as I am traveling the next 10 days. The hair straightening was $175 + a tip that didn't work, by the way, and their customer service is horrendous. I have been to this salon several times before and was never treated this way. I demand a refund and will never go back to this place again, and will never recommend it to anyone. Actually, will share my experience and have people decide for themself. I am disgusted with the "Good Karma" salon. Complete bullshit. Bad karma to blow off a client 15 minutes before an appointment because it doesn't SUIT you! read more
