THE ABBEY IS A HIDDEN GEM INSIDE THE TASTY TABLE! I am so…read moreexcited that Murfreesboro finally has a place where food and overall experience is the core of the restaurant. And when we arrived to the tasty table we discovered that it was closed but the Abbey Pub & Coffee House was still serving food. Let me begin by saying Austin is by far one of the nicest human beings I've ever met and was a staunch champion of the Chef and her expertly curated menu. The Monkey Bread is a the best I've tasted & adds a unique touch by having four sections with different flavors. Herbs & cheese adorn the top of this appetizer & with the garlic & marinara dipping sauces this makes for a starter that the entire table will fight over. So much so we bought an extra batch to go. I ordered the Beer Battered Mahi Mahi with beer battered asparagus & I can honestly say this is the most delectable fish I'd ever tasted. The batter is fried to perfection until it's flaky, golden/brown. The Mahi Mahi is so juicy, which is a hard task because often times restaurants overcook the fish. Not The Abbey...you can tell the chef(s) take pride in each dish. And I've never had fried asparagus & I can honestly say this will be my new go to over fried green beans. The batter gives the asparagus just the right amount of sweetness they need to take a relatively boring veggie to the next level. My mother ordered the Pasta. I'm not a pasta eater but I surprisingly look over my mothers plate. The sauce was so flavorful...savory with a hint of sweet that makes for a boatload of fireworks on your tastebuds. It's quite delicious. My only request would be to the option add a protein like chicken or salmon BUT honestly it doesn't need a thing. Here's a secret...Order the Flybird...it's an amazing take on a margarita...it uses wine instead of tequila. Thank me later. Overall my Abbey experience is easily my new favorite restaurant in Murfreesboro and when I come home to visit my parents this will be my go to spot. I cannot wait to see this gem of a food experience to expand!

Pasta was overcooked and mushy. Not much in between the layers of pasta and too salty. It tasted like a bad version of Chef Boyardee canned pasta. Cookies for dessert looked store bought. The salad and bread were good. Not my favorite and I don't understand all the five star reviews. They don't rate in my book.

5 stars is not enough!!! Smoking Delights deserves many more than 5!!…read moreI can't say enough good things about Smoking Delights!!! The food is amazing! Amazing is an understatement to be honest. They are such sweet people and a real pleasure to do business with. In all the years (27 to be exact) of having meals catered with the company I work for, we've only had ONE caterer where there was not a single complaint by employees, and that caterer is Smoking Delights. They bent over backward to accommodate my urgent need of the meal being on a specific date (less than 2 weeks from the date I contacted them), I wanted ribeye steak cooked fresh and served for 3 shifts (140 -ish employees) on their normal break schedule (3:00 AM, 11:00 AM, & 7:00 PM - all in one day). I had contacted multiple caterers already and none would accommodate my request for 3rd shift. Kenya kept saying "we can do that" with each and every add-on to my request. They thought about everything all the way down to having sour cream and bacon bits for the baked potatoes without me having to ask for it.

I planned my first event with my new company this past weekend and thanks to Jeff and Chef's Table…read moreCatering, it was a hit! From the beginning, Jeff was extremely responsive and worked with me to meet some specific needs for this event. I mentioned multiple dietary restrictions, the need for dinnerware/glassware, and my hope to have an attendant to help serve/clean up. Jeff went above and beyond to meet all of those needs. He and his team member arrived two hours early to prep and set up a grazing table that we enjoyed while he prepared the main course. He then served the main course and dessert, all while cleaning up after us. The food was all amazing, but what impressed me the most was his attention and care for the small details - he brought ice and non-alcoholic drinks when he didn't have to, he brought to-go boxes so I was able to send food home with guests, just to name a few. Finally, the Monday after the party, he drove all the way back to the party location in Nashville to pick up glasses since some were still in use when he was packing up to leave. I had many guests ask me for his contact information because they loved the food. Do yourself a favor and hire Jeff/Chef's Table. He will be a hit with your guests and make your life easier.
