I've bought boots from Danner for the better part of 10 years now ... and I buy work and motorcycling gear. Last week I went to get my usual size 9 riding boot and a week later they special-ordered/sold me a floor model and tried to pass it for a new pair ... disgusting ... I returned it when the so-called "visiting regional manager" asked me if he could "wipe it down" to make it look new ... and I said No?? ... So they tried to reorder and found out there is no supply till April ... So buyer beware, if it's not in stock you're better off waiting until it arrives ... we'll see when that time comes and they can't blame the supply chain or production manpower .. then my ratings will be reviewed. read more

Zero customer service or help.... I needed to try on different size boots and they would just walk away..... I can't go in the back and help myself, I am dependent on your service...... Great staff here - always very helpful and friendly. During these strange times, the staff is wearing masks and limited people inside. There's also shields at the register for further protection. When it comes to retail - product and service are my top two registers for high remarks and Danner hits on both categories. Aside from quality products, i purchased La Crosse wader boots from them - though I haven't had a chance to test them out, they are amongst the more comfortable ones I've tried on. I also bought some danner dry hiking boots for a day out in the snow and those are very comfortable and kept my warm and dry while out sledding. What validates the 5 star rating is that I bought the waders last weekend and the hiking boots the following weekend and there was a sale going on. When the gal that was checking me out saw that, she did a price adjustment on my previous purchase to save me more money as the store was doing a 25% discount! I wasn't expecting that - so it was greatly appreciated that they go above and beyond to take care of their clients. I hope i won't be needing more boots any time soon with my two recent purchases but if I'm ready for more or need someone else needs boots, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend Danner! read more

I frequent The Landing in Renton and kept seeing the Danner sign on the store front and had no idea what it was. No one I knew had any idea what it was either or the products they sold. My fiance and I happened to be having dinner at The Landing last night and he had mentioned he needed new boots for work. We were walking by to go to the car and I noticed they had boots, A LOT of boots. We decided to check it out and went inside. We were greeted immediately by a very friendly guy named Ricky. My fiance is an automotive technician and needed boots that were anti-oil and anti-slip as well as having some toe protection and being comfortable. Ricky took us over to the exact boots my fiance was looking for and gave us complete information about each boot. Even telling us what the boots were originally made for and how they were modified for every day use. Danner carries so many different types of boots for so many different uses, I was blown away. They carry everything from simple hiking boots to boots for mechanics to even boots military and police officers would use. The boots are a bit pricey but they come with warranties, some 6 months and some a year. Once the warranty is up Danner offers boot re-crafting which for a small fee you can completely have your shoe remade. Having the options of the warranty and the re-crafting totally makes these boots worth the price tag. Ricky was so helpful and amazing he even told us the history of the company which was really interesting. Some of the boots are even hand made! There are only a few stores open which is kind of neat because to me it means they really care about the product and the customer, not just making money. My fiance and I spent the better part of an hour looking around the store and Ricky stayed with us the entire time offering information and even telling us about the boots he personally owned and why. They do not work on commission and I thought it was awesome how much care we were given. My fiance ended up buying the Vicious 4.5" Black NMT. Based on Ricky's knowledge of the products it was the perfect boot for him and very comfortable. My fiance is very happy with his purchase and I even found a pair of hiking boots I will be going back for. The entire experience was one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had. Last week i spent 330.00 for 2 pairs of boots. After wearing one pair for a week they just keep getting worse. The boots are rubbing my toes RAW. I should of known better than to travel 75 miles to the store in Renton. I just called and asked them what their return policy was? The answer she gave me was once you wear them out the store there is no returning them. So basically i am out 160.00 for boots that just keep getting worse. So to the Danner store in Renton, F u and i will never in my life buy another pair of boots from you guys. This Danner boot store is awesome. Started in July when I bought a pair of "imported" Quarry boots. The dang things would not break in and would pinch off, what felt like nerve, right on my ankle. So I took them in a couple times to see what they could do. They found that the pieces sewn together at that particular spot was just a little "funny". They tried to rub the spot a few times on a wrought iron bar they have in the store, but to no relief. They offered an exchange, but I didn't want to possibly go through the hassle again. So they allowed me to exchange for the American made versions, with a slight price difference. Glad I upgraded too, cause these are some of the best damn boots I've worn. The break in was really no time at all, but once they were, it only got better. I also broke the a few months back. Since I work fairly close by, I stopped by to pickup a pair of new ones. The customer in front of me was a little picky at the moment when I was trying to pay, so the gentleman behind the counter said they were on the house. Awesome. Then about a month ago I started to feel what seemed like a "ridge". Causing some discomfort. I don't know why I waited so long, but I finally stopped in today to see if there was anything they could do. Ricky, I think his name was, looked at my boot and said my shank was broken. This would cause an overlap in the part causing that "ridge". He walked over to the computer, talked with another employee then went to the back room. After a few minutes he walked out with a box and they'll exchange them, but the only downside is that the warranty will expire. No problem. New boots, happy feet. I've never had a bad customer experience in the Danner boot shop at the Renton Landing. Employees are awesome, knowledgeable, and definitely go out of their way to help. Had a pair of Danners I bought elsewhere and after 3 weeks they the sole had peeled off the toe 2". I took these into this store to see what they could do. They said to return them to the store I bought them and they should take them back because Danner will stand behind them. I thought I was dealing directly with Danner at the Danner store!? I later tried to return them to the original store I bought them from and they gave me the number to Danner in Portland, OR. Danner in Portland had me send them back them in Portland. This Danner store in Renton is just a sales front and not very helpful. read more

Hi, I had been considering a pair of Danner boots for a few months. I had been looking online and reading reviews. I finally went to the store in person to try some on. I walked in with a particular boot in mind. I changed my mind at least four times in the hour or so that I and my girlfriend were there. The salesman that was helping me, his name was Ricky, was great. He was patient,attentive, and really outgoing. I saw that he was listening thoughts and critiques about the boots he was showing me. I genuinely feel that I was sold my boots, rather than just buying them. I have been wearing them daily for almost six months now. The boots are in still in great condition. I feel they are only going to get better. They were stiff for about a week. I feel that is to be expected when the boots are made with such high quality leather. I got a pair of danner fowlers (discontinued) at a little over $100 when i got them they did not fit so i figured go to the danner store trade them in. I do this and It took me hours of arguing just to get them to own up to the warranty on the boots and replace them and there idea of doing so was to give me $75 in store credit prob is nothing in the store is under $200 and tried desperately to get me to walk out with discontinued jogging shoes that were nothing like what was purchased not water proof no ankle support in short not a comparable trade finally the manager Ken gives in and says he will set me up with another discontinued boot that was close to the one I baught and gives me an order form with the boot number on it.....here I am 2 weeks later no boots i call to find out whats up to find out ken chamged the order after i left to a cheeper boot and i still dont have them......I even drove out of state to talk to these people and I still have recieved nothing but arguments and bad customer service I am apaled at the treatment I recieved from this company especially because of its good reputation I will never deal with this company again never!
