Great family business that does good, quality work. Their prices are very reasonable. Especially when you compare them to the Fresh Laundromat on 188th Street & 73rd Avenue. Six shirts dry cleaned at Danny's is about $6-$7 per shirt. At Fresh Laundromat, they want $10 per shirt. Danny's gives you value for your money. They even do alterations. If they cannot do it, they will tell you. read more

I had a fire in my house on 10/10 and lost most of my possessions. I had 2 jackets that mean a lot to me. I called different cleaners near me and they didn't want to try to clean them. I called Danny's and spoke with the owner he said bring them in . I picked them up and they look new with no smell or smoke damage. read more

Danny's Drive In Cleaners - The jackets - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Fresh Meadows, New York

Just started visiting this business. I am impressed by the fact that they have a tailor there 7 days a week and are open 7 days a week. That's awesome for busy people like me. They even pick up & do deliveries. So far, I'm happy with their work. I'll let you know if anything changes. The gent who handles the store is very friendly & helpful. Another plus is that they have parking. That's big for Queens. read more

Have been thru Danny's a few times, accompanying a friend on a few pickups, I thought to drop off some dry cleaning of my own -- I was curious. All cleaning services are in house, not sub'ed out to another shop-- not to him nor her, they nor them. I used to deal with a dry cleaner that sent some overflow to unknowing hands and I DO NOT want unknown hands on my fines. (unknowingly to me) Another constant, an important but frequently overlooked attribute is that the owner is always on the premises. Any questions, problems, observations or other can be all hashed out inside, at any time. One perfectly dry cleaned blazer and a few shirts lightly starched to perfection, I was quite happy the sharp looking happy camper. read more

Been going here for over 16 years ! Excellent work, excellent staff, delivery and discounts for paying cash ! All around a great dry cleaner run by people who care about customers and hire quality staff ! I recently moved 15/20 mins from the neighborhood but I Still bring my dry cleaning here . They deliver to my new place but I'd still go here even if they didn't because their work is consistently excellent. My items are clean, pressed and ready on time AND handled by good friendly staff - can't ask more !!! read more

Full disclosure I've only been here once but I dropped off my white suit to be cleaned and i did have some dirt stains on it that I was worried about and they made it look brand new. I definitely found my new dry cleaners and they're open on Sunday read more

This place seems to just always be busy, I think it's because they offer same day service. Went here to dry clean my suit. The guy was not super nice, but I was not really offended by him. I guess the best way to put it is watch a movie with a horrible stereotype of a New Yorker from Brooklyn or Queens, and that's who I was speaking to. They ask for the basics, asked for my name and number and when I wanted it back. Me: "Whenever, I'm in no hurry." When I received the receipt back it said the next day. Me: "Whoa I can pick it up tomorrow?" Guy: "Yeah, you know in case you have a hot date." Got to give the guy some credit for making a funny! Anyways, they seemed organized enough. You get a discount if you pay beforehand and in cash. It's a 10% discount I think? So woo I saved a DOLLAR!!! Prices are okay, not totally out of line. I came and picked up my suit in the next few days, and there was lint on it when I took it out at home. It didn't have any visible stains when I brought it in, so I'm not really sure if it was really cleaned, or just pressed and then hung back onto a hangar for me. WHO KNOWS!? Not I! Just a tidbit, you might be lucky as a new customer to leave the place with a new nickname. Mine is "Kant Cheng". I kinda like it. It's catchy no? read more

Hello guys I am very busy usually I don't have time to do this. My friend Was sick she couldn't pick up her clothes. I strongly urge Nina C. to try Danny's again. After my neighborhood Dry Cleaner changed owners, I was looking to find a place that had better hours, parking and did the same quality work. I definitely was not going to find that in my neighborhood so I ventured out near the workplace. I came across Danny's "Drive In" Cleaners, which has a parking lot, Sunday hours, and seemed to do good work. They offer normal dry cleaning and laundry services all done on premises which allows same day or next day laundry and dry cleaning, whereas most establishments have a two to three day turnover. Prices for laundry service are about average; dry cleaning is on the higher side, however, since beginning to use them two weeks ago, I can definitely say it is worth it as the staff are friendly and efficient and the quality of work is high. 10% is also offered on dry cleaning services if paid in advance. Parking lot in front of the place. read more

Today the craziest thing happened at Danny's. I have been a loyal customer to this cleaner for awhile. I absolutely love their tailors. They are 2 brothers that do great work. So When I recommended them to my husband he brought his suit to them. He was quoted a price that was already quite expensive but because I told him they were good he left the suit to be altered. Upon pick up, they charged an additional fee claiming that it is added tax. When my husband questioned this, one of the owners (not sure which one but my husband said he was tall), became irate, cursed and him and said, "if you don't like the prices get the "F" out. I have been here 35 years." He then proceeded to physically push him out of the store. His own workers looked shocked and held him back trying to stop him. Wow. I am shocked. As a long time customer who adores the tailor brothers I don't know how I will be able to bring my business here again. read more

This was my go to cleaners for 20 years of living in the neighborhood until today. The staff has changed and doesn't care about their customer's clothes. The owners obviously made all their money and don't give a damn either. Very disappointing. I brought a coat to be cleaned that had some pleather piping. The guy who waited on me was a jerk. Unfriendly and not helpful at all. He told me I had to sign a waiver in case the coat gets damaged because of the pleather. I asked is there a possibility of that happening. He said no, it's just in case. Since I never had a bad experience at Danny's with any type of clothing in the past, I signed the waiver. I went to pick the coat up today, paid the over priced $35 to get it cleaned but before I left I looked the coat over and alot of the piping was peeled away. A perfectly good coat was ruined. One of the managers came and said "Oh yeah, they were not supposed to put plastic on this...but then said, do we have a signature. He said if I wanted to I could buy leather strips and the tailor could sew them on. Yeah right. He did give me the money back for the inept cleaning job and said he it was alot of money to clean that coat. What really bothers me is that they know someone at Danny's messed up with cleaning this $400 coat and no one gives a damn. This isn't about the material of the coat. Someone did something wrong. And sometimes, it's not about the cost of the item, but about something you love to wear. Danny's Dry Cleaner sucks now...beware...no one gives a damn about you or your clothes. They became just like all the others. No customer respect or satisfaction. read more

I always asked him to Laundry my shirts but instead they did dry cleaning , after a while i start to see white spots on my shirts from chemicals that they used . I went to the store and talked to the owner , this guy is nasty , he start screaming and cursing , worst customer relationship ever . Then i discovered that some of my shirts had burned spots from chemicals and they even patched them up with same color material that customers wouldn't be able to see right away. My husband's family LOVES Danny's! When we got married, I wasn't sure what to do with my wedding dress. My husband immediately brought my dress to Danny's. They were courteous, helpful and incredibly informative! They helped me make a decision on the best way to clean and preserve the dress. In addition to bringing in my dress, we also brought in my husband's North Face. On the job site, he had caught the back of the jacket and torn a hole in it. Not near a seam or anywhere convenient...Danny's tailors were able to find a patch and fix the hole. They did a great job fixing a tough hole! They have text notifications when you're items are ready, which makes the whole process so convenient! read more

This facility is a dry cleaners and a UPS access point location. Definitely convenient. Last week I dropped off a shirt to be dry cleaned (first time ever) and had to pick up a package. According to UPS, the package was delivered to the cleaners; however, the kind man working there said the package was never delivered. I became visibly upset because the package I was waiting for contained my fathers death certificates because he has recently passed. The worker assured me the package wasn't delivered yet, but he would inquire about the package when the delivery man comes in. This was early in the day. He said he'd call me about 4:30pm to let me know if he received it because they close at 5pm. At 4:25, he called me to let me know he didn't receive the package, but the good news was the package was delivered to my house. The compassion and customer service he displayed was amazing. He remembered and reached out with empathy. I will definitely be back and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this cleaners. read more

The business hours for Danny's is probably the most attractive feature for me. I can drop off or pick up before or after work and I'm usually out the door in 5 minutes. When it gets busy, employees in the back very often come to the front to get the line moving faster. Even the owner Danny will come to assist and he often wishes his customers well as they leave, which is a small but thoughtful gesture that should be recognized. It's enough to keep me coming back. read more

The staff seems clueless. They also have a $10 minimum policy with credit cards yet have no sign up anywhere. I'm looking for coins in my car because I'm too busy to go to the bank for the cash.., the staff was unapologetic. Now I know to go elsewhere.. Until today, this was my go-to for dry cleaning and alterations. I was a loyal customer for 10 years, even though they were pricier than other places. I purchased a brand new white blazer that needed to be taken in on the sleeves and the back of the blazer. As this was brand new and had never been worn, there was no way there could have been stains on it, no less water stains. Water stains would have been something I would have noticed when I purchased the jacket. After spending $40 for alterations, I came back to discover a huge water stain on the front of the jacket. First , how did they miss a huge water stain on the front of the blazer when they did so many alterations on the blazer. To then proceed to give me a hard time about it when it was caused by dirty water leaking from the steamer onto my jacket. I just wanted them to rectify the situation. After the owner tried to make me feel like it was my fault, he said he would "give it a try because water stains are hard to get out" Today I returned only to find yet another water stain on the sleeve. I didn't even want to waste my time talking to the owner since he clearly has no idea how to run his business and took no responsibility to try and find the cause of the problem. So I showed the girl behind the counter that the steamer clearly needs to be cleaned and water changed as it left watermarks all over my WHITE jacket. Of course the owner, jumped into our conversation, and tried to put the blame back on me - even though I showed him that I had never even worn the blazer - same conversation as last time - the tags were still attached. I made it very clear that I wasn't even asking for my money back or a discount but I was letting him know that his steamer is dirty and leaving watermarks on clothes. He then proceeds to tell me it's my fault and in the 10 years that I have been going there, he's never seen me before. He refused to look up my account to validate what I was saying, and said in a month it wasn't going to be white anymore. This owner was rude, condescending, uses dirty equipment, producing shoddy work. The quality of their cleaning is far from what it used to be. I would recommend ANY other cleaners than this place - you would save a lot of money as their prices don't justify the quality of service or customer service. read more

I have been a loyal customer for about 28 years, and although I find that ONE-of the OWNERS to be rude and not very appreciative of my loyal commitment ... by his tone of voice and his condescending attitude toward me at times, I continue to use his service..... HOWEVER today I realize that on top of the pricey prices they are now charging a NON-CASH fee when I use my debt card... I don't carry cash in my pocket ... I use my debt or I use Apple Pay which I was told they accept... Not until after I checked my receipt did i see the charge.... Rude and Condescending I could tolerate , taking my money unknowingly is a NO NO... I will be taking my clothes to BROOKLYN Bridge Street cleaners for now on. They are pricey too however their owners have a great appreciation for their customers....... read more

I have been going to the cleaners for two years since I moved into the neighborhood. The staff has always been nice, respectful and friendly, However the owner is lacks all 3 attributes. I came to drop of my dry cleaning slightly before the store was closing and I was quite happy I made it. Once I expressed how happy I was that I caught the store open to finalize my last errand the owner started shouting that "We have families we want to go home to". My response was "I completely understand that as we all have families and if he preferred me to come tomorrow that would be fine" as they are open seven days a week (only good aspect). He shouted again at me in front of a staff person I could take my clothes elsewhere and after two years of giving Danny's my dedicated business...I left with my clothes in hand and handful of disappointment read more

Danny's has been my dry cleaner for the better part of 13 years and counting. I work a job that requires I wear clothes that are usually dry clean only, so I am here at least monthly with a very large drop off. They have always been courteous and helpful, in fact they often recognize my car and have my clothes hanging before I even walk in. It's a neighborhood place, and they make you feel like one (a neighbor) even though I moved away some years ago. Yes, I drive about 20+ minutes to drop off dry cleaning, even though in NYC there are probably hundreds of cleaners closer. That should tell you something about this place. I've also had them tailor my clothes as well, and they do a great job. I'm sure I could tell you many other good stories about this place, it's just too early in the morning and I'm sitting right outside waiting for it to open (at 7 am). :) read more

This place is great. The dry-cleaning is quick and convenient Very good service.

Adding another review about this place. A repair they had done on a $150 dollar sweater of mine has just fallen apart. That's after they had charged me more than any other place would charge to repair the zipper on the sweater. It literally broke off. How come I have clothes, jackets and jeans all with zippers, which I wear at least 10x more frequently than this sweater, but yet the zipper on the sweater has completely snapped off? I won't even be going back to them to rectify this issue just bc their customer service is below poor. You want to know how bad it is?? I drive all the way to Rivington Street in the LES bc there's a place there that does amazing alterations and are beyond friendly. Avoid this place at all costs. And don't take my word for it; read all the other reviews. read more

Money hungry rush cleaners. They damaged a few of my items and the grumpy owner/manager had the nerves to tell me "it's just a hat". Are you kidding me ?? Do not use this cleaners. We brought in a suit that was a few months old. When we picked it up it had a hole in the pants. The owner denied that it happened in his store - he was rude as could be - and he said he gets sued all the time so we should just sue him and he'll win. No apology, no acknowledgment of responsibility and, most of all, no manner or common courtesy. Guys like this shouldn't be in business and most certainly shouldn't be used. Stay away. Great service at reasonable prices, and the parking lot makes for quick and easy drop off and pickup.

One of the best cleaners with their own small parking lot to run in and drop your stuff off or pick up and come right back out. Never had an issue with them ever. I'd also like to add, the parking lot is clearly for their store and not for drivers to park and run elsewhere. There's free parking along the side streets for the other establishments that do not have their own lot. read more

WHAT A DISASTER....... I have been going to this place for close to 15 years now and i spend an average of $60 a month. I have never had any real issues with this place beside the fact that they constantly raise the prices and offer very average service..... I wish i could give them 0 stars Here's my beef: I dropped off 12 button down shirts this past Sunday just like i do every 2 weeks to get cleaned for work, i came in on Wed night to pay and pick them up. When the employee handed me my shirts i noticed that 2 of them were not in the plastic sleeves and looked extremely wrinkled. when i asked him why these 2 shirts were not cleaned his response was they were damaged so they decided to not to clean them and give them back. He then proceeded to show me that on 1 of the shirts underneath the armpit area the shirt had a massive burn mark on it, this is when the owner steps in and says "yea, once we saw this on Monday i informed the girls not to wash it" so i said: don't you think you could have called me even 1 time between mon-wed that I'm picking it up, and let me know about these "damaged shirts" i dropped off? He says we were busy, lol. who isn't busy you loser...... He goes on to make up a story that i probably went to a club and bumped into someone with a cigarette told him you are a good story teller, that should be your real job.... I told him I'm married with kids and the last time i went to a club was a looooong time ago. He then claims that perhaps while i was smoking i burnt the shirt.....now hes just being obnoxious, i told him i dint smoke i never smoked and nobody i know smokes either....fine he continues to be rude and begins using curses to show me how strong his vocabulary is...... then they show me the 2nd shirt and there is a tare on the sleeve, i told him what story do you have about this one? Make a long story short i asked him to reimburse me for the shirts he said absolutely not, he raised his voice and was just unprofessional. I couldn't believe after 15 years, spending money left and right and sending customers to him that he would react like this. I would have cost him $100 max to replace the 2 shirts, but his cheap ass would not do it. i spend $60 a month over there, y would you not make the customer happy...... In any case i have filed a complaint with the BBB, and have opened a case with my attorney General.... STAY AWAY from these thieves, there are plenty of other places in the neighborhood that offer great service for much cheaper prices.... read more

I have been going to Danny's Drive In Cleaners for a number of years now, at least ten. I am very satisfied with Danny's cleaning and tailoring. NOT EVEN ONE STAR......but I had to give a rating. My first review of this place is under the other name "Danny's Cleaners"....(also negative). However, I accidentally came across this and saw the review from D.S. and I recalled a similar experience at this place.....with a corduroy shirt! I brought in a tan color corduroy shirt with some beading on it because I wanted to know how much it would cost to dry clean.....so the owner put it down on a table toward the side to examine it (not the regular customer drop off and pick up table)....... thought the price was high so I took it back and left...... I did not realize this when I left however when I brought it to the next drycleaner near my office for a price, as he was holding it up in the air to examine it, we both noticed that on two different places, there were some sort of "bleach" stains I was livid because I realized that it had to have happened on the table that the owner of this place put it on to examine it!!! (must have been drycleaning fluid that was on the table the owner of this place put it on). I didn't even bother going back because as you can see from the other reviews, it would be a futile attempt to argue with an arrogant owner. As I said in my other review, BEWARE of this place. They are very friendly UNTIL there is a problem. THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR ERRORS! My other review mentions that they ruined a suede coat and I had brought it there because I saw some sort of sign that says they "specialize" in suede. NOT!!!!!!! STAY AWAY! The only plus to this place is that they have a parking lot......BUT NOT IF YOUR CLOTHES ARE RUINED!!!! I have since found that there are less expensive places around the neighborhood and they are more customer-service oriented. read more

Danny's Cleaners in Fresh Meadows, New York is utterly despicable. After getting my clothes dry cleaned there for five years and spending thousands of dollars in total, I ended up severing all ties with that business due to bad customer service. About a year ago I brought a sweater to be dry cleaned, picked it up and found that it shrunk. After asking the owner of Danny's Cleaners for reimbursement (store credit or something) he refused and instead accused me of shrinking the sweater myself. He knows my family and I are honest and would never lie about something like that. And even if he was not conscious of our integrity, the fact that we spent so much money with them is enough confirmation that we would never lie over something worth only $50. So not only did Danny refuse to provide proper customer care, he also accused us of being dishonest. It was a stab at my character and my loyalty to them as a customer. It does not take a genius to realize the value of a loyal customer but I would never go to Danny's Cleaners in Fresh Meadows because of their lack of respect toward me and my family. read more
