To be honest, we were disappointed in our visit here. This is a seat-yourself restaurant, which is fine, but it took about 30 minutes before we were greeted or waited on. It wasn't just our table either. The couple next to us eventually walked up front to ask about the long wait. Once we were able to get our order in, it was another 50 minutes before we finally had our meals. Unfortunately, we were brought fries instead of tots and a hamburger instead of a hotdog. They corrected both of those but it just made for a longer wait time. My bacon cheeseburger was alright. My daughter didn't care for the hotdog. On a positive note, my daughter gives the milkshake "1,000 stars" and was a big fan of the tots. Not sure if this was an off-night for them, but it may be a while before we try again. read more

This is a great casual place if you are in the mood for burgers and fried food. It seems like a great place to take a family, with arcade games and TVs throughout the restaurant. My husband and I ordered two burgers, fries, onion rings, and the mac and cheese bites. It was way too much food, but that's pretty much the way we roll. Food: The food was delicious, though if you are looking for something healthy, this place doesn't have much for you. The fries and onion were rings very crunchy and crispy, if a little under salted. But that problem was solved by the seasoning salt on the table. The mac and cheese bites were crunchy on the outside and super creamy on the inside. Eat them first though, because as they cool, they cheese hardens a bit and is less creamy. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, with super melty cheese. I liked the way they were served "bottomz up." The theory seems to be true that it is easier to eat a burger that way! Service: The service was great and the staff was friendly. They checked in on us frequently without being too overbearing. Price: The prices were pretty standard and even fairly cheap. Even with ordering all of that food, our bill was less than $30. It is a little annoying that burger toppings cost extra, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter. Atmosphere: This place is super casual, as a burger joint should be. There are no frills, with basic tables and chairs. Most of the decor is sports related, and there are lots of TVs, so you could definitely catch a game here. It is a great place to bring a family, and I don't think anyone would mind a rowdy crew of kids here. Cons: I noticed that they served the drinks in styrofoam cups and the burgers came on paper plates. This seems pretty environmentally unfriendly, and they could at least switch to paper cups instead of styrofoam. If they switched to reusable dishes, I think this place would do a lot better! TL;DR: If you're looking for a casual, quick dinner with the family, this is a great place. The food is tasty, and the service is good. read more

This place seems to change ownership and its name frequently but what doesn't change is the friendly hometown atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the menu offers mostly fried foods. We always get burgers, I get the single hamburger with ketchup, mustard, fried onions, and pickles and my husband gets the double bacon cheeseburger with everything. We share a small basket of fries which is more than enough for the two of us. I get soda, he gets sweet tea and since we are in "The South", it is very sweet tea! The burgers, fries, and drinks are tasty although everything is considerably more expensive than when we first went there because the prices go up, up and up with every change in management. It used to be a delightful bargain to eat here and we'd come several times a month, now it is an average-priced delight to eat here and we can only budget to eat here once every other month or so. We very much enjoy it when we go there! read more

UPDATE JULY 4, 2020-I visit the restaurant regularly but was there Saturday only for the first time since COVID-19. I was appalled at the lack of masks for the workers. While the initial order was taken by a mask-wearing server, there were three (3) subsequent trips to our table by non-masked personnel. I really couldn't wait to get out of there. This is my favorite place to eat in the area. The food, although basic, is great tasting. Their milkshakes are just the best! I read some of the negative reviews about the staff and I am really surprised. Everyone has always been pleasant and hard working when I have visited. Stopped in for the first time today. Staff were very friendly and service was pretty quick. The burgers were the best in town and served "bottomz up." The kids sandwiches are generous and none of my 3 finished theirs, just bc of the size, not because they weren't good! The fries and onion rings were brought out first so we had all begun eating before the other things came out. Both were very good. I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, especially with young kids. This is by far the best burger we've had at any establishment! Each place has its thing and burgers, fries, phillies and shakes are definitely theirs. Oh and the club! Get Danny's club and you won't be hungry for a day. I saw someone compare it to fast food chains but they are being ridiculous because it's not even close. Sure they get busy sometimes but that's normal for good places at lunch and dinner. Worth the rate and very reasonably priced. I did enjoy the simplicity of this place for a good burger. However, today I was quite disturbed by the attitude and behavior of the cashier. She seemed annoyed to have to cash us out. We discovered we had a miscommunication in our Togo order. We wanted double bacon cheeseburgers and misspoke and didn't say double. When we realized this situation the cashier told the cook that I conformed we had misspoke and that it's on us instead of trying to resolve the situation. The cook was very nice and said no big deal, I'll add a patty. The cashier continued to be rude. She messed up the credit card payment so we couldn't enter a tie for a server and didn't offer any alternative. She said well it's too late. Although the cook stepped in and fixed the burger issue. The cheeseburger I ordered, was cooked by a big overweight man, who handled my food with no gloves, eating everything he could stuff in his face, all the time ,wiping his nose and cooking his orders. Disgusting. He never washed his hands before cooking the orders. He is a nice enough guy, but no clue on how to properly prepare food. RUDE. I am from out of town on business and I went here on Saturday evening around 7 pm. It is seat yourself so I chose a booth in the center of the restaurant. I ordered one beer, a Vienna Lager on draft, which was served to me in a red solo cup, and my dinner to go. I sat in the booth until my food came in a to go bag and was then told I should go to the register to pay. All was fine, I paid at the register, left a tip on my card, and went back to where I was staying to enjoy my dinner. I came back to do the same thing today (Tuesday), order one beer and wait for my to go order. As today the bar top was less crowded today, I chose a seat there. When I started to give my order I was told I would not be served alcohol. Apparently the servers on Saturday said I left the premises with my beer. I honestly thought the guy was joking. I asked if he had me confused with someone else and he said no, his staff would be able to pick me out of a line up. I am almost 30 years old, why would I take a RED SOLO CUP CONTAINING ALCOHOL INTO MY VEHICLE. (???) where I'm staying is not within walking distance, it is a rural setting, if I wanted to drink elsewhere I would have purchased some from the dollar store which is directly beside this restaurant. As I was leaving today, when I tried to speak with the man who refused to serve me he was extremely impolite and walked away while I was just trying to explain he had me confused with another customer. As a business professional, this was embarrassing and the accusations were uncalled for. Don't waste your time here. read more
