This review is based directly on what is documented on the invoices…read more A senior family member brought her vehicle in for a check-engine light and a coolant leak. Per the invoice, she was charged $164.89 for check-engine light concerns and $98.00 for a cooling system pressure test, totaling $290.14, which she paid. The cooling system pressure test to identify a leak was reasonable and not disputed. However, the invoice also documents deferred/declined services totaling $3,289.48. These included extensive recommended repairs that were declined after review. Notably, the invoice states the alternator was not charging and was not repaired, yet a full check-engine diagnosis was still performed and billed. Diagnosing electronic engine and transmission faults while the charging system is inoperative results in unstable system voltage and unreliable fault codes. In addition, a battery was installed without authorization. The invoices show the battery initially quoted at $260, later reduced to $160 without a warranty, and only after objection was it ultimately provided at no charge because the original battery had already been discarded. I expect better authorization practices, transparency, and diagnostic standards -- especially when working with senior citizens who rely on a shop's guidance. Based on what is documented on the invoices and the amount of declined work presented, I cannot recommend this location. We are asking for a refund of the 164.89

"Nice guys, reasonably priced, explained everything to me" Gearhead Motorworks is it! Its two guys - Josh and Travis, working out of their garage but don't let that deter you! They're licensed, knowledgeable and thorough. I was having some issues with my Dodge Dakota. Josh took the time to listen to what I had been experiencing and set me up with an appointment, even gave me a reminder text one day prior which is awesome. I dropped off my vehicle and maybe 20 minutes later he had given me a call back to explain what him and Travis had found and what they'd be doing next. Maybe an hour later (if that) they delivered my truck back to me. I appreciated that Josh took the time to explain to me exactly what the issue was and the repairs he made to correct it. I'm super happy to have found these guys and definitely recommend them. Look to Google for more reviews on these guys.

They gave me video's/documentation of their inspection and discovered that the oil plug was not properly tightened. They Steam cleaned the mess in the engine bay and surrounding areas. Then they replaced the oil plug and gasket, filled it with the proper oil and inspected the engine bay to ensure everything was up to spec. With my wife being disabled this could have turned into a very bad situation. With their video and documentation that was given to me I was able to present the evidence to their competitor for a refund of everything involved. Thank you Christian Brothers Automotive.

Would not recommend bringing your vehicle to this CBA location…read more I originally brought my Honda CR-V in June because the check engine light had returned with a P2138 code related to the APP sensor. They diagnosed the vehicle, reset the light, and were unable to get the code to return. They then added oil to test for excessive internal oil consumption and told me to return in a few weeks for additional testing. When I returned about three weeks later, it seemed like they were unaware of why I had brought the vehicle back, despite having specifically been told to return. They performed another round of testing and said the vehicle had failed an oil-consumption test, but that additional testing was still needed. This was frustrating, as this was already my third visit for the same issue. I also noticed inconsistencies between their courtesy inspections. The first inspection claimed I needed new brakes, bad struts, a coolant flush, and several other services--even though I had recently replaced the brakes. The second inspection, just a few weeks later, said the brakes were good, the struts were fine, and the coolant was fine. This raised concerns about the accuracy and attention to detail of their inspections. On my third visit, they performed a borescope inspection of the cylinders and recommended a $10,000+ engine replacement, claiming an intake valve was stuck open and had caused significant damage to the piston. This diagnosis seemed questionable given that the vehicle had no misfires, major knocking, or check engine lights other than the original APP sensor code, and I regularly drive it about 40 miles a day without any major issues. I decided to get a second opinion from a family friend who is a master technician with over 40 years of experience. After inspecting the engine, he stated that it was "in great condition for its age." The supposed piston damage CBA pointed out appeared to be the factory valve-relief indentations in the piston, which are there by design. When I brought this information back to CBA, they changed their explanation and claimed the indentations were not positioned correctly, despite appearing symmetrical. Overall, this experience left me with very little confidence in their diagnosis or inspections. I originally chose this location because it was close to my home, but I will not be returning and would recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere.

John got me and estimate to replace my cars bumper that I had damaged, I figured since they would be in front of the bumper area, why not also have them install a new set of horns, new Air vent Bezel DRLs, and replace the front bottom grill with a new aftermarket grill that has fog lights, I asked and John said they could do it! The aftermarket fog lights for the bumper was originally made to be fitted into the Korean bumper, not the US, it was not a perfect fit, so it was almost not done! Until Jeremy! This guy managed to modify the living day lights out of the grill itself that wasn't meant for my bumper, needless to say, they could have stopped and not done it. But John and Jeremy went above and beyond what they had to and I am very grateful because the bumper now looks amazing. I'll post pictures of before the car was damaged and what it looked like without the aftermarket parts, then the after of when they replaced the bumper and also added all the after market parts. I am grateful for the amazing job Bruce and Jeremy did, however I am also very grateful to the rest of the staff here that out work into my car. You guys made it awesome! Thank you! I'll be coming back here again for sure. I highly recommend.
