Every once in a while, you find a contractor who reminds you how good the experience can be when someone is truly a master of their craft. That was Danny at Danny's Doors. He responded quickly, showed up when he said he would, and did excellent work. More importantly, he went above and beyond, identifying and taking care of several things I didn't even realize needed attention, without turning any of it into an upsell. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, reasonably priced, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. You could tell he takes real pride in doing the job right. A terrific experience from start to finish. I can't recommend Danny highly enough. read more

My garage door stopped working yesterday. I called Danny. When he called back I described the problem, he knew immediately what the issue was, he gave me a reasonable price and showed up the next morning. He was done in about 40 minutes. Excellent experience. I'll never call anyone else for anything to do with my garage door. read more

Danny replaced our garage door after the previous installer's poor workmanship caused it to open and close improperly and make a lot of noise. The space was a tight fit because of that prior work, but he still made everything line up perfectly. The new door operates smoothly and is noticeably quieter. He was punctual, responsive throughout the quote and door-selection process, and extremely efficient -- finished the entire job in under three hours and worked quietly the whole time. Highly recommend Danny for any garage door service. read more

Danny was absolutely great! He is extremely reliable, communicative, and pricing was fair, as I almost went with HD or Lowe's. He initially wanted to try to repair the motherboard to the opener and since it was from '93, I figured a new one was warranted. Within an hour and a half, a brand new opener installed and he cleaned up the garage. read more

Danny is a true professional! Replaced a much needed older garage door and now have a garage free of drafts and cold air constantly blowing into the garage. Extremely reasonable with the installation costs as well. read more

Danny is amazing. I needed a garage door replaced after storm damage and he gave a thorough, honest assessment and a reasonable estimate for a new door and garage door opener. Price was significantly cheaper than other vendors and he came a week later and installed the door within two hours. Best experience ever! read more

I'm not sure why the business description talks about general contracting and the photos are stock photos of wood frame construction and painting. Danny's Doors at 60 Longview St in West Orange is actually a garage door company. Look them up on Facebook. Their sticker was pasted on one of the garage doors of the house I recently bought so I called Danny when the older garage door opener of the two doors died on a Sunday. I called his number expecting to leave a message but he picked up the phone. He came right over within the hour to diagnose the problem. He asked if I wanted a chain or belt drive system and explained the differences in function and price. I went with the belt drive because it was quieter even though it was more expensive. We scheduled the installation for the next day and he installed it while I was at work. He also installed a keypad on the outside that could open either door with a code. I thought his price was fair, the work was solid and he was quick. So I would recommend him for your garage door needs if you are located in his service area. read more

Our garage door was making an awful noise and when it was cold outside, it wouldn't close. Danny came the same day we contacted him, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. We were impressed with his skill and professionalism. We thought that his price was reasonable. read more

Danny's Doors should get 10 stars! Starting with the extremely fair estimate to the perfect end product Danny and company were a pleasure to do business with. Particularly impressive was that I mentioned that when I walked behind my cars I would get scratched by the hinges on the old doors. The next day I noticed that Danny was thoughtful enough to install a metal bar across the hinges to prevent this from happening again. They even changed a burnt out light bulb in the garage. Wonderful little N/C extras that you don't see many guys bother to do without being asked ---redefining great service! This is one company that I would proudly refer to even my most discerning friends. read more
